We're offered a wide range of cutting-edge workouts that come with their specific set of challenges, from the trampoline to soul cycle, hot yoga and Zumba; each fitness class requires high-performance gear that ticks all the boxes. Providing the right accoutrement for each workout can have a significant impact to our experience from a sartorial and practical perspective. Scroll down below and equip yourself only with the right stuff. 


SOUL CYCLE 

When it comes to a physically demanding class like soul cycle it’s important to opt for breathable separates. For example a quality sports bra paired with matching leggings can relieve some of the burden of excessive sweating. For socks, try sweat absorbing material which will motivate you to finish the class minus any unwelcome distractions. After the workout, wear a hoodie to allow the muscles to cool down gradually. 

MARATHON GIRL 

More than any other athletic leisure activity, running requires some deal of wardrobe preparation. As with any other outdoor workout you need to equip with an all-weather zip up that you can don over your tank top. Try a technical long-sleeve top that can easily be removed during cool down. For leggings, choose a pair with compression past the ankles for a speed run or a longer marathon. 

HOT YOGA 

In a class like hot yoga you know you’re going to sweat a ton so it’s important to wear breathable clothing like soul cycle but also loose enough that will allow you to strengthen, and unwind. Start with a tank and leggings and throw on a loose t-shirt on top that you can take off when it starts to get too hot for comfort. 

DANCE CLASS

Whether it’s Zumba, Barrecore or a fun hip-hop infused class weight-shifting movements that put the core to work demand a particular set of clothing. For example a leotard with built-in support and the sense of freedom to move as you please. For bottoms a pair of leggings, ballerina tights and sweats will do the trick. Remember to dance barefoot, with rubber soled socks or trainers to avoid slippery floors.

As we welcome 2018, we tend to make plans about the goals we want to achieve in the new year. It's time to be more organised, more productive and less burnout. Which is why we have compiled a list of the best productivity hacks you can employ straight away. 


Get on the App Game 

If you want a quick productivity boost you can start by downloading a few apps. From todoist, calendly, and task rabbit you can track habits, make notes, set up reminders and track your progress!

Follow the 10 x 5 *2 Rule 

This is not a complicated Mathematical formula you need to solve. The (10+2)*5 simply means 10 minutes work + 2 minutes break multiplied by 5, completing 1 hour. Set a timetable Purchase a notebook and start making a strict schedule not allowing time for social media, turn off all email notifications and set time for a break too. 

Do a ten-minute workout 

Try an easy short workout in the morning. Exercise releases "endorphin" a happy hormone that can make you feel more relaxed and prone to focus.

A new year doesn't necessarily have to mean a new you - but a better you. We all make these very ambitious resolutions near December 31st that we rarely keep past the first few weeks of January, so this year we suggest taking time to make realistic projections, for a better edition of you! Before you sign up for every single workout class close to your apartment or office why not prioritise the workouts that actually make you happy and that you're more likely to follow all year long? From a zumba class, to ballet and barrecore, HIIT training or Hot Yoga, there's definitely a class for you. 


Moving from office to the gym and bag means that you have to do it in style. And though a tiny bag might be appealing (thank you Kendall Jenner!) might not be practical for you. If you have a locker at the gym feel free to sport a fanny pack or tiny bag. It will actually save you the trouble of carrying your bag from the office or at least you can sport it to after gym drinks with ease. During the cold chilly months of Winter it can be hard to find the motivation to go for a jog or make a trip to the gym. But think how easy it could be to do a simple workout at home! It saves a trip in the freezing outdoors and you can keep warm in the comfort of your own space. Start by creating that extra bit of space within your home where you can do your workout. I tend to think the living room or your bedroom is the best place, given that you have enough room to move around. Next, you want to create a schedule whereby you set aside a bit of time during the day to complete your workout. This could be anything from ten minutes, half hour or even an hour. It all depends on how much extra time you have and how much time you want to spend exercising. Additionally, you can do a longer workout on one day of the week and a shorter workout on a day that you are much busier on. The type of workout you want to complete it totally up to you. Personally, I stick to some simple stretches, lunges and squats. However, you can do a more energetic workout or even a peaceful yoga session if that is more your style. Now here are a motivation tips to get you going! 1. Get a workout buddy! The best way to complete a workout is to have someone else doing it with you. This means that instead of giving up or not bothering you will be encouraging each other. 2. Buy some new exercise kit If you buy some new fitness essentials you are more likely to want to try them out and do a bit of exercise. So treat yourself to some snazzy gym gear and get into that workout mood! 3. Listen to when your body needs a workout Undoubtedly, doing a bit of exercise every day does wonders for out bodies and our health, so it is best to try and work out when your body needs that extra boost. Often we will tell ourselves that we are too tired or we will put it off until another day, but if we realise when our bodies need some exercise we are more likely to get into a steady routine. To sum up, don't worry about the shorter days and the darker evenings, it's all about maintaining the same motivation about exercise as we would in the Summer!

It's a funny feeling when our wardrobes start getting that touch of transition from summer to autumn. The colours change but still can be complementary to our sun-kissed skin. The sleeves get longer the fabrics get heavier but they can still be juxtaposed by the summery nonchalance of jeans or a pair of smart white trousers. Very few people enjoy the start of Fall and they should be multiplied. It's a time to give your body a break, move into comfier silhouettes after all the pre-holiday workout routines, the endless parties and the often exposed stomach that doesn't really allow for that second round of pasta. 


Doing comfy slouchy but still active with style takes a certain mastery in the field. So for AW17 we are lusting over the new SUPERDRY campaign that combines all of the above. Uber cool, sleek style loose silhouettes and an air of laissez-faire that is still encrypted in our psyche from our summer holidays. We're crushing over anything and everything utility which means great sturdy material for those first Autumn rain falls but also khaki is one of the most complimentary shades for tanned skin.
