Welcomed via video conference onto local morning show Good Day Sacramento as "Carla" Delevingne, fashion's wild child Cara didn't take well at all to a candid American pummelling on live television yesterday morning.
Reporters here may be lining up to kiss the model-turned-actress' butt - BUT (ehehe) - she doesn't appear to be having much luck across the pond.
Sure, U.S Vogue gave Cara her first ever solo Vogue cover but even then, reporter Rob Haskell went as far to belittle Cara's opening up about her sexuality; "Her parents seem to think girls are just a phase for Cara, and they may be correct."
Separated from her love St. Vincent, it's clear that Cara's innate fondness for sarcasm didn't translate very well on U.S screens.
Zeroing in on her, the anchors first poke fun at Paper Towns before hitting Cara with one insult after another...
- "First of all I loved the movie, I loved the author...I still really dig this movie. This is the teenager I always wanted to be because they're eloquent, they speak like middle-aged screenwriters..."
- "You do seem a bit irritated."
- "We'll let you go then, how 'bout that? We'll let you go take a little nap, maybe get a Red Bull. How 'bout that?"
