Dipa Karmakar, didn't win a medal but did win the world's heart. As the first Indian woman to compete in the gymnastics her breathtaking performance was groundbreaking, plus she finished 4th which for her first Olympics is pretty amazing!
Michael Phelps, 28 medals, 23 of them gold. Not much more to say on this, apart from we are 90% sure he's part fish.
4. Katie Ledecky: Four golds, one silver, two world records with victories by unheard-of margins of 4.77 and 11.38 seconds. Now, that's an Olympic games to remember.
Katrina Hozzu has won 3 Olympic golds in 4 days, smashed an Olympic record of two mins 6.58 seconds in the 200m individual medley. Despite the controversy that has surrounded her over the press making sexist remarks by congratulating her husband/coach before recognising her accomplishments, she's had a brilliant game.
Shaunae Miller, the Bahamian sprinter who controversially won gold in the women's 200m by diving to the finish. Apparently it's a legal tactic, so kudos to her...
Usian Bolt won the 100m final which wasn't really a surprise. What was a surprise was him smiling at the cameras, while the other runners looked exhausted. Funniest photo ever.
Mo Farah, a GB national hero, fell with 16 laps to go in the 10, 000m but he recovered and won gold. Go Mo!
Wayde Van Niekerk broke the 400m world record, beating Usain Bolt. This fella is definitely one to watch!
Adam Peaty won gold in the 100m breastroke, not bad for someone who was afraid of the water as a child.
