A return flight to Ireland might be a bit tricky if you’re on the other side of the Irish Sea, but that’s no excuse not to celebrate St Patrick’s day.

Luckily, we picked out all the best places for you to go to in London & Britain. That way you don’t have to waste time figuring out where to go, and you can spend all your time enjoying yourself.

London:
#behindeverygreatcity. <="" div="">Prepare for more than 125,000 people spread all over Green London to celebrate St. Paddy’s day! This 3-days celebration is not only about all the Guinness you can drink, but also features the best of Irish culture. Expect Irish dance and ceilidh, open air gigs in some of London's most iconic places, going from Hyde Park Corner, to Haymarket, to Trafalgar Square, not forgetting Whitehall and Picadilly.
#behindeverygreatcity. <="" div="">
Saturday:
#behindeverygreatcity. <="" div="">Hawker House will host a Six Nations with Guinness, with a England-Ireland game. Don’t forget to buy some ticket if you’re a big rugby fan (or your partner is).
Camden Market, once the heart of Irish London, plays host to an Irish music trail, all played by female performers.

#behindeverygreatcity. <="" div="">Sunday:
#behindeverygreatcity. <="" div="">We are waiting for you at 12pm at Piccadilly to start the day with the famous parade. Picture Irish dancers, bagpipes and leprechauns. Trafalgar Square on Sunday is the place to be if you don’t want to miss the epitome of the festivities, featuring a line-up of well-known Irish acts and rising stars. This year, the performers will pay their tribute to Dolores O’Riordan of the Cranberries. You can also enjoy the craft market around the festival, showcasing the best of Irish making. And if you’re bringing the little ones with you, head to Pall Mall, the festival’s family zone.

What to do over the week-end in London:
#behindeverygreatcity. <="" div="">St. Patrick’s Day is a good excuse to enjoy some of the rich Irish culture London has to offer. Tour guide Tony O'Donnell offers three tours to explore Irish history. The program: Friday is exploring the ramifications of the 1916 Rebellion in London, Saturday Camden Town (a good excuse to combine the Irish music trail with the tour), before finishing on Sunday with an Emerald City tour — running from Ludgate Hill to Covent Garden.
If you’re more into arts, go to Pauline Bewick Art Exhibition, one of the most famous Irish artists, at the City Hall at The Queen’s Walk next to Tower Bridge. Here is a secret- if you can’t do it this week-end, the exhibition ends on the 21st of March.

Birmingham:
Only Dublin and New-York can beat the St. Paddy’s Day parade of Birmingham, home to Britain’s only Irish quarter. The Sunday parade will set off at 2pm from Camp Hill, through Digbeth towards the Bullring shopping centre then loop back round again.

Belfast:
Northern Ireland's capital will feature a colourful parade with a free-to-access concert. The parade is planned for Saturday 17th, on the theme Global Belfast and will be departing from Royal Avenue at 11.30am finishing at Writers Square. After the parade, enjoy a free concert full of X Factor favourites from 1.30pm.

Short of doing a bar hop, watching the parades and downing as much Guinness as humanly possible, let's not forget that it's an unspoken rule for all those celebrating to wear green so check out our St. Paddy's Day editor's picks below!

Whichever shade of green floats your boat- Mint green, shamrock green, khaki green or neon green- you can be sure we've found it in tops, dresses, jumpsuits, shoes, bags and accessories...

With the weekend sure to be packed with St. Paddy's Day celebrations, there's still time to grab something festive to wear!

Oxfords! Hailing from Scotland and Ireland many, many years ago, the Oxford shoe later took its name from Oxford University.

For those not brainy enough to have gotten the grades to set ever foot in that fine monstrosity of an educational establishment, it's gonna be okay. You can still wear Oxfords! Pair them with a simple tee and a pleated midi skirt or skinny jeans for a smart casual look.

Shop below for our top Oxfords picks from labels such as Kurt Geiger, Shoe the Bear, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Opening Ceremony, Sarenza and more...

Ed Sheeran rose to prominence after being spotted by Jamie Foxx, gaining popularity through YouTube and reaching number two in the iTunes chart - without any promotion or label!

After working in the US with stars such as Taylor Swift (one of his BFFs) and Elton John, being featured in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug soundtrack, and being nominated for Best New Artist at the 2014 Grammy Awards, Ed became iTunes’ best-selling artist in the UK, Ireland and New Zealand.

Ed won British Male Solo Artist and British Album of the Year in the 2015 Brit Awards and, with the musician recently winning Favourite Male Artist at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards, it’s fair to say Ed’s popularity is unlikely to wane any time soon!

Can you use our clue below to guess his age?

Clue: Ed Sheeran was only 20 years old when he purchased and renovated a farm in Suffolk, intending to use it to raise a family.

Got it yet?…

Last chance…

Ed Sheeran is …

24 years old!

He was born on the 17th of February 1991.
