This is not a drill: new Mansur Gavriel styles have just landed on Mytheresa.com fresh off the runway. ‘See it, love it, buy it’ is usually how it goes with the New York based brand’s It bags and shoes but, as this is the first time their ready-to-wear will be stocked as well, we expect this drop to sell out pronto. There’s no doubt about it anymore, MG is taking over your wardrobe one colourfully minimal piece at a time, and has captured the hearts and wardrobes of stylish women worldwide. From a colour-blocked bucket bag to a full- blown offering of essential knitwear, boardroom-to-bar dresses and more, the now-cult brand’s clean and sophisticated aesthetic stays the same. Everything’s free from surface embellishment, bar their discrete logo, so the impeccable materials and craftsmanship can be admired in all their glory.

We can’t think of a better way to sample 2018’s sweet pastel trend than with Mansur Gavriel’s chic lemon, candy floss pink and lavender basics. Think smooth silk shirts and tops and you definitely won’t be missed in an elegantly sheer layered midi dress, which comes in traffic-stopping red as well as this delicious pink. And why buy another iconic leather bucket alone, available here in new colourways and sizes, when you could broaden your collection with a tote, circle crossbody or even a roomy travel bag in classic and contemporary tones. Let the array of suede, shearling lined, and heeled boots put the spring in your step and you’ll be itching to show off your pedicure in the open-toed mules and sandals as soon as the weather permits.

Check out the collection highlights in the gallery above then shop your favourite styles in the exciting edit below.

The Moschino look was fuelled by pastels. Pink lips and glittering eyes were painted onto the Moschino models thanks to Kabuki. Whilst it was mainly cat-eye flicks and Jackie O wigs some of the models were painted in bright hues to offset the colours of the clothes. This is a look that can totally be recreated with a slick of liquid liner and some light blush. Image: Jamie Stoker

Following my previous post, I had to share the pink make up look from Pat McGrath for Prada. Because, well, just look at it. Image:Rex Features/Vogue

Prada has hit the runway and what a show it was. A standout for me has to be this sheer look. Sheer has been all over not only the runways but the tabloids too, for the past few years. It has been a claimed celebrity favourite from Beyoncé's Met Gala gown - you know the one - to Kim Kardashian's, well most of Kim K's wardrobe. I guess it should be no surprise that sheer is still a coveted trend but Prada have changed the trend for me. Over a cute pink number and embellished in floral, this makes sheer more chic than ever. This week our focus surrounds the bag that we've seen on the arms of influencers and fashion editors more than all others combined. Just like the straw basket bag of last year, this material is a bit controversial for winter. But no one stopped wearing the basket bag or the string bag, last year in February either.

The string bag was more of a shopping bag that required an inner bag to hold all of your items safely. This London Fashion Week took notice and presented an evolved version of the bag. Enter the plant pot bag: a transformed evening tote featuring a leather case where you can store your phone and wallet. A few of the "It" bag converts include Hannah Strafford Taylor, Lisa Aiken and Yasmin Sewell.

The design was created by the LA-based brand Staud and has been seen in most Insta accounts especially during London Fashion Week in a variety of hues: from tan to pink, white and red. Fitting in nicely with the rest of the impressive mid-range designer handbags you can purchase the Staud bag without breaking the bank ranging between the $285 and $475 mark.

If you're unsure about the string bag, you can opt for a velvet crush option or a leather version proffered by the fashion pack such as Alexa Chung and Leandra Medine. Wear your favourite style with a day smart outfit and instantly elevate your look.

Head to our gallery for more inspiration and shop from our expert edit below!
