It's true that dressing for work everyday especially if you work in the creative industry can be a bore or an extra piece of anxiety you don't need in your everyday life. It's actually why Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs used to wear the same "uniform" outfit every day (so not the same actual clothes but their clones so to speak) so they would have one less decision to worry about. And we know what they're talking about!

There are many times when you can simply get away with a simple trouser and shirt combo, but especially during the winter season, we tend to fall into the 'samey' outfit trap. Sporting the same sweater a few days in a row. Dressing for work shouldn't be difficult if you simply invest in a few key items. For example, you have to own a versatile suit or a few blazers to choose from and wear them with shirts, jumpers, or t-shirts. Then go for a really great pair of trousers coupled with work- sweaters.

If you want to step out the usual blazer and trousers uniform opt for a midi skirt, a pair of corduroy pants or (if your workplace allows it) a funky jumpsuit. If you own the key ingredients it should be fairly easy to mix and match in order to create an elegant outfit Monday to Friday hassle-free.

To the untrained eye, these vests look like any other plain basic top. But put one on underneath your winter clothes and step out into the cold and you’ll realise how much warmer you are as a result of heat tech and the special fibres they’re woven from. So why are thermal vests more common place on the ski slopes than in everyday winter attire? Probably because they haven’t quite shaken off their ‘grandma’ reputation, although time are changing now that grandpa sneakers are all the rage.

Bet you’re wondering how to style them and truth be told, it’s much easier than you think given thermal vest are largely black and white. Light and thin enough to wear under everything, the real question is whether you want to show them off or keep them unseen. You can choose from camisole, tank, t-shirt and long-sleeve arm lengths and we’ve put together some outfit ideas below to help get you started. Stock up: it’s likely to get colder from here.

Shop the styles that will slot into your wardrobe most effortlessly from our thermal vest edits below.

In the difficult sartorial time that we call winter many dilemmas arise usually under the umbrella of comfortable versus stylish. Thankfully, many times those two ideas live in the same realm but unfortunately many times you have to choose (bye comfy trainers, hello stilettos). This time we're talking about the harsh choice between bare legs or tights.

Lately, our Insta feeds have flogged with amazing pair of tights and statement socks, from designers to fishnets so this one won't be one of those difficult decisions. From Leandra Medine to Pandora Sykes, Charlotte Charriere and Cara Delevingne there's no reason why you can't stay both warm and fashionable at the same time. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Hooray, we're in the final countdown for Christmas. And if you're spending Christmas at home you have probably already sorted out your gifts, bought them, wrapped them and placed them under the Christmas tree. You have also decorated your flat and immersed it in true holiday spirit either with choosing a great set of Christmas lights or by investing in a few items like posters, candles and tinsel. Now, it's time to think about classic Christmas Dinner recipes.

Apart from your typical turkey with stuffing, you'll need some mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and vegetables such as carrots, turnip, parsnips. If you want to stay away from going so traditional try other types of poultry, such as roast beef, or ham. For dessert, go for a delicious pumpkin or apple pie, raisin pudding, Christmas pudding, or fruitcake.

Rihanna’s hit ‘Work’ is pretty much the soundtrack to their life but they wouldn’t change it for the world. The CEO(s) in your life, aka people who live, breathe and love their work are always super busy and supremely organised. Meeting up with them requires a flick through their diary or a scroll down their e-calendar to settle on a faraway date where they don’t have a prior engagement. Which doesn’t mean they aren’t fun, just the ratio of their work-life balance is a little different to yours, and secretly you envy their productivity.

There’s two tacks you can take when finding a CEO’s gift. Pick something chic or useful that they’ll use often like an umbrella (which sounds strange but you know they’ll mentally thank you if they get caught in a downpour en route to an important meeting) or a luxe notebook to quickly write their eureka ideas into. Or upgrade their power wardrobe- a statement shirt will slot in seamlessly, helping them stand out among the suits and pencil dresses; along with a pair of 18 hour boots they’ll prize. Sophisticated flourishes like geometric jewellery or a structured bag should also gain their approval and gratitude.
