We're all nosey by nature, so we love nothing more than a celeb breakup song full of shade. Especially when it's super obvious who the song is aimed at. Watch the best 9 tunes aimed at another celeb, and read below for the low down on who they're about...
1) Little Mix- Shout Out To My Ex
This song was recently released, and it has caused a lot of drama. Lyrics like "I hope she's getting better sex" were bound to stir up some rumours. Let's be honest, this is about Zayn Malik. Good on Perrie, if someone ends an engagement over text the least they deserve is a sassy breakup song.
2) Professor Green: One Eye On The Door
This single has just been dropped and OUCH is it harsh. Obviously aimed at his ex-wife Mille Mackintosh "People wanna know what my life's like behind closed doors what's my wife like, it gets crazy in bed- We watch a couple episodes of a box set and then it's night night". Until the song is fully available, listen to Back On The Market which is of the same ilk...
3) Taylor Swift: Dear John
Obv about John Mayor, like a number of her songs. Apparently it made him "feel terrible because I didn't deserve it. I'm pretty good at talking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do".
4) Taylor Swift: We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
Taylor is the queen of songs about ex-boyfriends, this is a personal fave. Straight to the point. Poor Jake Gyllenhaal.
5) Justin Bieber: Sorry
Quite a sweet ex song, really. This is a public apology to Selena Gomez for basically being a massive knob.
6) Justin Timberlake: Cry Me A River
Who remembers this! Major throwback vibes. This song was rumoured to be about Britney Spears and her cheating ways, with Wade Robson.
7) Miley Cyrus: 7 Things
This sassy song was a list about all the things Miley hated about Nick Jonas following their split in 2007. She said "I want him to be upset. That was my point".
8) Ed Sheeran: Don't
This song was about Ellie Goulding and how she hooked up with Niall Horan whilst staying in the same hotel as him, ouch. Ed spoke about the song to Entertainment Weekly "I had to be as honest as possible in that song because otherwise what's the f*cking point? There'd be no anger or pain in that song if it was just very sweet and nice".
9) Eamon: F*ck You Right Back
This was the original shady breakup song, his ex even responded with her own song. LOL.
