Red lipstick? I’d rather wear it matte, as Diane Cruger does! She is so feminine and seductive! And she mainly focused on her lips instead of driving the attention on eyes too! #lips #redlipstick

You can't go wrong with a bit of red lipstick. It's the colour you can wear to pretty much any occasion, making it one of our favourites! I recommend the MAC Cremesheen lipstick or the Chanel Rouge Allure. #redlipstick Credit: Elle UK Instagram

Nothing says "look at me" during the holiday season like a red outfit. It brings out the warm tones in the skin, and makes you the standout in any room. But we know that red can be daunting sometimes, so we came up with some styling tips for you. Hopefully this helps you step out of your shell and be the bombshell that you are!

a) A red dress
If you don't want to put in the work of putting together a whole outfit with a top and bottoms, just go for a timeless red dress! You can pair this with any kind of nude or black set of accessories, and make it pop. Easy with the effort, heavy with the compliments!

b) Red shoes
A good pair of red shoes can make any outfit go from dull to dope in one swift go! Whether in the form of some laidback sneakers or sky-high stilettos, red can be a trusty accompaniment to any outfit. Any monochrome or neutral outfit can be paired with red shoes, and sometimes even some coloured outfits, depending on your mood. Amirite, Dorothy?

c) Red lipstick
A piece about red without a mention of red lipsticks? Impossible. We Shopcade girls are firm believers that red lips are never a bad idea, and you can do it in many ways depending on your needs. Opt for a blue undertoned red, as it will make your teeth look just a little brighter. And if you aren't looking for a stark opaque red lip, definitely try a thinner coat of lip colour to make it into a dim stain.

d) Red pants
Definitely not a piece of clothing for the faint hearted, but undeniably one to try out sometime. Pair this with a white lace shirt for some classic vibes, or think outside the box with a graphic tee. You can even try wearing you red pants with leopard or cheetah print accents for a more bold look. It sounds scary, we know, but it's a success for sure!

You’d think it would be easy - just hop into a makeup store and pick out the reddest red they have, right? But picking the most flattering red lipstick for yourself is a little more complex than that.

Don’t worry, though. We’re here to help you pick the perfect red lippie to make you look like a vixen!

Here’s what you’ve gotta do: Understand your undertone. All reds aren’t created equal. Some are warm, some are cool, some are neutral. To know which one you should pick, look at the veins on the inside of your wrist.

If they look green, your skin’s undertone is warm. If they’re blue, it is cool. And if you can’t quite tell if it’s blue or green, your undertone is neutral. Pick a red corresponding to your undertone. Now that you’ve understood your undertone, try to go for a red that corresponds to it.

For example, if your veins are green, you should choose a red that leans a little towards orange (like MAC Lady Danger).

If your veins are blue, opt for a cooler, more pink-toned red (like MAC Relentlessly Red).

If you’re neutral, congratulations: you can pull off almost any red lipstick!
