Everyone who attended the first 4 days of AIFW was waiting with bated breath for the grande finale of the show, and it did NOT disappoint.
The theme for the finale was “India Modern”, and featured 9 top designers with their best designs which showcased their Indian roots while still maintaining an air of modernness.
Rajesh Pratap Singh
This designer’s colours of choice were gold and midnight blue - a gorgeous mix of Indian and western. Plus, SO many bonus points for those awesome metallic brogues.
Pero’s designs were our dose of shimmer for the evening! We loved the combo of dark fabrics and super-reflective sequins.
This designer’s outfits were a comfortable fusion of the traditional ghagra-choli style and the more western maxi skirt-and-crop top style. And we adore the fact that he paired everything with one of our fav closet staples: white sneakers.
Abraham & Thakore
Ghagras coupled with hooded cholis went perfectly with the theme of the finale! The flared tops and sleek top knots added another dose of glamour.
His colour of choice was a gorgeous, neutral, beige, with loads of intricate embroidery in the top half of the design. Love!
Flaming red fabrics coupled with neutrals, and tight top knots - this was Anju Modi’s aesthetic. What’s not to love?
Pankaj & Nidhi
Bright, fuchsia pink A-line skirts, maxi skirts, and long coats. Yum!

Rohit & Rahul
Their designs featured a pop of colour, coupled with dark, metallic sequins. The perfect balance between colourful and grunge-y!
