Chrissy Teigen is known for her insanely witty sense of humour, especially in her tweets - who remembers her recent fascination with British TV? She is also stylish as hell. In this pink velvet she looks gorgeous. The slit at the front, slight pull around the waist and off the shoulder tailoring accentuate her fabulous figure. The dress itself is a statement, accessories are barely needed but Teigen completes the outfit with loud earrings and a matching clutch. Image: Elle.com

I really like this dress by Alexander Mcqueen. Dusty Pink and Black are always going to be a good colour match, and I love the structured of the dress. it creates this business on the top, party on the bottom, vibe to the look. A very fun option for party season Photo Credit: @mcqueenontwitter #holidayseries #partyseason #alexandermcqueen #fashion #dress

Even though Pantone's 2017 color of choice was " Greenery", a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade symbolising new beginnings the truth of the matter is, the year felt like it was dedicated to millenial pink. Actually there's never been a year so chromatically in sync with Elle Woods wardrobe - Ever. But, as all Barbie things come to an end, Pantone's 2018 Color of the Year will be "Ultra Violet, a "spiritual, cosmic" purple that "communicates originality ingenuity and visionary thinking that point us toward the future".

Maybe ultra violet is a mature shade of millenial pink? This shade of purple is very reminiscent of late icon Prince and Purple Rain although Pantone's hue is much more brighter and mysterious.

Are you ready to immerse yourself in head-to-toe Ultra Violet? Scroll down below and shop your favourite styles from our edit!

You may have missed the memo that Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2017 was ‘Greenery’ in the mist of all the millennial pink. The influential colour forecaster picks a very specific colour every year that creeps into trends, interiors and wardrobes worldwide and this year’s refreshing yellowy-green supposed to symbolise nature and new beginnings. We’re bringing this up now because 2018’s colour has just been announced: ‘Ultra Violet’. Not be to confused with ‘Love Symbol #2’- iconic artist Prince’s official hue- this dark, blue based purple is brighter and more mysterious; signalling originality, forward thinking and mindfulness. It’s actually very close to Cadbury’s chocolate purple, which is as good an excuse as any to tote and try as many flavours as possible in the coming year. And both 2017 and 2018 shades are surprising easy to wear: whether head-to-toe a la Versace SS18 for Ultra Violet or teamed with other tones if you’re discerning about the shade.

Get into ‘Greenery’ for the rest of the month then pop in ‘Ultra Violet’ from January with our ready-to-shop edits below!

As of late there's a new addition to the already ever growing corduroy pants trend craze. The fabric that we ‘ve mostly associated with muted earthy tones such as chocolate brown, khaki green, off white and maybe midnight blue is now getting a bold makeover. (We could even say Barbie). Celine was the first to feature floor-skimming rose coloured cords for AW17. Then the high street quickly followed. Mango released a version of pink high-waisted cords as one of their key items for 2017.

So it came as no surprise when influencers from coast to coast from Lisa Aiken to Camille Charriere and Irina Lakicevic were seen sporting them. And though we completely get the appeal of the $65 price point, Isabel Marant and Acne studios have also shown wonderfully poppy versions of the flared corduroy pants.

Ready to add them to your wardrobe? Take your pick from our exclusive edit below!

#Millennialpink, the colour named after a generation, has been a colour that stormed the stores. In 2018 this trend wouldn't be going anywhere. Instead of being a statement colour, seen above (image Instagram @recentspaces), pink will be a key accent for #interiors. Think cushions and throws, maybe an accented wallpaper. What are your favourite colours for interiors?
