Take it slow - While some people can go vegan overnight, there’s no shame in taking your time with the switch to veganism. Make small changes to your everyday meals and slowly incorporate veganism into your diet.
Don’t forget the nutrients - Especially when starting out on a vegan diet, it can be difficult to ensure you’re getting all the essential nutrients you need.
Try new things - One of the most exciting things about going vegan is trying out exciting and adventurous new food! You’ll probably need to leave your comfort zone anyway, particularly if you were a big meat eater, but going vegan can be the perfect opportunity to try out food from all over the world as well. There are plenty of vegan cookbooks to help you on your way.
Ask for help - Whether you’re at the supermarket or at a restaurant, don’t be afraid to ask the staff about their vegan alternatives. Most people are happy to help and give a few pointers for future reference.
Don't give up - As with most new changes, giving yourself time to get used to being vegan (and perservering when things get tough) will pay off as you become more and more accustomed to your new diet.
