Who said you can’t wear sunglasses in Autumn/Winter? No one! Because one of the new season’s trends include coloured lenses. You can see life through blue tinted glasses or pink tinted glasses. Buy all colours and match them with your outfit! #sunglasses #trend #autumn #winter #streetstyle #fashion

Time to find a new pair of sunnies? You’ve got a tricky decision on your hands. Do you invest in a luxe pair from a high-end brand and feel like a total rockstar or do you opt for a cheaper designer dupe and still feel like a rockstar – albeit a pretend one?

We put a range of designer and designer dupe sunglasses to the test to discover whether investing in luxury labels is really worth it when it comes to eyewear…

Our findings were pretty conclusive – if you want a pair of sunnies to protect your eyes and still look good after two weeks of wear, it’s designer or nothing. Most cheap dupes just don’t provide the UV protection you need despite looking good so when it comes to sunglasses, be prepared to splash the cash if you want the best.

Luckily, our friends at Rent the Runway came up with a clever solution if you happen to be on a budget. Got a big event coming up or a vacation in the sunshine? You can rent a pair of luxe high-end shades for a tiny fraction of the cost of a brand new pair.

Renting designer pieces is a huge trend these days as it’s both sustainable and financially savvy. So, if you can’t justify spending on those Gucci frames yet, just rent them for as long as you’ll need them. We promise not to tell…

Browse our edit of the best designer sunglasses to rent below…

Matrix vibes going on here! Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, Beyonce… Should I go on? I think you get the picture. Skinny sunglasses are the it-sunglasses of the season. Maybe they don’t fully cover the purpose of sunglasses but they sure look trendy! #trend #fashion #streetstyle #models #celebs #sunglasses #style

It’s hard to find the look for a trip to the desert. Go for comfy shoes and don’t forget sunglasses. Feel free to add some style with crop tops and belts. Cotton skirt will be the right match too. #look #desert

I don’t know why but everything retro is a trend for this season! Vintage trends are re-emerging in fashion and I can’t get enough of it! I’m a nineties gal but I love everything before it! If you’re in the market to buy new sunglasses, then definitely go for the retro styles. Either channel your inner Matrix gal or Audrey Hepburn… Cat-eye or skinny sunglasses, retro is the answer for this season. #retro #vintage #sunglasses #style #fashion #streetstyle #trend

Whether you're hitting the beach in an exotic location or just stopping by your local pool, looking your best is a must. So throw out the dad shorts, do away with those ill-fitting speedos and try these cool, casual swimwear trends for summer…

Tropical times

You can never go wrong with a tropical print but opting for the right style is essential with this trend. Opt for boxy styles that sit higher on the leg – too much excess fabric when paired with a print is never a good look. Go for blue and green shades to emphasize your tan and finish your look with a pair of mirrored sunglasses.

Riviera rules

Opt for a classic look with a pair of block-color swim shorts with subtle logo detailing at the leg or a contrasting drawcord. Pair them with a white polo-shirt, fedora hat and simple Ray Bans for an effortlessly cool Gallic-inspired vacation look.

‘80s statement

Infuse your summer swimwear line-up with a cool old-school aesthetic is by sporting stripes. Invest in a colourful design with a vertical stripe and add pared-down round sunnies for a vintage-inspired finish.

Playful print

Now’s your time to shine – whether you opt for a pineapple print, on-trend lobsters or a simple graphic design, a stylish print has the power to elevate your look to new heights. Opt for repeat patterns in modern silhouettes and avoid anything too long or loose – the secret to pulling off a print is tailoring. Pair with a neutral tee and you’re good to go. Now, which way to the beach?

This is a very cool outfit from Kylie Jenner, really love the matching between the vinyl coat and the sunglasses.  The point of this photo it was supposed to be the launch of her new lipstick shade "Jordy" but again, fashion caught my eye first.  photo credit: @kyliejenner on twitter  #fashion #beauty #outfit #kyliecosmetics
