For all you novice make-up artists, Illamasqua
’s Precision Brow Gel is like a skeleton key for lock pickers. And for novice lock pickers, a skeleton key is like Illamasqua’s Precision Brow Gel for make-up artists. Make sense? Good.
Showing us how the latest brow beauty trends are really done, In this video, Fran
from Channel 4's Made in Chelsea
tries out three different brow styles using the same gel. With Illamasqua's very own Zoe Peplow
showing us how, it won't be long before you start showing off your own mad skills in the brow beauty department!
The new brow gel from Illamasqua
is so versatile that it’s going to make you want to lock your bedroom door and try everything from Cara Delevingne
’s bushy browed look, to Kim Kardashian
’s dark and defined look, to whatever - you get the point.
For the base, Fran used Illamasqua Hydra Veil
, buffed the skin with Illamasqua Gleam in Aurora
, then applied Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in 10.5
and Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in AU
. On the eyes she used Illamasqua Masquara in Raven
. Then for the three brow styles, here's what to use AND what to do:
1) Zoe used: Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in Awe
for the “Naturally Sculpted Look”.
Go easy on the product and be confident on the brow shape you want; there's nothing worse than channeling a set of weak, painted eyebrows! Just like Zoe's done for Fran here, use a fine lining brush
to draw fine hairs through your natural brows.
2) Zoe used: Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in Strike
and Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in Awe
for the “Bushy Browed Look”.
To enhance the shape and colour of your brows with these bad babies, once again using the fine lining brush
(and don't forget confident, steady hands!), apply the product to your brows only when your face is COMPLETELY relaxed. No raised eyebrow "make-up face" needed here! Unless you want colour in the wrong place. Keep as neutral a facial expression as possible.
3) Zoe used: Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel in Strike
and Illamasqua Skin Base Lift in Medium 1
for the “Dark and Defined Look”.
Now, for the mother of all eyebrows, start to fill in colour from the CENTRE where the hairs are thicker and denser. Using light brush strokes in the direction of hair growth, work up then outwards to colour the eyebrows!
