Leaping into a hot shower of a morning is invigorating refreshing warming all sorts of things. What you don't want it to be is freezing. Now of course you could just use your hand to test the temperature of the water - but where's the fun in that? This shower light incorporates a temperature sensitive light source so not only can you shower in streams of light but the light changes according to the temperature of the water. If the water is cold then the light will glow blue and if the water is 32°C then it will glow red.
Dumper Truck Racing
Strood, Kent; Cullompton, Devon; Wakefield, West Yorkshire;:: Test nerve and co-ordination by steering a dumper truck around a specially-designed course in this out of the ordinary driving day experience. After a safety briefing, drivers are introduced to this earth-moving truck for some training. The dumper is a hefty four wheel drive, go anywhere vehicle, weighing in at over a tonne. Despite its weight, drivers are sure to be surprised just how agile and nippy this huge vehicle is. Race the dumper around a pre-determined course, aiming to beat the other drivers and avoid penalties. Then the fastest drivers go head-to-head in the final! Roll up your sleeves and beat the opposition on this unique driving day. Availability: Runs approximately one Saturday evening a month between March and September, but days may vary throughout the year. Weather: Racing may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice or heavy rain, when driving might become dangerous. Call the venue if in any doubt. Duration: Lasts for around two and a half hours. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time for a welcome address. Numbers On Day: A maximum of 28 people take part. Everyone competes in two heats racing against the clock. Spectators: You are free to bring as many guests to spectate as you like - no charge! Undercover seating is available if it's raining, but they'll only be able to watch all the action from outside. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Dress Code: Dress warmly and wear flat shoes, or boots if it's wet day. The event is held on tarmac or rough terrain so please be prepared that if it's been raining you may get a bit muddy.
