It's Official, a musical based on the hit '90s chick flick really is in the works! Here's what the director of Clueless, Amy Heckerling, had to say on the matter; "I've written the, what they call the book and it's a jukebox musical...the [casting] is going to be like the main problem."

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Heckerling said; "Katy Perry has expressed interest, and I love her to death." However, she also has a another star in mind if Katy weren't able to take part, adding "Maybe Iggy Azalea could do it!"

Although Clueless the musical won't be taking to the stage for quite some time, we couldn't help but wonder who we'd want cast as the show's female leads...

Cher: Her American accent doesn't suck and who better to work those bold, animated eyebrows whilst strutting around in plaid miniskirts squealing "UGH, AS IF!" than Cara Delevingne?

Dionne: Without a doubt, Zoe Kravitz's innate sass and distinct sense of style could teach the Dionne impersonators of yesteryear a thing or two.

Amber: Usually the nice girl in a teenage rom com, we'd like to see a more stylish version of Emma Stone's dark side as seen in Birdman...(without the substance abuse problem, obviously.)

Tai: She's been a scream queen, an acapella angel and in John John Tucker Must Die, a high school chick out for blood. We want Brittany Snow to gaze into Cher's eyes and coolly say; "You're a virgin who can't drive."

First dates are stressful. Especially blind first dates. Or internet/dating app first dates. What to wear, where to meet, what to order, whether to kiss or not. But these aren't the only things you should be worrying about- there are a lot of first date red flags that you should watch out for. Escaping out the bathroom window isn't just something that happens in rom-coms, sometimes it's something you may actually have to do.

Red Flags Pre-Date

1. He's "off the grid"

If someone tells you they don't have social media, or have really really private profiles, then hate to break it to you, but they're probably not single. Also it's just really f*cking rude to not have public social for your potential date and her friends to stalk. How else are we meant to find out everything about you before we even meet? I'm kidding (but not really).

2. He opens with a d*ck pic.

Pretty sure everyone knows this red flag, and wouldn't even respond let alone set up a date, but just incase, let me break it down. He's after one thing, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, not everyone dates to meet the love of their life, but pal at least be subtle.

3. He's SUPER keen.

Being keen/excited for your first date is lovely and cute, but being super keen isn't. If he's needy before you've even gone on a first date then that's a serious red flag. Run a mile. Or do the modern equivalent of blocking his number.

4. He flakes out a lot.

You've planned this upcoming first date three times now. He always has to "work late" or gets a "stomach bug". This may just be a coincidence, but it probably isn't. Maybe he's broke and doesn't want to admit he can't afford drinks, or maybe he's just a f*ck boy and hoping you'll send him a nude without ever meeting.

Red Flags During-Date

1. They forget your name.

If he's mixing up your name then it's probably because he's dating a number of other women. Or if he only calls you things like "hun", he ain't the one. It's one name to learn FFS.

2. Talks about his ex all night.

Bringing up an ex on a first day is a big no no, unless it's really vital to a funny anecdote then stay well clear of this. If he brings every conversation back to his ex then get out. He's not over her, and he's basically using you as a free therapist.

3. Brings up how much they earn.

He's either bragging or trying to get you to pay his half. Finance chat on a first date is way too heavy. It's basic social etiquette.

4. Orders for you.

This is not cute, it's creepy. On a first date there's no way someone knows what taste you have. Three years in it's a sweet gesture that shows how well they know you, three minuets in is controlling and weird. I wanted f*cking red wine not a vodka tonic.

5. Doesn't go halves.

This works both ways, if he absolutely won't let you pay your half it gets awkward, or if he assumes you're paying for all of it. Just go Dutch people!

If any of these happen, your best bet is to run a mile or at least be cautious proceeding. If he sends you a d*ck pic, block/delete his number/name and shame him on Twitter. Go forth and conquer those first dates...

Valentine's Day is tricky terrain in any relationship. You want to show you care but to the right degree. In a new relationship? You don't want to go too over the top and scare them off. In a long-term committed relationship? You need something original that you haven't already done. Single? You need to get out and mingle. Read below for the ultimate dating guide...

New Relationship

Don't pretend it's not happening, and completely skirt around the day. Confront it, make it funny.
You haven't put a label on things, and it's deffo too early to spend V-Day together, so just be honest. They're on the same page, but are too frightened to talk about it too. Send them a text along the lines of "Valentine's Day is coming up, that's a lot of pressure, shall we give it a miss or do something non-cringe?".

Long-Term Relationship

This your 8th Valentine's Day together? Romantic dinner and drinks getting a bit boring? Inject some spice and fun into the day and do something out of your comfort zone. Go play ping pong, go to a comedy show, go see burlesque. Get out of your V-Day funk. Oh, and sex toys. Lots of sex toys. Always the key.

Single

Single on Valentine's Day? Yup, that sucks. It feels like the world and their dog are in love and getting engaged, rather than spending the evening under your duvet crying at rom coms, get out and mingle. Go to a Galentine's Day event, or a single's Valentine's day party. Plus, if you're after a hook up, this is *statistically* the easiest day of the year to get laid- all the single people in the world are feeling lonely and just want a warm body. Enjoy.

This weekend saw the return of the MTV Video Music Awards, which first launched back in 1984, and has always been known for it's controversy! It was the ladies who stole the show this year with Rihanna and Beyonce both putting on spectacular performances.

The Highlights:

1) Rihanna and Drake. Obviously. This will be a moment that'll go down in pop culture history. It wasn't really Drake's night, was it? Not only did he miss out on accepting his award for Best Hip-Hop Video, because of traffic, RiRi also rejected a kiss from him.

However, the speech was rom-com worthy and the whole world swooned. He confessed to the world that he'd been in love with her since the age of 22. Awwwww.

We love Drake, but maybe Rihanna wanted the lifetime achievement award to be about her, not them.

2) Queen Bey.

Beyonce performed a medley of songs from Lemonade, and the crowd went wild. She also included some spoken-word poetry by Warsan Shire.

Did you know that she officially overtook Madonna's record for being the most decorated VMA winner? YAS Queen Bey.

Sidenote, Blue definitely won the red carpet in her princess get up.

3) Britney

Britney Spears made her VMA comeback, after that  "Gimme More" 2009 performance. It wasn't spectacular, but it was pretty good, which will do.

She performed "Make Me" with G-Eazy. Honestly, we'd rather she'd have done it solo, but oh well.

4) Kanye

Kanye looked happy! Yes, you heard us, happy! He was smiling the whole time, staring lovingly at Kim and made a truly random speech. Random, but not angry. Kanye always does whatever he wants, and this year was no exception- yes his ramble wasn't particularly interesting, but it's good to see he'll never be an MTV puppet.

5) Kim

Kim looked unreal. That outfit is so simple but so effective.

Will Joseph Cook
