This experience includes two show tickets, a bottle of champagne and a CD at a symphony orchestra concert. At the concert, experience an aural spectacle full of superb popular classics and a perfect climax with a dramatic grand firework finale. Location: York, North Yorkshire; Availability: The concert takes place on Saturday 18 August 2012. You need to book at least three weeks in advance, so that we can send your tickets out to you in good time. Please contact us if you have not received them within 14 days of the event. Weather: The concert is an open-air event so do come prepared; it may be a warm day but once the sun sets, evenings tend to get considerably cooler. Don't forget to bring an umbrella in case! Cancellation will only occur in extreme weather conditions. Duration: Generally gates open between 5 and 6pm for the concert to start around 7.30 - 8pm and end at 10.30pm. Timings are subject to change. Numbers On Day: Anywhere between 6,000 and 12,000 people can be expected. Spectators: Dress Code: Concert takes place in parkland and in darkness so please dress for the weather, wear appropriate footwear and bring a torch. Some people enjoy dressing for the occasion in black tie. Guidelines: Once in the grounds please make your way to the concert shop to collect your champagne and souvenir CD. Restrictions: A child under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18 or over). Guide dogs are welcome. Other Info: Barbecues, garden flares and pets are not permitted. There is no seating so please bring rugs or garden chairs, as well as glasses and a corkscrew for your wine. Most people bring a picnic although public catering is available on site.
