Hatton Garden, London:: This is a fun filled, creative class where a beautiful cocktail ring is produced by the end. Throughout the evening an expert tutor guides the class through the full process of making a ring from scratch. Use a mixture of crystals, beads, pearls and semi-precious stones combined with silver or gold wire to make a 'blinging' statement ring. All materials are included as well as plenty of tea coffee and luxury biscuits. The classes are all run by expert tutors with years of professional experience who are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Availability: Available weekday evenings between 6.30pm and pm, subject to availability. Weather: Duration: Lasts for two and a half hours. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a prompt start. Numbers On Day: The design team run the workshop, with up to ten participants. Design and Make a Gemstone Necklace
Weston Turville, Buckinghamshire:: Arrive at this workshop with no jewellery experience and yet a few hours later, take home a unique gemstone necklace. Be welcomed with some refreshments and get settled when you arrive before the qualified tutor gives an overview of the whole experience and shows everybody some sample necklaces, so you all have more of an idea what to do. You will learn which pliers are needed for the task, the different types of beading that can be utilised, along with skills like tension and crimping, as well as how to attach the clasp. Leave wearing a unique piece of jewellery that you can treasure. Availability: One date per month throughout the year. Weather: Duration: The experience starts at 10am and lasts for four hours, but expect to be there around five hours (including a one hour lunch break). Numbers On Day: A maximum of 4 budding jewellery designers take part, guided by a tutor throughout. Spectators: The workshop is exclusively for paying participants. Dress Code: Health and safety guidelines dictate that all participants must have fully covered footwear, so no sandals please. Guidelines: Restrictions: Minimum age is 12. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No jewellery-making experience is necessary. Other Info: Lunch is not included but the class does break for an hour midway through. You can either bring your own or head to one of the local coffee shops, sandwich bars or pubs for lunch.
