A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Dipa Karmakar had become the first Indian female gymnast to qualify for the Olympics. Even though she finished in 4th place and did not win a medal, she created history, and has captured the hearts of millions of Indians.
The next heroine at the Olympics was bronze medalist wrestler Sakshi Malik, who bagged India's first medal at the Rio Olympics.
And last but most definitely not the least, badminton player P.V. Sindhu became the first ever Indian woman to win her country a silver medal.
We think it's insanely inspiring that these women have reached the heights they have. They're an inspiration to young Indian girls—that with hard work and determination, you can achieve great things. Hats off to these amazing ladies!
