I love the stripes, and that's why I love that this season they come in all their shapes and colours. In t-shirts, dresses and skirts, the well-combined lines are fantastic to have a relaxed and chic look at the same time. Credits: Pinterest.

This season leopard print has become more day-to-day than statement. The days of wearing it with frugality are long gone. This year, maximalism reigns...

Leopard print has been associated with Christian Dior in the ‘50s rockstar glam in the ‘60s and a ‘70s and ‘80s staple with David Bowie and Debbie Harry making it an essential element of their trademark looks. In the ‘90s grunge Kurt Cobain Courtney Love and Kate Moss reinstated its killer style value. How to wear animal print? Take a few tips from the style aficionados and rock leopard print day or night.

Leandra Medine of Man Repeller goes for a double leopard-print number,  juxtaposed with red strappy heels. Olivia Palermo clashes leopard and check while Alexa Chung keeps it sweet by adding just a few leopard print accessories here and there; from a cross-body chain bag and sandals to a headband.

Street style has also gifted us many variations on the leopard trend: from pochettes to mules, jackets, shirts or leggings, animal print has proven itself as one of the most fun ways to be fashionable this season.

Look at the selection I made of these buttoned shirts. I love these shirts because they can be used in any way you want, whether closed, open, with a knot, backwards with an open back, inside the pants. Credits: Pinterest

The past season designers have been showing an act for the artisanal. Over the last year, runways were filled with crafty handiwork that came from peculiar embellishments: from quilting to crochet.

Jonathan Anderson knits dominated his Fall 2017 menswear show, while Jeremy Scott created bodycon dresses for his Resort collection. Other designers opted for crochet miniskirts and polo shirts during a Spring 2018 outing. We absolutely love the offbeat and experimental attitude of the material that allows for an array of mixing and matching options.

How to style crochet?

Pair a jumper with a leather biker jacket to emphasize the juxtaposition between the '60s silhouette dress and the edgy jacket. Add a fetish choker for effect or a knit-top handle bag and a pair of front-button track pants and sneakers.

Kick back in a crochet overlay with your monokini and a summer basket bag with slides for a comfy-chic beach look. Add some bamboo-inspired accessories with beads to fully immerse in this look.

Ready to rock crochet this summer?

Continuing with my spur of the moment ASOS spree with this ASOS midi skirt. I've been questioning over and over what to wear in this in between weather without forking out for a new wardrobe for this non-season. The perfect solution seems to be the midi skirt. We aren't quite ready for mini skirts and t shirts but the midi skirt is the perfect in between. The florals instantly suggest spring whilst the dark colours are in sync with the muted weather. So I went a little crazy tonight and have done two ASOS orders. That's okay on a Sunday right? This was spurred on by the fact that I have just booked a holiday for two weeks time and have very little to wear. I spotted this skirt recently and instantly fell in love. I like denim skirts but I love finding new takes on the classic blue denim mini skirt. This just does that. The colours are really fun without being difficult to coordinate with t shirts and jumpers. I cannot wait for this to arrive - could also do with the sun to come back out. Image: ASOS
