Now that we're seeing the back of yet another season of London Fashion Week, let's take a moment to reflect on which shows over the years have captured the hearts and imaginations of everyone around the globe!

Scroll through our gallery above to see videos and imagery from shows of yesteryear.

From Alexander McQueen's Voss show in which Kate Moss and fellow models performed within a giant glass box (the finale is also quite spectacular!) to the time Prince performed on the catwalk at Matthew Williamson's SS08 show, take a peak at which designers did what to carve their mark on LFW...

Mad Monday kicks off today at London Fashion Week, but we think Sunday's showing seemed to be vying for this title this season with a packed schedule, celeb filled FROWs AND...a shoppable catwalk.

Burberry may well be ahead of the curve on most things, but Henry Holland secured a triumph last night with a gimmick that allowed you to buy the collections being showed there and then.

VIPs Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe were invited onto the catwalk during the finale to purchase a piece using a specially customised Apple Pay HOH ring. They simply had to tap the items they wanted and boom, instant gratification.

As LFW becomes more and more commercial and less about exclusivity (this season in particular has proved that) customers buying the collections from the catwalk in real time makes complete sense.

With Henry leading the way, Matthew Williamson actually missing this season so he can focus on selling SS16 when it actually is Spring and Versus Versace's collection already available on Selfridges, we can't wait for next season!
