Now that spring has more or less sprung, we’re looking to get in on the biggest trends for SS18. Pieces inspired by nature are always a winning option at this time of year and we’ve spotted stylists and designers interpreting the trend in a big way. From animal prints to floral embroidery, petal tones to runways disguised as enchanted forests – as seen at Chanel – collections influenced by the natural world are everywhere.

JewelStreet is also celebrating the wild side of fashion with seasonal collections inspired by flora and fauna. JewelStreet is the home of more than 500 independent jewellery brands loved by style insiders and celebs. With indie labels hailing from fashion capitals all over the world, JewelStreet is the perfect place to seek a little new-season inspiration and discover luxe accessories.

Crafted by talented designers and artisans, JewelStreet’s Flora collection is a mix of delicate golden leaves and glittering statement flowers, as seen at Burberry.

Cool contemporary ear cuffs in polished gold sit alongside classic diamond necklaces and simple silver studs. JewelStreet’s Fauna collection is a cute homage to the animal kingdom, with butterflies and birds adorning statement necklaces and snakes, lizards and starfish – a la Versace – making sparkling appearances elsewhere.

With all the animal inspo seen on the runway for SS18, this eclectic collection is right on the money. Browse our Editors’ picks of the best necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings and try the wild jewellery trend for yourself…

Forget muted tones and sleek silhouettes, this spring designers are opting for maximalism, and the bolder and brighter the better. One of our favourite takes on the trend comes from Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz and luxury online retailer mytheresa.com. The pair have collaborated to create a statement nine-piece capsule collection sold exclusively at mytheresa.com

Known for contrasting vibrant, festive design with flattering and creative shapes, Johanna looked to the stylish city of Cartagena, Spain for the collection’s inspiration. ‘For me, Cartagena is visual poetry,’ says Johanna. ‘The essence of the place is a conductor of creative energy and inspiration. It is the hometown of magical realism.’

Oversized polka dots on silk, voluminous ruffles and striking tropical prints are the focus of this collection with thigh-high splits and deep V-neck styles adding extra flair. The collection includes maxi dresses, statement tops, swimsuits and kimonos - perfect for brightening up your wardrobe for SS18.

Whether you’re jetting off to warmer climes, getting festival-ready for Coachella this month or simply looking to maximise your new-season wardrobe, this exclusive collection inspired by sunny Spanish resorts is the one you’ve been waiting for.

The collection launches globally on mytheresa.com from April 11 2018.

The transition from winter into spring is always a tough one wardrobe-wise. Especially with the recent weather swinging between extremes. One of my favourite pieces to combat this is the jumpsuit. The perfect balance - a long leg but often sleeveless or short sleeves and lighter in material than denim. ASOS stocks so many options like this. They can be layered with a white tee underneath and a jacket over the top for cooler days, or simply worn like this. Image: Instagram @tashaggreen

Rainbow is the leitmotif of Spring 2018. We have previously seen it on the catwalk of Alberta Ferretti and we have loved it for its energetic and colorful power! Wouldn’t you wish to have a shower of colors right now? #rainbow

YouTuber Danielle Peazer is a fitness guru. However, she is showing us that she also has great everyday style with this outfit choice. This camouflage printed shirt is the perfect choice for Spring - the layered jewellery and shades help to create a strong boho vibe, which I adore 😍 #ootd #daniellepeazer #youtuberstyle Photo Credit: @DaniellePeazer on Twitter

Spring doesn’t have to mean floaty boho dresses and voluminous shapes. In fact, sleek tailoring is making a big comeback for the new season in fresh spring colours and prints. As seen on Kendall Jenner, floral suits are set to be on your workwear radar from now until winter.

Perfect for the office to drinks or for cool guest looks as wedding season approaches, floral suits put a spin on traditional tailoring. Think big, bold patterns from Dolce & Gabbana or chintzy florals in vintage-inspired shapes from the likes of MSGM.

Whatever the cut, be it skinny leg, wide-leg, with a cropped jacket or an oversized blazer, the trend – excuse the pun – suits everyone.

Lilac has officially become the color of this spring. I have seen it everywhere on the runways, and this outfit can show us why.  Being a soft and pastel color is perfect if you want to pair it with more strong color pieces like the purple prince skirt on this photo. A lilac dress with red devil heels could look as great as a lilac silk top with a leather pencil skirt, the fashion world is yours when it comes to this color.  photo credit: @whowhatwear on twitter  #fashion #outfit #spring #look

Whether you’re pro or anti yellow, there’s no denying the colour is everywhere this season. From Prada and Ganni to Balenciaga and Christopher Kane, the pop-bright tones of sunshine yellow, deep mustard, egg yolk and pale lemon dominated the runway for SS18.

Even Beyonce put her spin on the colour in her custom Balmain stage outfits at Coachella this month while celebs from Gal Godot to Emma Stone have been spotted rocking sunflower tones both on the red carpet and off duty.

We wouldn’t blame you for being hesitant to take the plunge into head-to-toe yellow – it’s an acquired taste after all – so our Editors have put together a round-up of the best pieces to help you nail the trend.

From cool yellow accessories to simple stripes and statement jumpsuits, these are the best ways to rock the yellow trend day or night, whatever your style.

This season the leopard print becomes more of a day-to-day piece of clothing than a statement piece necessarily. The days of wearing it with scepticism and frugality are long gone. This time it's more about wearing it as a black shirt, with any pattern any colour your imagination can fathom. And although there was a misconception that a leopard overload can become tacky the truth is only the quality of the leopard print item in question can determine the elegance of the outfit.

Leopard print has been associated with Christian Dior in the 50's to true rockstar glam in the 60's and later in the 70's and 80's with David Bowie and Debby Harry making it almost a segment of their trademark. The grunge days of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love gave it a 90's twist.

Nowadays, Leandra Medine of ManRepeller did an impressive double (but not identical) leopard print number, matching it with red strappy heels. Olivia Palermo clashes patterns of leopard print and check while Alexa Chung went for an animal print faux fur over a short party dress.

Street style has also been flooding with many variations of leopard print: from pochettes, to mules, jackets, shirts or leggings the animal print has proved itself as one of the most fun ways to be fashionable this season!

Have a look at our gallery for inspiration and keep scrolling for our edit of the key animal print items that you need to own this Spring...
