Emma Stone is back in this year's anticipated film: Battle of The Sexes. Based on a true story and set in 1972, the movie highlights the topical gender pay gap, at a time when the United States Lawn Tennis Association had announced a new prize fund offering eight times less for women.

In the film, 29-year-old King is tired of the gender inequality in a sport where women were so shockingly deemed inferior as a means to justify the wage gap. This fuels her ambition to launch the Women's Tennis Association in order to provide an equal working space for women. This irritates most male players including ex-pro Bobby Riggs, played by Steve Carell, who challenges her to the most proficient test: a match or battle of the sexes which in his mind will prove that women are in fact inferior and thus deserve a lesser pay.

Apart from the women's issues and serious Oscar buzz, the film is filled with exquisite 70s fashion moments! Emma wears some amazing geek chic glasses throughout the film, with 70s flared jeans and a pink shirt. This week, the actress attended the premiere wearing a white Tom Ford dress with chain straps, white heels and a statement gold clutch bag. We've recreated a couple of Emma's looks below!

Battle of the Sexes will be released in the UK on 22 November.

Fashion week has arrived which means massive new trends on the catwalk for Spring/Summer 18  but also an array of sartorial aficionados giving us their take on the current style! We noticed already a lot of vinyl (red skirts, trench coats, boots and berets), 90's references, chic sling backs, romantic dresses juxtaposed with leather details, booties or knee length boots and many and we mean a lot of logo t-shirts. The colour palette was leaning towards pinks, bright red, mustard yellow, and black.

Apart from the usual celeb/ model off duty sightings including Kaia Gerber, Hayley Baldwin the Hadid sisters and Kendall Jenner, our attention was focused on emerging and established influencers with an enviable sense of style. Take Marta Lozano Pascual for example who did the perfect mix and match by pairing her Mango red vinyl skirt, red thigh high boots and tee ensemble with a classic Chanel Bag. We also saw an appetite for vinyl on model Caroline Daur who paired a black vinyl skirt with a red jumper and uber cool white booties (all Rebecca Minkoff). Finally Anabelle Fleur from Viva Luxury blog in an ethereal Victorian white floor-length dress in contradiction with leather accessories such as a thick black leather belt, leather beret, white leather bag and white kitten heels.

There's definitely something about the Victorian allure of the corset. You may even associate it with the art of burlesque or those body-con slim waist garments that the Kardashian/ Jenner clan made popular on social media. Whatever the case, this tiny piece of fabric which is both vintage and modern and gives definition to the sloppiest outfits, is one of the strongest trends of the season.

Actually, many notable style setters were already in on the secret last season by cinching their jackets, dresses and shirts with corsets. In SS17 designers took notice and emphasized the waist during the collections by placing impressive corsets over dresses and t-shirts.

Take Isabel Marant for example, who took a relatively casual double denim look and elevated it by adding a white corset belt. In another look, the designer opted for a colourful corset belt to add a pop of colour to a monochrome look. Over at Balenciaga Demna Gvasalia showed uber bold and over the top shoulders juxtaposed to cinched waists. You can easily incorporate this look by adding a corset belt to a blazer or suit. While Loewe showcased one of the best sellers adopted by many editors and influencers.

How can you style it? Add definition and colour to a simple white tee by adding a cool corset over it. Try wearing a corset belt over a coat or trench to give it structure. Pair a monochrome corset over a dress for a casual day out or go for a corset sewn on a T-shirt and wear it over your jeans. Turn a blazer into a dress by adding a corset over it and you have the perfect going out look! Want the look for less?

Yes, even though we try to avoid it we're officially in September. Less sunlight, chilly mornings and chillier afternoons scream for a slight change in wardrobe and potentially a few more cosy nights in. These changes include footwear, and if flip flops were the go-to shoe of choice for summer, this season it's all about the ankle boot and its many variations: Flat, heeled, leather and suede, print or plain.

FLAT

The flat ankle boot is probably the easiest way to be comfy chic. If you don't believe me just ask a few flat ankle aficionados like Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller. Follow in their footsteps and team them with midi skirts, long floral trousers or leggings.

HEELED

The autumn/winter essentials are definitely a pair of impressive, leather heeled ankle boots. They are offered in a great variety of punky buckle boots, suede Western styles, vintage lace up booties, riding styles in metallics bright bold colours like red and purple but also look out for plain black, grey, brown or white.

Transitional weather periods require transitional wardrobe. And one of the transitional weather absolute favourite staples is the trench coat. From royal, Kate Middleton to reality star Kim Kardashian West and blogger/ journalist Pandora Sykes (you are seeing the expansion of the fashion spectrum here, right?) are opting for multiple variations of the trench coat. Whether you choose the Bottega Veneta one that Lauren Bacall wore in the SS17 show or the uber trendy winter floral print at Michael Kors, this piece is bound to add more than a few points of elegance to your look.

There's great variety in form but most importantly in the fabric. High gloss details or full on shiny leather trenches. Tightly cinched or left in a looser silhouette. One of the most spot on colours for trench coats this season is khaki, but get ready for some impressive numbers in red, off-white, camel and baby blue.

Almost 20 years since Princess Diana's death her undisputed elegance and inimitable sense of style still wow the world. In fact, Kensington Palace has dedicated an exhibition entitled 'Diana: Her Fashion Story', featuring some of her most iconic looks. This extraordinary collection of garments includes Victor Edelstein's unforgettable pink velvet gown, famously worn at the White House when the Princess danced with John Travolta.

The truly fascinating thing about the Princess' style is that even today you'll find it to be quite relevant. Sure, we may have said goodbye to the ginormous shoulder pads of the 80's but mom jeans, polka dot dresses and baseball jackets are very much on trend and are all elements that defined her classic sense of style.

It's a funny feeling when our wardrobes start getting that touch of transition from summer to autumn. The colours change but still can be complementary to our sun-kissed skin. The sleeves get longer the fabrics get heavier but they can still be juxtaposed by the summery nonchalance of jeans or a pair of smart white trousers. Very few people enjoy the start of Fall and they should be multiplied. It's a time to give your body a break, move into comfier silhouettes after all the pre-holiday workout routines, the endless parties and the often exposed stomach that doesn't really allow for that second round of pasta.

Doing comfy slouchy but still active with style takes a certain mastery in the field. So for AW17 we are lusting over the new SUPERDRY campaign that combines all of the above. Uber cool, sleek style loose silhouettes and an air of laissez-faire that is still encrypted in our psyche from our summer holidays. We're crushing over anything and everything utility which means great sturdy material for those first Autumn rain falls but also khaki is one of the most complimentary shades for tanned skin. And who doesn't want to show off their tan for just a tad longer?

Opt for this great light jacket for starters and invest in a khaki parka for the winter ahead. Go for a supermini yet comfy LBD and an uber cool pink backpack for all your back to work activities.

For men, we adored the loungy hoodies, but also the long-sleeve t-shirts are perfect for an afternoon run or basket with the guys. Don't forget to pack all your essentials in the very cool and practical foldover backpack. For a casual night out the bomber jacket is a great transitional weather option that will keep you warm and stylish. As for shoes, you may want to trade your summer mocassins or sneakers for a pair of Stirling sleek boots at least to keep your feet dry. Superdry.
