Find the perfect shoe:
The kind of high heels you wear can definitely impact your walk. Start off with a pair of wedges, as those are the easiest on the foot and are less likely to hurt!
You can then slowly graduate to platforms, chunky heels, and stilettos when you're comfortable.
Fix your posture:
Ever noticed how runway models walk with one foot directly in front of the other, and are usually with their backs straight and their hips out? These aren't just moves for show, they're actually tricks used to avoid injury! Try it, you'll instantly see a difference.
As with all new shoes, heels take time to break in as well. But you can speed up this process by rubbing a little petroleum jelly on the inner rim of your shoe before putting them on. As you walk, your shoes will begin to loosen up and adapt to your feet. This trick also avoids friction burn and shoe bite.
Practice makes perfect:
We are well aware that the perfect walk doesn't come easy. So the only way to combat this is to work them heels as much as possible! Try wearing your heels around the house on lazy days, and practice walking around your room in front of the mirror. You'll be a pro catwalker in no time!
