Exotic prints are in!

Shivan and Narresh are the biggest names in resort wear in India, so its no surprise that we were all excited to see what they would do for this edition of Lakme Fashion week. Held at the poolside in Hotel Palladium, their show titled Henri's garden was inspired by his (Rousseau's) images of his vista to the botanical gardens. The statement prints, which are dominant in Rousseau's canvases, were liberally used on all garments ranging from bikinis, swimwear, jumpsuits, kaftans and other styles of resort wear. The collections also had something for those interested in trends beyond resort wear--like lehengas, saris and cruise gowns. The prints were exotic and mesmerising--perfect combinations of pastels which enthralled all present. Geometric prints are all set to become the hot new trend this season.
