An arts and crafts classic - James Millar, Head of Design EDITOR'S NOTES This small silk square scarf is beautifully decorated in Lodden Liberty print, a design from 1884 credited to William Morris. When Morris & Co. closed down in 1939/40, the printers Stead McAlpine bought the original blocks, and Arthur Steward Liberty arranged for permission for a number of Morris designs to be used for Liberty. Here the original design has been transformed for a scarf, complete with decorative border.
