We couldn't have been more excited to celebrate V Festival's 21st birthday at Weston Park, Stafford on Saturday 20th! Headlining the event was none other than Rihanna who'd performed at V before, with other main stage acts such as David Guetta, Little Mix, Years & Years, and Example.

The weather at Weston Park, Stafford was damp but forgiving. Raining on and off throughout the day, ducking into the plasticine blue tent in which the Dance Arena was located acted as a failsafe for revellers who couldn't wait to indulge in some daytime clubbing.

Years & Years' Olly Alexander raked in the crowd with an upbeat and heartfelt performance prior to Little Mix lighting up the stage shortly after with covers of Willow Smith and Beyonce alongside hits such as Salut and Black Magic. Dressed in matching army bomber jackets, khaki green bodysuits, and black thigh high boots, the girls whipped up a frenzy when Craig David made a surprise appearance during the set!

Scoping out the scene at V Healthy (yes, there ARE food and drink options at V for clean eating practitioners) prior to David Guetta's set, we were alerted to his arrival when festival goers dropped what they were doing/eating/drinking (literally) and flocked in droves to the main stage.

By this point, with tunes like Sexy Chick, Bad, and Hey Mama blaring from the speakers, we'd long eschewed caring whether our clothes clung to our bodies from the rain and embraced the beat with gusto.

Soon after, rides and food stalls were abandoned by all as everyone patiently waited for Rihanna who true to RiRi style, arrived with a bang in a chocolate brown leather bodysuit, asymmetric distressed trousers, and a matching oversized trench.

Leaving the cheering crowd satisfied with a stellar performance complemented by her contortionist backup dancers and hits such as Diamonds, Work, and BBHMM, RiRi proved once again she has stage presence like no other!

For those who don’t know, Tomorrowland is one of the biggest electronic music festivals held in the world which happens every year in Belgium. If you happened to make it there this year, we are jealous and you are totally rad. However, if you couldn’t, we feel you and here are the three important things we missed out on.

• MUSIC! If you’re an EDM fan, then you already know what you missed out on. Artists like Tiesto, Axwell, Ingress, Dimitri Vegas etc performed their top hits and Deadmau5 and Eric Prydz headlined the festival this year. Ouch! Attending it could almost have been a dream come true!

• Making new friends Yes, isn’t it a known fact that music festivals can be the best place to make friends? Imagine making a friend who’d then become your best mate! It’s possible, we know because we all have that one friend we made at a music festival.

• BELGIUM!!! We all know Belgium has the best chocolate! Apart from that, it’s also one of the most popular European countries. If you’re a travel buff, you’ve definitely missed out on this glorious opportunity to see this beautiful country.

But do not worry! Tomorrowland will happen again next year and hopefully we have inspired you to start planning in advance. Hopefully, you may also want to plan your outfits and because music festivals are all about colours and prints – below is a small collection curated just for you.

Coachella is a hard weekend to pack for; you’re in the desert, you’re sweating, it’s a 24 hour affair and you have to look great for every part of it. So what do you do? You pack the ultimate beauty kit which I’ve provided for you in this list.

These items will help you look great with little to no effort while keeping you hair and skin moisturized and taken care of. Let’s start with your make up. A lot of girls have a hard time ditching their makeup so if you need to have something going on, these are the places you should be concentrating on. To give an overall solid beauty look for the dessert concentrate on brows, lashes, cheeks and lips.

These are easy to reapply, take with you and once you got those areas down, you don’t really need anything else. If you HAVE to have a foundation I would say go for a very light powder or foundation because you’re sweating and your dancing, which doesn’t sound like a great mix for a heavy foundation.

A few other items in this list are a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair hydrated and looking great. A detangler brush and salt spray will help keep the styling of your hair easy and short.

Get your prep on with all the items in this list!

Festival season means peasant tops, off the shoulder denim dresses, wide-brimmed hats, and lace-up espadrilles. Some things

I absolutely love this spring/summer are: button-down 70's miniskirts, especially in bold colors! And pastel hues, baby blue sunhats or dusty rose suede boots.

And don't forget embroidered pieces from bell-sleeved tops to denim skirts to jackets. Florals, bright colors, whites, and lace are always your friend! Finally, crop tops let you soak up some sun.

Dance away with friends in style at Coachella with our top picks below!

August is ending, and with it comes the last wave of outdoor summer festivals. Afropunk may be one of the later festivals of the season, but it always has the most trend-setting fashion.

The annual music show in Brooklyn celebrates Black artists and inspires much more incredible outfits than your typical insipid Forever-21 Coachella looks. The headliners this year were amazing, most notably an inspired (& topless) Grace Jones performance!

Feeling a bit funky and need to jazz up your outfits? Scroll through our favorite looks from the festival and shop our Afropunk style edit below!
