We at the Shopcade HQ love a good throwback and are huge Bollywood buffs, so we figured why not combine the two and write something everyone would relate to?
The 2000s had some truly unique and iconic Bollywood fashion trends that we are all guilty of having sported, amirite? Don't lie, we know it all!
So here are our favourite 2000s fashion trends from Bollywood movies.
Shararas (Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai)
This movie brought us some quintessentially 2000s trends, like the skinny scarf dupatta, flared pants used as salwars, and of course the infamous sharara from the Shamita Shetty song "Sharara Sharara".
Patiala salwar + tee (Jab We Met)
Kareena Kapoor's Geet is probably one of the most popular Bollywood characters in history, and with good reason! The effervescent Punjabi kudi is well known for popularising the combination of the patiala salwar with a long t-shirt.
Sexy bodysuit + miniskirt (Dhoom 2)
Aishwarya Rai in Dhoom 2 was not only adorably naive, but also super sexy in the cutout bodysuits she rocked with miniskirts. So hot!
