If you want to opt for something dramatic, moody and ultra eye-catching in your home, consider a trend that rolls back around season after season: all black everything.

Now, this is a tricky one to get right – you’re aiming for a chic, creative atmosphere, not Addams Family vibes. Luckily, we have a few tips to help you nail the luxe all-black look in your space…

Accent with black

Rule number one: never, ever paint an entire room black. Opt for a single accent wall, a door, a set of shelves or perhaps your window and doorframes. Less is more with this trend.

Black tiles

Introducing dark tiles in your kitchen or bathroom can look super luxe, especially with white grouting for a cool contrast. Consider unusual shapes like hexagons or opt for classic subway tiles offset with a bright white or cool pastel shade.

Look to the floor

If a black wall is too much of a commitment, try black rugs or better still, painted floorboards. Give your floor or set of stairs the chic treatment with a little matte paint.

Offset with metallics

Metallic accessories like lamps, art objects and frames give the illusion of depth, light and additional space. Add a few mirrors to your accent wall or to your deep-toned areas and you'll instantly lift the space and add interest.

Choose a space with natural light

Lots of natural light is the key so use a space like your hallway, kitchen or bathroom to try out this trend. Avoid rooms with very little natural light or small windows as these sorts of spaces can look a little gloomy with too much black on surfaces and walls.

Libra, your time has come and although your naturally intuitive nature means you’re generally pretty good at shopping for yourself, you often find it hard to make decisions. Fear not, because we’ve created a handy guide and an edit of pieces that were made for you.

Airy pastel tones of pink and light blue are your jam, reflecting your calming, loving and very likeable character. These pale hues bring a calming and likeable presence to Libra's personality. Blue represents your clarity and balance, while pink showcases your propensity for love – you are ruled by Venus after all.

So Libra, your love for all things chiffon, crepe and voluminous is never ending due to your interest in breezy and elegant silhouettes, but a well-fitting pair of blue jeans and a fuzzy blush-toned jumper will do just as well for you on off-duty days.

Your sign is among the most social and popular meaning a party-ready look is your go-to. A great line-up of mix and match accessories is essential for balancing your outfit and we know how much you love balance.

The sign of the scales is blessed with a natural sense of right and wrong, making you very focused on justice, honesty, and fairness – is that a politically-charged slogan tee we spy in your autumn line-up?

Now that it’s Libra season your sign ushers in the coming of gorgeous autumn sunshine but as your ruling planet of Venus is currently in retrograde, remember to dress for yourself and don’t worry about the opinions of others. Spend more time shopping for and rocking pieces that are personal to you.

Because Libra sees both sides of every situation, they can have trouble making up their minds. We know how much you love to please others, but don't forget to treat yourself too. If in doubt, just buy both pairs of shoes. You deserve them, Libra.

Shop the Libra season edit below and let a little bit of you shine through…

Now that September's here and New York Fashion Week has graced us once again, it’s time to reflect on the trends we saw on the runways and get excited about wearing them in real life. Here’s our round-up of the top ten trends we loved at NYFW and the ones you'll be seeing everywhere...

Animal print

Already spotted on our favorite street style stars, animal prints ruled the New York runways. Tom Ford’s came in every shape and color you could imagine, but classic leopard patterns still dominate – see Victoria Beckham’s timeless coats.

Western boots

From slouchy over-the-knee shapes to classic cowboy styles, plenty of Western boots were worn on the runway this season. Whichever you choose, show them off with cropped denim or maximalist dresses.

Checks

They may be nothing new, but checks are about to have a major moment. Michael Kors and Calvin Klein 205W39NYC both showed punk-inspired tartan coats – we’ll be wearing them with denim and chunky boots.

Logomania

Logo prints have ruled the street style circuit for several seasons now, and they’re not going anywhere – Alexander Wang’s embellished tracksuits and Tom Ford’s sequined sweatshirts are proof if proof were ever needed.

Neon

Already championed by Kim Kardashian, neon brights popped up everywhere. We loved Calvin Klein’s industrial-style jackets and Tibi’s fluorescent sweaters teamed with low-key camel tailoring.

‘70s brown

Coach and Self-Portrait both showed plenty of ‘70s-inspired brown hues, proving the trend has serious staying power. Try a belted coat or midi dress for a timeless feel.

Colorful suiting

Navy and black will no longer do – suits this season came in every color possible. From candy pinks to pastel blues, any shade goes as long as you’re wearing it from head to toe.

‘80s maximalism

Tom Ford proved the ‘80s are here to stay for another season with purple leopard-print leggings, sequins and shoulder pads.

Modern sports

Sportswear is now a staple on the runway, and this season it came in sleek silhouettes with industrial details – think quilted nylon midi skirts and oversized drawstring pants.

The new utility

Military-inspired pieces make their way onto the catwalk every fall, and with good reason: a classic double-breasted coat or khaki jacket will never go out of style.

With so many festivals and big events taking place this summer, it’s time to supercharge your look. We’re talking cute pastel hues, metallics, glitter and statement accessories. But why stop with your outfit?

Festival hair is the biggest trend to hit Instagram this season and believe us when we say these mermaid and extra terrestrial-inspired looks are here to stay. Though they might look out of this world, they’re actually pretty easy to master…

Start with clean hair

Be sure to give your hair a good wash before attempting a festival hair look. Using a purifying shampoo, conditioner and scalp exfoliator will give you a great base to start with. Give your locks a simple blow dry with plenty of heat protector and style wavy, straight or curly, depending on your preference.

Get textured

The boho babe look is all about texture so use a texturizing spray, pomade or salt spray to tease and curl different sections of you hair. Scrunch, twist and even backcomb a few sections underneath to add volume. Next, style in braids or space buns and finish with a little extra backcombing at the front.

Just add glitter

Next you’ll want to add a little sparkle. Spray a little hairspray or lightly apply a small amount of gel to the area you want to add glitter to. Then using soft make up brush carefully dab glitter in layers and set with hair spray.

Finishing touches

Finally, take a little color spray or hair chalk and highlight sections of your bangs or the ends of your braids. Go for a cool blue or pastel pink to really make the glitter pop. Finish with a spritz of hair perfume to keep you fresh and festival ready and voilà.

Both, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex look so beautiful with their outfits.  What I really love about their looks, is the colors that they choose for the outfits and how they complement their skin tones so lovely.  The pastel baby blue color looks marvelous on Kate's fair and rosy complexion, and the dusty pastel pink is so stunning on Meghan's dark and olive complexion.  If you have similar a skin tone to anyone of the duchess, keep these color in mind when you're  looking for a new wardrobe. photo credit: @cosmopolitan. #royalty #theduchess #fashion #look
