Maria Grazia Chiuri will assume the role in July, following the departure of Raf Simons in October 2015 (took their time deciding, didn't they?!). Maria Grazia Chiuri alongside Pierpaolo Piccoli took over Valentino in 2007 after Valentino Garavani retired. The duo have been praised for their work, which has been met by much critical acclaim!
Maria it seems is now going it alone! Although Dior haven't officially released a statement over her appointment it is looking pretty set in stone. We're excited to see what she creates at Dior and for a female to take the role of creative director, a first for this fashion house!
