KIMSU is putting Berlin’s jewellery scene on the map. Launched there in October 2017 after less than a year of development, founders Sue Woo Kim and Roberto Bertinetti deliver sophisticated handcrafted jewellery but they also strive to empower women and be respectful to the environment as they do so. Every KIMSU piece works on different levels: they’re designed to be aesthetically pleasing and to help the woman wearing it find her strength and confidently get in touch with her feminine side. The original and sometimes abstract geometric forms of the earrings, necklaces and rings imitate strong symbols of strength and have an intriguing architectural air. And only recycled silver is used by the self-described ethical and socially responsible brand, along with the finest coloured gemstones and a unique and exclusive shade of gold.

KIMSU definitely plays to and expresses its founders’ strengths and passions as well. Creative Director Kim received a gold ring for her first birthday, as per Korean tradition, which sparked her personal passion for jewellery; and her interior design and architecture background is very evident in the visual aesthetic, graphics and the jewellery itself which she designs. Business and marketing is Bertinetti's forte and focus as brand CEO following years of working in digital marketing and being part of an entrepreneurial family. Based on the belief that the tiniest symbols and gestures can ignite a passion within, dynamic triangles, circles and rectangles all star in KIMSU’s standout debut collection. We’ve got our eye on one of the layered circle rings or the dramatic drop earrings we’ll be tucking our hair behind our ears to show off.

We’re predicting big things for KIMSU so shop our edit of key styles below to be able to smugly say you owned it first.

We're all familiar with that pre-Christmas gifting feeling. We start making lists by artfully extracting information on what our loved ones would like for Christmas. With the same intention we give out information about ourselves. It's all part of the beautiful game of gifting, sharing and ultimately spending time with our favourite people.

For our mothers, sisters and best friends, COACH has a lovely selection of beautifully crafted bags, clutches, cross body bags and other intricately designed accessories that are both bold fun yet classic and chic. Go for a personal charm, a key chain, a gold bangle or a dazzling necklace.

For the men in our lives there's a wide selection of luxe leather items. Go for a practical and sleek leather jacket in a plain monochrome hue or in a bold pattern. Opt for a leather bag or business briefcase and add a personalised tag for the ultimate gifting experience. If you're looking more for a budget solution, choose winter accessories such as leather gloves and a scarf or seasonless winners like a personalised leather wallet or card holder.

Did we mention that many gift items are on sale? Shop your favourite styles below. Hurry sale ends soon.

We’re as guilty as anyone when it comes to checking out other people’s party shoes. They say a lot about you, like whether you dress from the bottom up and most damningly, whether you sacrifice style for comfort. That’s a personal choice of course, however we do believe that there are six party shoes that every women needs in her wardrobe.

Heels and fancy flats are a given but have you ever considered strutting into a party in sneakers? It’s a no brainer now that dressier and fancier pairs are flooding the market and a nifty styling trick borrowed from the boys: who are well versed in pairing their lace-ups with suits and tailoring. Slide-on-and-go mules were an unglamorous proposition until their ongoing reinvention which started a few seasons ago. And obviously a pair of decorative boots are the most cold-proof option, although eye-catching sandals will show off a killer pedicure.

Step up and shop your favourite styles from our top party picks below!

About a year ago my mum bought me a Little Mermaid mug with the caption 'I'd rather be a mermaid' (ahead of the trend I know). It was the perfect gift, personal and well I love tea. The mug comes from online shop #TeaPlease (image from their Instagram @teapleaseuk). They offer a great range of images and phrases, perfect for Christmas presents. I am particularly obsessed with this one, with the #GemmaCollins quote 'I'm a big fan of the dictionary' from the unforgettable time she advocated removing 'Essex girl' from the dictionary.

One thing we took away from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement announcement yesterday, besides their infectious joy and the gorgeous ring, was a masterclass in how to wear a white coat now.

The beaming American actress teamed hers with a dark green dress, nude heels and most daringly, bare legs in the cold, completely eschewing the usual neutral or monochrome formula to make the look her own. Less lab coat, more cocktail hour, Markle’s bold move really paid off- proving just how chic a white coat can be and how one can instantly brighten up a dark winter’s day.

She’s not the only one- Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez have both stepped out in and pulled off white coats while staying true to their enviable personal style. White's versatility, as it goes with everything, is akin to the colour black but it makes a much bigger statement as outerwear.

A word of warning, though, as any marks will ruin the effect. Which means steering clear of red wine and coffee (they’re great but those stains are the worst) when wearing yours and making friends with your local dry cleaner. There’s no denying it: a white coat is high maintenance but it’s worth it.

I am a big fan of artwork. I think a home is complete with a few photos, a movie poster here, a painting there. There's something about it that makes our interiors much more personal and specific to us. I love this print above. I think having a statement piece, especially positioned in a focal position, such as over your bed, completes a room. This is a really cute one seen on @livpurvis' Instagram. Olivia uses it to draw in all the colours of her bedroom. This is definitely set to be a key interior trend in the new year as we see the gallery wall used less and less.

Just when we thought Queen Bey had done it all she went and launched a holiday range. The line is comprised of sweatshirts and wrapping paper as well as, my personal favourite, a onesie covered in 'Yonce'. The line is a lot of fun and I can't imagine another celebrity doing it so successfully. The perfect gift for the fan-girls. Image: Vogue

Beyoncé is a queen. She seems to have found the perfect balance of celebrity stardom with a somewhat hidden personal life. Whilst we might not know what's going on behind closed doors we know what's behind her wardrobe doors. She always looks effortless but chic, as seen here. With high waisted light-wash jeans and a classic white polo neck Bey looks casual but still totally stylish. I love everything down to the camel court shoes which add a slight touch of colour. It's also a look so easy for us to recreate on the high street. Who run the world?

NYC born, Carolyn Compres is the author and Founder the C Statement and a contributor to Taste The Style. She's a Fashion Merchandising student, wife and mama of two who feeds on chocolate and vino. She's an amazing example of a young mum with an exquisite sense of style and our Influencer Focus this week! We caught up with Carolyn and talked about current go-to items, her personal style and all that behind-the-scenes-work that goes in maintaining a blog today.

What compelled you to start a blog?#500050">

I had always wanted to do it but it wasn’t until I gave birth to my first daughter and had to spend a lot of my time at home that I did it. I didn’t feel like I could be at an office from 9-5 because my daughter was too young and I just couldn’t do leave her (first baby problems). Doing this really made me think of things I could do from home and that I was still passionate about, and it occurred to me that I had always wanted to blog. I had a lot of fears, especially the fear of being judged but I got passed them and did it. I am extremely glad I did because I couldn’t be happier with what I have accomplished in a year.#500050">

What's your relationship with fashion? How did it start and what motivates you to keep at it?

Ever since I was a little girl I was extremely passionate about dressing up. I guess it started by seeing my mom and looking at her dress up, it just made me really interested in fashion. I used to collect Vogue Magazines back when I lived in the Dominican Republic and I knew I wanted to dress like those people I saw on the magazines. It’s not hard to keep motivated at it because I feel it comes naturally but sometimes I get a ‘fashion block’ just like writers do and that’s when it becomes a little harder.#500050">

How would you define your personal style? Do you have any icons people accounts that you follow?#500050">

I don’t have a definition for my personal style. I would like to think I am a chameleon, I am willing to try anything at all and I guess that what makes my style. When it comes to inspiration, my biggest inspiration is everyone and everything I see on the streets of NY. Instagram accounts that inspire me are @alwaysjudging and @mirandamakaroff. Both very different styles, but they inspire me in so many ways on a daily basis.#500050">

What do you enjoy most about mixing and matching high street with high end clothing i.e. from YOOX?#500050">

To me, it has always been about the clothing. It doesn’t matter what brands I am shopping or how much does it cost, all that matters is that I like it and I think that’s what I love about it. Using clothes that you are genuinely proud of wearing and not because someone is paying you or because it is socially acceptable to wear it.#500050">

Can you give us 3 styling rules that you abide by?#500050">

I don’t think there are any rules in fashion and that’s what I love about it. You should wear whatever you feel like wearing and forget about the rules.#500050">

What are your current go-to items when getting ready in the morning?#500050">

My current go-to items in the morning are my white Mango boots, my Gucci belt, and my Tory Burch sweater (Its freezing in NY).#500050">

What's the biggest misconception about having your own blog?#500050">

I think the biggest misconception about having a blog is that you need to wear certain items, or that you need to follow certain rules. Be yourself, be confident, and don’t give a shit about what others think.#500050">

What's your morning routine? (makeup beauty styling breakfast)#500050">

I love skin care, and it’s something I want to talk a lot more about with my audience. Although it might sound vain, but your face is so important because everything you do with it people will see. There is no covering up, although makeup helps it isn’t magic. That’s why having a good beauty routine is important, I am still learning about my face therefor not claiming to know anything about it but the most important thing about my morning routine is my skincare routine, I wash my face with Avène : Cleanance Gel, then I tone with Caudalie: Beauty Elixir, then I essence with SK-II: Facial Treatment Essence, then I use a serum from the Glossier 3 pack and then moisturize with Avène: Cleanance Expert, and finish with Milk Makeup’s: Cooling Water for under eye puffiness and  Sunshine Skin Tint which contains both SPF and a little bit of preservative free foundation. I am not a breakfast person but I always have a Starbucks Grande Nonfat Capuccino to go!

What projects are you working on now?#500050">

There are many exciting projects on the works. A lot of brand collaborations coming at the end of the month and then there are other personal projects I am little too superstitious to tell just yet.

Happy Friday! We introduce you to a new instalment at Shopcade. Every week we will present an influencer, content creator or fashion muse that we find inspiring. #222222">This week we sat down with blogger and creator of Hues of White, Santina Harisson to talk about creating a blog in 2017, inspiration, morning routines and how to style denim!

#222222">
#222222">What compelled you to start a blog?

I founded huesofwhite.com in October 2016 as a way to express my love of Art, Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle. You will find chronicles of my daily musings and personal styling on huesofwhite.com. I also want to make people feel beautiful, confident in what they are wearing and inspire my readers through visual content and affordable clothing. My blog for me, represents who I am, a colourful, fun, likes to try anything kind of girl!
#222222">
#222222">What's your relationship with fashion? How did it start and what motivates you to keep at it?

I’ve always admired fashion from a young age and use to really enjoy trying on my mum’s vintage clothing and putting a little of her Chanel red lipstick on and thinking just how much I loved clothes! As I’ve always been interested in fashion and interior, I wanted to create an outlet where I could express my love for this industry. So whilst talking to my friend in PR early last year, the concept of Hues of White came about and I haven’t looked back since!
#222222">
#222222">How would you define your personal style? Do you have any icons people accounts that you follow?

My personal style is always evolving and the older I’m getting the better my decisions! I love to admire street styles and take note from these kind of girls. For me styling is all about working with what you currently have in your wardrobe whilst pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. My icons for inspiration are Lucy Williams, Aimee Song and Alexandra Spencer (she’s created the eclectic brand Realisation Par). Three different styles, three different takes on fashion but they wear things that identify to their personality!

You have an affinity for denim. What makes it special? And what do you look for in a quality denim purchase?

It’s no secret that I am a super huge fan of denim and they form an important piece to my wardrobe - I basically live in them if I’m honest! But what I think makes denim so special is that you can constantly find new ways to wear them. They are super versatile so I can wear the same pair in the day for a casual relaxed look and then completely transform them for an evening look, like these PAIGE jeans I am wearing from TRILOGY store, in London. I genuinely haven’t been able to take them off! The straight cut with raw hem is perfect for the AW17 trend and the quality of these are super sturdy so they don’t lose their fit. Which for me is the most important thing I look for when I purchase any kind of denim.
#222222">
#222222">Can you give us 3 ways to style denim?

To me, denim is the perfect base with which to pair anything that shows a little more or pushes you out of your comfort zone.

Going to work? Pair your jeans with a railroad-striped blazer and a T-shirt. It’s the perfect outfit equation for starting your day off right like I have here in my Paige Jeans from Trilogy Store.

For a casual look, try pairing bold accessories like a red scarf or bag, plus a printed top. It’s a sure fire way to make your jeans feel fresh.

Date Night? Slip on a pair of your statement heels teamed with either your favourite skinny or boyfriend style jeans, a lace top and you’re ready to start the night off right!
#222222">
#222222">What's the biggest misconception about having your own blog?

That it’s the easiest job in the world, because it’s far from that- it requires a lot of creative work and hours!
#222222">
#222222">What's your morning routine like?

Mornings at home are my favourite, and I love that I get to start the day how I want (it’s the only part of the day where I can slow down and enjoy my time!) My morning ritual normally includes playing a little music to get the day started off positively and I love making my own breakfast which tends to be a super bowl of ACAI in some form, mixed with fruit and granola (which my kids love!) whilst sipping a cup or two of coffee! I don’t wear a lot of makeup, and always try to keep it to a minimum but my morning routine is generally made up of tried-and-true look of natural makeup and gently waved hair and prepping my skin with REN’s gentle cleansing gel and supplement moisturising cream. I can’t live without these and pop them along in my bag wherever I go.
#222222">
#222222">What projects are you working on now?

Every time I get approached for a collaboration or get offered a job, I feel like it's a stamp of approval because it means my opinion matters so the products I have been working on mean the world to me. I have just finished working with Trilogy Stores on the perfect pair of Denim Pants for AW17 (here) but I am currently working with DUNE London to show you three ways to wear this season’s hottest boot trend and three ways to dress up sneakers! I am also currently working on something super special with REN and Olivia Rubin. So watch this space!
