Some trends grow symbiotically. Take peanut butter and jelly, Nirvana and Dr. Martens or a cinched waist and statement sleeves. Ever since the waist became defined the shoulders and arms became big, puffy and oversized to exaggerate the silhouette. The statement sleeve has taken centre stage both on the catwalk and on our Instagram feeds. Early adopters include Leandra Medine sporting Rosie Assoulin's signature oversized sleeve tops.

This season the trend expanded to the masses, from balloon to billowing and bell-shaped the impressive sleeves this year a offered in great variety to suit all tastes and arm sizes :) For an uber romantic aesthetic head over to Roksanda Ilincic who presented elegant feminine dresses embellished with aethereal bell sleeves. Ellery focused on length rather than volume while Balenciaga and Jacquemus showed exaggerated 80's puffer sleeves. Over at Gucci, Anna Sui and Simone Rocha the interpretation was dramatic balloon sleeves. Thankfully we can now find most of these styles from high street brands like Zara Topshop and Mango without breaking the bank.

Although a summer trend the statement sleeve is an absolute winner for the upcoming AW season. It can instantly lift any old boring wardrobe item by giving it depth and volume. It also is quite cleverly elongating and thus complementary for any figure. So unless you're prone to dip your sleeves into your dinner - statement sleeve tops and dresses will be one of your favourite purchases of the year!

Check out our exclusive edit of the best statement sleeve items on the market this season!

Top Tip!! To create your custom lip color use petroleum jelly, your favorite clear gloss or ChapStick and add any color mineral eyeshadows! Add a small amount of shadow and mix for a more sheer look or slowly adding more shadow for more of an opaque look (I would swatch it before adding more till you get the look you want). I find getting those small, round, clear, stackable containers (you can find them on amazon or at any craft store) are great for storing them. They make for an easy way to take with you on the go or for clients in your makeup kit! Also a fun DIY project for young girls too! My girls also love making their own lip glosses!! 😆💖💄 #toptips #lipgloss #diy #lipcolor #lipstick #makeuparistsworldwide #makeup #makeupartist  #bosschick #makeupobsessed #makeupaddict #bossbabes #makeupjunkie #boss #workfromhome  #womensempowerment #cosmetics #womenwithambition #instabeauty #picoftheday #instapic #instagood #instadaily #fempire #usewhattheprosuse #womenempoweringwomen #ilovemyjob #mybeautyaddiction #limelightbyalcone #holliewoodmua

A cute little pair of heels is a staple in every closet. But there's a first step to every journey, and if you're the girl that needs a little help with working her heels, we got your back. Use these tips and tricks to perfect your strut!

Find the perfect shoe:
The kind of high heels you wear can definitely impact your walk. Start off with a pair of wedges, as those are the easiest on the foot and are less likely to hurt!

You can then slowly graduate to platforms, chunky heels, and stilettos when you're comfortable.

Fix your posture:
Ever noticed how runway models walk with one foot directly in front of the other, and are usually with their backs straight and their hips out? These aren't just moves for show, they're actually tricks used to avoid injury! Try it, you'll instantly see a difference.

Prep yourself:
As with all new shoes, heels take time to break in as well. But you can speed up this process by rubbing a little petroleum jelly on the inner rim of your shoe before putting them on. As you walk, your shoes will begin to loosen up and adapt to your feet. This trick also avoids friction burn and shoe bite.

Practice makes perfect:
We are well aware that the perfect walk doesn't come easy. So the only way to combat this is to work them heels as much as possible! Try wearing your heels around the house on lazy days, and practice walking around your room in front of the mirror. You'll be a pro catwalker in no time!

Makeup maketh the costume. Shakespeare said that right? Anyway, the point is, makeup is integral to a kick ass Halloween look. However, face paint, fake blood and glitter are not your face's friend- they're practically wishing breakouts to happen. No matter how many cocktails you've had, don't pass out still wearing your costume makeup.

Here are our top tips to take off your makeup, they're so simple even the drunkest zombie can do it...

1) Glitter

Use a natural oil, like coconut. Rub the oil over the glitter, then use an oil soaked cotton pad and swipe the glitter off your face.

2) Face Paint

Face paint with a water-base is way easier to remove than oil, so pick this one when you're shopping. Most face paint is designed to come off with basic soap and water, usually not the best beauty tip but it's better than sleeping in it.

3) Body Glue

Use a cotton pad soaked in baby oil, if this doesn't work then soak it in alcohol.

4) Fake Blood

Use a water-based makeup remover, if this doesn't do the trick then apply some petroleum jelly as it will break down the stubborn patches- simply wipe away with a washcloth when you're done.

Shop the products below to make sure you don't give yourself a fright in the morning...

Get your pool party style on in these adorable pieces! Whether you're a bikini gal or a one-piecer, choose from a variety of flattering suits in fringe, crochet, or neon.

A cover-up or loose maxi dress is super easy to throw on when you're slipping in and out of the pool, and slip-on sandals fit right in with the comfy vibe. If you're staying dry, a tie-dyed pair of shorts and retro-cool jelly shoes still scream Pool Party! Grab some stunning sunnies or a floppy hat to keep sun glare off.

Coachella and florals go together like peanut butter and jelly so you KNOW you need the print in your bag when you head out to the desert.

From shorts to dresses, the print is a must have for this boho inspired festival weekend. In this list I’ve prepared 4 different looks to get your floral on, from tassel bags to killer shades you’ll be sure to steal the show.

You can mix and match your florals or keep it to a minimum with one piece. I’m loving the jean shorts in this list because they aren’t necessarily a print but still have an ode to floral. Don’t forget your accessories! Long, dainty necklaces and colored earring studs are a must and the one’s right here are perfect.

Shop the list and get your flower power on now!

Red and leopard go together like peanut butter and jelly. The combo is sexy, sleek and classic with a vintage twist.

I love how Emma Roberts wore a somewhat slouchy red dress instead of a clichè bodycon or something along those lines. She kept warm with the long sleeves and her black tights that always give you insurance in colder weather.

The leopard booties are a solid choice and I like that she went for a more natural color on her lips so it wasn't red overload. Loving the look, Emma!
