It’s been 20 years since Princess Diana's death yet her undisputed elegance and inimitable sense of style still wow the world. Her iconic collection of garments includes Victor Edelstein's unforgettable pink velvet gown, famously worn at the White House when the Princess danced with John Travolta, and that striking wedding dress that will forever go down in history.

The truly fascinating thing about the Princess' style is that even today you'll find it to be quite relevant. Sure, we may have said goodbye to shoulder pads but mom jeans, polka dot dresses and baseball jackets are very much on trend and are all elements that defined her classic sense of style.

Check our list of her most iconic looks in the gallery and scroll below to recreate her style for yourself…

This is without a doubt my favourite Coachella Street Style look of all the ones I've seen - and there are A LOT. Coachella ootds are all over Instagram but this one has to be the best. I just love how amazingly curated this looks. The double denim for starters is just great. The aspect that stands out the most has to be the crocheted shorts that perfectly coordinate with the fringing on the jacket. I mean, just wow - what a Coachella look. Image: Getty Images

Happy International Women’s Day! Today we celebrate women’s achievements while calling on gender equality. However, this International Women's Day is especially significant, coming on the heels of unprecedented movement for women’s rights, equality and justice.

From the rise of #MeToo movement to the #TimesUp campaign against sexual harassment following the scandals in Hollywood, the need for change is omnipresent. In January, the second annual women’s march took large cities across the globe by storm, while in the UK specifically, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the British women’s right to vote.

The theme for International Women’s Day 2018 is #PressForProgress. The day is meant to bring together global governments, women's organisations, businesses and charities together and will be marked with talks, performances, rallies, networking events and marches.

Key events include the annual Women of the World (WOW) Festival at the Southbank centre while Penguin Publishing will launch a pop-up bookstore featuring solely female authors. The Like a Woman Bookshop will be open from 5-9 March, with categories like ‘Essential feminist reads’, ‘Inspiring young readers’, ‘Women to watch’ and ‘Changemakers’.

So this International Women's Day pick up your favourite feminist read, sport a powerful slogan tee, indulge in a day of pampering and remember to support and empower women. Not just today but every day of the year! Throw on some Beyonce while you're at it, too.

Wow. We’re going to start by analysing Lawrence’s look at a photocall for her new thriller ‘Red Sparrow’ earlier this week objectively before we weigh in on the sexist row it provoked. Because we haven’t seen such a figure-flaunting, spotlight-stealing LBD since Liz Hurley’s vintage Versace safety pin dress in 1994; a point that’s been widely made by #10;http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5412753/Jennifer-Lawrence-steals-style-Elizabeth-Hurley.html">fashion commentators. And even though the Oscar winner’s dress is also by Versace doesn’t have the same punkish hardware, talk about bootylicious! Lawrence defines her hourglass figure and shows off all of her assets at once thanks to plunging neckline and thigh high slit confidently and shamelessly. Kudos to her for that. Accompanied by smoky eyes, a single gold bracelet, single strap heels and unexpectedly windswept hair, she looks amazing.

The look is problematic for some, however, because Lawrence’s showing an awful lot of skin for a windy winter’s day and her male co-stars were well-wrapped up in comparison. To them, the situation seems to reinforce sexist stereotypes the #TimesUp movement is trying to dispel, despite the dress being black. New Statesman’s deputy editor Helen Lewis tweeted “This is such a quietly depressing (and revealing) image… True equality mean either Jennifer Lawrence getting a coat, or Jeremy Irons having to pose for a photocell in assless chaps” which subsequently went viral. But Lawrence herself gave the best clapback in a lengthy Facebook statement where she asserted her right to wear whatever she wants. “This is not only utterly ridiculous, I am extremely offended. That Versace dress was fabulous, you think I'm going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf?” Touché. A woman after our own hearts. We’re loving Lawrence’s body confidence at the moment as this outfit follows the incredible plunging metallic gown she wore at the London premiere.

We’ve come to the conclusion that hair slides are seriously underrated as an accessory. Used to clip back a pesky fringe or to decorate an otherwise ordinary hairstyle, Alexa Chung and cult film character Margot Tenenbaum are the poster girls for this off-beat look. The witty words Ashley Williams' have spelled out in crystals have made great streetstyle fodder in recent seasons and it’s now Simone Rocha’s pearls styles that are nestling on the heads of some of the world’s best dressed women. Besides Chung, who’s been spotted out and about at London Fashion Week wearing more than one at once; presenter Laura Jackson is a big fan and wore a pair for her wedding. Pandora Sykes has snapped herself wearing one on Instagram and we’ve noted that what they all have in common is a penchant for jaunty lobs (long bobs). But Solange’s ’A Seat at the Table’ album artwork proved that hair slides will wow in hair of a longer length depending on the arrangement.

Now that it’s getting warmer, we’d suggest swapping your woolly hat for a eye-catching hair slide. No other jewellery is needed and you can give your ears a rest from heavy statement earrings and build your look around it. Start with one: the more you add, the more attention and compliments you’ll attract. Wire kirby grips are the answer if you’d like to take an ultra minimalist approach- hide tonal ones in your hair and be a little bolder with metallic or bright colours. The fact that they are comparatively cheaper than other accessories is a big bonus and, as size does matter, make sure your hair can hold the slide in place. A spritz of hair spray will help if needed.

The countdown to Valentine’s Day is on so whether you want to reveal your feelings to your crush, spoil your partner-in-crime, or make things more permanent with an unforgettable proposal, Jewel Street should be your first port of call. You won’t find any generic designs, only exceptional, one-of-a-kind pieces hand-picked from over 600 independent brands worldwide. From classic diamonds to contemporary metal, stunning settings to meaningful words, rose gold to silver, you’re bound to find a ring, pair of earrings, necklace or bracelet the person you have in mind will love. Heart embellishments are anything but cliche and boring here and better yet, you’ll spring to mind whenever they wear it. Forget flowers and/or chocolate- no matter how expensive or hard-to-source, they are ultimately temporary tokens that die or get eaten whereas a special piece of jewellery lasts forever.

It’s best to start small and manage expectations if this is a newish relationship or you’re hoping your gift will lead to one. You can save, spend or splurge and we’d recommend a vintage-looking bracelet or an on-trend pair of earrings- say chandeliers or hoops- that reflects their taste so they’ll show their piece off at every opportunity. Colour is very important too as they’re unlikely to wear silver if all their other jewellery is yellow gold. The more time you’ve been with your partner, the more they deserve to be spoiled don’t you think? A decorative necklace will more than fit the bill, especially if it’s bold but understated enough to wear everyday and never take off.

If you’re going to propose, make sure you’ve done the groundwork by sizing up their ring finger, speaking to their friends, and asking their father if you’re being traditional about it. There’s a wow-factor selection of engagement rings with stones of various sides and shades, along with promise rings if you’re not ready or simply want to reaffirm your love. And for goodness sake: keep the actual ‘Will you marry me’ simple; don’t risk losing or damaging the ring by slipping it into a dessert or champagne glass for effect. It’s not unheard of to have two rings when you do it either, the additional one can be smaller but no less stunning for knocking about.

New year, new jeans? Definitely when you have London’s premium denim specialist Trilogy at your disposal. The boutique’s wardrobe-saving mission since opening in 2006 has been to find every woman their perfect pair of jeans with a handpicked brand edit of luxury essentials and expert knowledge. What used to be a hideous shopping experience is now a happy one because the hottest denim styles and complementary pieces to style them with can be found at a uniquely dedicated place. Vogue voted Trilogy as one of the ‘Best Boutiques in Britain’ four years running, so you’ll be able to transition into the new season effortlessly with easy wardrobe updates that both nod to and transcend the trends.

Whether you’re a wide leg jeans kind of women, all about high rise jeans that streamline curves, or you prefer cropped jeans to show your shoes off as well, Trilogy’s got you covered. It’s worth noting, though, that straight jeans are currently in the spotlight as Spring 18’s key silhouette and you’ll discover unbeatable pairs in new blue denim washes and bright white from J Brand Jeans, AG Jeans and fashion editor favourite Paige. Team them with ankle boots, mules and sneakers depending on the weather.

Perfect jeans need spring coats of the same standard to match, say a trench coat or a blazer and you can really cement your style status with Harris Wharf London’s boxy coat. Now don’t let the ‘boxy’ description put you off, vibrant fresh shades like flamingo and mint give the cut, and therefore any outfit you wear it with, the wow factor. And with Spring’s soft tailoring trend in mind, Trilogy have partnered with Helene Berman to create exclusive versions of the best-selling Alice and Ava styles and a swing mac in versatile navy and stone that are unavailable elsewhere.

Directly underneath to complete your winning looks, there’s are plenty of cosy cashmere knits and button-down blouses to play with. Go classic with Vince and Duffy or make a statement with Jumper 1234, Madeleine Thompson and more. Whatever suits your mood and the occasion.

Kudos to Kylie Jenner for one-upping the Super Bowl by announcing the birth of her daughter. The youngest member of the reality TV clan released a youtube video tribute to her newborn on Sunday revealing previously unseen footage of her pregnancy, intimate moments with her family and the birth. What struck us was how Jenner stayed true to her style even as her body changed- sticking to mostly oversized t-shirts and sweats that comfortably hid the bump while she was keeping the news under wraps. But when she wanted to show it off among her friends and family: it was body-con dresses all the way- mini, maxi whatever. Now as Jenner is just 20, you may think that her age played a role in her decision not to adopt traditional maternity wear and keep an eye on the trends, but other pregnant women with enviable wardrobes have done the same. (Side note: did you see her daughter’s wardrobe? North West’s got serious competition as Kris Jenner’s best dressed granddaughter).

We did a double take when we saw the Duchess of Cambridge in that head-turning Erdem gown during her royal visit to Sweden. Wow. Yellow, florals, ruffled detail, that’s at least three enduring trends tick tick ticked. She looked stunning and arguably the best we’ve seen her look since she entered the spotlight as William’s girlfriend. The dress skimmed delightfully over her neat bump without making her look bulky, proving that more fitted silhouettes aren’t out of the question for eveningwear if they fit properly. Get a tailor if needed. In fact the whole trip threw up some great looks- the red and white houndstooth coat (similar to Princess Diana’s) and another floral Erdem dress- in blue velvet the second time.

But what about if you’re more tomboyish or you have your own distinctive look? Enter streetstyle star Veronika Heilbrunner who announced her pregnancy last month and hasn’t changed her style one jot. She still showing off her endless legs (in tights as it’s winter), wearing mini or clingy dresses with chunky boots and bold bags. The only discerning change is maybe she’s wearing less trousers than usual but time will tell and she’s got months and fashion weeks of pregnancy to go. It will be interesting to see how and if her sartorial taste changes. Katherine Ormerod is another fashionable women lauded for her outfits. In her own words and judging by her instagram feed, she’s actually kept on wearing her pre-pregnancy pieces with clever layering. It seems she was fond of oversized silhouettes anyway which have been able to accommodate her bump.

All in all, these four women demonstrate four different-but-successful approaches to pregnancy dressing. Pick your favourite and shop their looks in our edits below.

Right now, I'm not a fan of Instagram makeup. But I really like this look by @beetotheo and the colours selection that she uses for her eye makeup. Who could be thought that purple and pink would look this good together? The silver eyeliner to cut the crease and the fuschia wing are definitely the extra wow factor in this makeup. Such a fun and creative match. Photo Credit: @beetotheo on twitter #makeup #beauty #look #instagood.

Couture Fashion Week is surely a ‘wow’ moment of fashion. Besides Valentino’s elegant and sophisticated gowns, something stood out! The bold coloured feather hats. Green, blue, pink, red and lavender… Feather hats were an unmissable vision. Perfect when you don’t want to see anyone you know, these hats are a dream come true. Although we might not be able to wear them in real life, just imagine how wonderful it would be to wear these hats on a bad-hair-day or a day where you just can’t bother! #hats #valentino #feathers #couture #paris #fashionweek

Any trend that doesn’t really require ironing gets an extra thumbs up from us. Enter ruching (ruche), defined by Oxford Dictionary as a decorative frill or pleat of fabric, which sometimes has a drawstring attached so you can control and adapt it. You’ll remember the horizontal pleats (creases?) and fabric gatherings that took centre stage on the most memorable dresses in Pretty Women and your favourite ‘80s films. And for good reason because they showed off the wearer’s figure to mouth-opening effect, creating covetable curves. Ruching is one of Dolce & Gabbana’s bombshell signatures, while Kim Kardashian-West wore a sheer ruched minidress to the 2016 VMAs which spawned countless copycats. Balenciaga’s Creative Director Demna Gvasalia has given the technique a revamp, and most importably for our wardrobes, real daytime appeal by using it in his recent collections.

We’re most taken with ruched dresses, rather than tops, because they are winning one-and-done outfits. They’ll help you flaunt the fabulous figure you’ve been honing at the gym in a more notable, fashion-y way than a basic body-con dress. Whether the decorative detail is confined to the bust, employed to whittle your waist like an infinitely more comfortable corset, or all over: modern styles come in all lengths, shapes and colours with barely a whiff of the ‘80s. You can cover up or go sheer (visible underwear is another key micro trend, by the way, that Bella Hadid is owning) and the silhouette created will wow. Perfect, then, for any Valentine’s day dates you'll have coming up; during the day or after dark.
