Petit tour d'horizon :

Équation #1 :  Long Manteau + Bottines + Bonnet

In music and ballet ‘allegro’ means swift and lively - the perfect way to describe these next-level shoes. Simple, sleek and the comfiest ballerina shoes we’ve ever come across, this new style ticks every box with its classic Parisian silhouette, soft leather upper and supportive shock-absorbing soles.

Plus, in luxe metallic iterations or classic nude and black the styling possibilities are endless. Our tip? Team your Allegro flats with a printed midi dress and cool leather jacket for day to night and for the weekend opt for distressed denim, an oversized army jacket and a statement cross-body bag.

What’s classier and more comfortable than a classic ballerina shoe? Name us another style, we’ll wait. Made iconic by the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Kate Moss, ballet flats are a staple of every stylish woman’s wardrobe.

In music and ballet ‘allegro’ means swift and lively which seems the perfect way to describe the new offering from Fitflop. The Allegro Ballerinas are a fusion of fashion-tech and enduring style and we can confirm, they’re the comfiest flats ever.

With FitFlop’s signature footbed technology, these ballet pumps offer your feet the anatomical support they need. And before you say, ‘supportive shoes are for my mother, not for me’ hear us out.

The Dynamicush technology minimises impact so when you’re pacing to a meeting or running for the bus, you won’t feel the ground hitting your feet and sending shockwaves through your legs.

Your ankles won’t feel wobbly after a day on your feet and thanks to a luxe leather upper and a range of colour options, you’ll be looking decidedly classic and elegant or cool and collected – depending on how you style yours.

We suggest teaming your Allegro Ballerinas with anything from distressed denim and a cool army jacket and shirt combo to an on-trend leopard-print midi dress and a boxy leather jacket.
Or if your work-to-weekend look rests more on the formal side, team a pencil skirt and checked blazer with a classic white tee and match your ballerina pumps to your bag.

The styling possibilities are endless and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love being comfortable all day and all night, no matter where you’re heading?

Move over mini, take a hike maxi – the midi is fashion's go-to skirt silhouette this season. Long enough to shield your pins from those cool October breezes but short enough to showcase your ultra-cool autumn boots and a well-chosen sock – if that's your jam – the midi skirt is the perfect low-effort piece to rock now.

Plus, with styles in satin, tulle, animal print and metallics with ruffles, wrap fronts and pleats to choose from, it's easy to switch up your skirt for any occasion. We suggest rocking yours with a simple black jumper, layered necklaces and a cool biker jacket.

For night, team your midi skirt with a silky camisole and complete the look with block-heeled sandals and a statement clutch in mock crock or with jazzy embellishments.

The army jacket is back and it's cooler than ever. An off-duty staple made essential by the likes of Kate Moss, Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung, the olive-toned military jacket is a fall must-have once again.

Cool, grungy and incredibly versatile, team yours with anything from distressed denim and boots to a belted midi dress and spike heels. Take cues from Anine Bing and rock yours with skinny leather pants and a neckerchief or opt for a simple Breton tee and pleated skirt combo.

Perfect layered over a cozy sweater or thrown over a shift dress, the styling possibilities are endless. Plus, when the weather gets colder, simply team yours with knitted accessories and biker boots.

London is known for being the most experimental of all of the Fashion Week cities – with so many up-and-coming designers on the schedule, there’s always a collection to suit every style. Now that autumn is upon us, we’ve rounded up the top trends we spotted at LFW that you’re about to see everywhere...

Corduroy

Meet the most unexpected trend of the season: Roland Mouret, Erdem and Emilia Wickstead gave corduroy a whole new look with pretty shades and feminine silhouettes – try a midi skirt or flared trousers to take it into the evening.

Sequins

Sequinned pieces for party season may not sound groundbreaking, but the LFW runways were awash with shimmering designs. Look to Temperley London, Halpern and Toga for inspiration, and try an ‘80s-inspired shape to tick off two trends in one.

Tartan

Checks were all over the AW18 runways, but London’s had a punk feel to them. Simone Rocha and House of Holland both showed head-to-toe tartan looks, and we predict you’re about to see a whole lot more of them on your favourite influencers.

Rainbow stripes

Christopher Bailey’s final collection for Burberry was a tribute to PRIDE, but it wasn’t the only show that was dominated by rainbow hues – Ashish and Osman also presented bold multicolored pieces, from striped trousers to embellished dresses.

Blanket coats

Perhaps the most practical trend for autumn, blanket dressing was a key theme throughout the London shows. From Rokanda’s checked wraps to Delpozo’s furry asymmetric styles, these cosy cover-ups will be the coolest way to stay warm this winter.
