The season 2017/2018 will be the year of celebration, sparkles, and feathers! Yes, that's right, plush feathers are splashed over dresses, coats, and accessories. The memo was clear on the catwalks. Designers for autumn created plump amazing craftwork embellishments that added a glamour ingredient to the fabrics.

Uber-feminine was the theme at JW Anderson while an "overwhelming" sense of old Hollywood glitz was emphasized at Balenciaga. At Raf Simon's Calvin Klein, the meaning was modernized as feathers were affixed on cocktail dresses or slipped under see-through plastic covers. Miu Miu and Prada also showed explosive feather decorated creations.

Feathers quickly flocked the red carpet too. Feather devotees include Julianne Moore in Calvin Klein and Uma Thurman sporting a seams extravaganza number. Feathers don't have to be overwhelming, conversely, you can aim for subtlety.

Don't go for a costume-like number unless that's your thing, of course, opt for an item like a coat, skirt, or dress with just a few feather details.#000000; background-color: transparent">

The Israeli beauty, actress and former model Gal Gadot, gained global popularity from her role in "Wonder Woman". Over the past years she has been a red carpet regular and the former Miss Israeli knows how to make an outfit look glamorous. Among her most memorable red carpet appearances is the look she sported at the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" premiere. Gal Gadot looked amazing in a red slinky Prada dress. The velvet red gown featured embellished crystals and a deep neckline. She rocked a bold red lip to finish off the old Hollywood glam look.

At the premiere of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", in New York she opted for a mini bodycon Balmain dress. As the high neck and cut outs of the dress made a big statement, she opted for a natural makeup for balance.

The actress was part of the SS16 campaign of Dolce & Gabanna, and proudly wore a D&G floral number on a Jimmy Kimmel interview the same year. These days you can find her making the rounds at SNL, and her first monologue on the show, taking care of her 7 year old daughter and doing press for her upcoming movie.

On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last Thursday, she sported a corset-like top with high-waisted wide bell bottoms that made her instantly chic and added more points to her already tall frame. Browse through our gallery for more styleinspo and see how you can get her look by scrolling below.

You know you’re blooming in pure optimism when head-to-toe yellow is not only encouraged but considered one of the best selling trends for this summer. The great news is that yellow miraculously compliments tanned skin and extremely fair tones as well. Let's just take a moment to think of the big 'yellow' moments of this year. From Beyonce's infamous Cavalli (when she's Lemonading, of course) Emma Stone in La La Land or Emma Watson in Beauty and the Beast. But yellow is not only a big Hollywood hit (although it does remind us of gold, so Oscars and Golden Globes). The shade featured on the S/S 17 runways at Acne Studios, ChloĂ©, Mulberry and Jil Sander. It's also very popular day wear. Let's look at the key ways to wear yellow this summer!

Yellow Romantic

If you want to emulate the ultimate European summer day outfit, look no further than the mustard yellow day dress. It is elegant and comfortable enough to walk around and discover the city. Its perfect companion is a straw basket bag and a pair of sleek and comfy mules. Finish the look with a pair of oversized sunnies for the ultimate Italian actress goes incognito look.

Yellow Blend

For the yellow sceptic, we have a great solution. Opt for the biggest trend, yellow wide legged pants, and style them with a muted colour palette top if you want to ease into the yellow trend (white, black. eggshell). If you're feeling bolder tie in the yellow with a completely unexpected and oh-so-optimistic colour like ciel blue (check Leandra Medine's version in the gallery) or a bright purple or fuchsia. Finish your look with a similar colour high heel sandal and an uber cool mini clutch.

Yellow Gingham

Why do one trend this summer when you can have two? The romanticism of the gingham pattern beautifully pairs with the pure zest for life of the yellow and the two can create some super cool outfits. From an off the shoulder top, mini summer dress, a scarf. bag or even a little blazer. Pair them with white denim jeans, sandals, oval sunnies and a basket bag. Your summer day outfit is ready.

Vintage Yellow Glam

There's an undeniable power in yellow dresses it's not by chance that most stars opt for this colour when posing on the red carpet. Who can forget Rene Zellweger in 2001 Oscars, wearing vintage Jean Desses, Michelle Williams in that gorgeous ruffle gown by Vera Wang in 2006 or Alicia Vikander's custom made Louis Vuitton at last years Oscars? Try a maxi yellow slip dress with tousled hair red lip and gold accessories. Pair the dress with high heels and a chic clutch for the perfect summer going out look.

Livraison digne d’Hunger Games

The Grammys 2017 were, as to be expected, dramatic.

Adele kicked off the awards with a powerful performance of "hello", oh and won every gong she was up for. Which was five, FYI. The most memorable moment of the night was Adele's acceptance speech for 'Album of the Year', where she broke her award in half to give to Bey. Tearfully stating "I can't possibly accept this award and I'm very humbled and I'm very grateful but the artist of my life is Beyonce".  It was all very Mean Girls and Kanye inspired.

Beyonce performed Love Drought and Sand Castles and stole the show, getting a standing ovation. She won two awards, despite missing out on the 'Album of the Year', so it wasn't all tears last night for Queen B.

The best dressed stars included Chrissy Teigan, RiRi and Katy Perry. Lady Gaga's look was riskay and we are serious fans. Slay, girl.

After Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, winners struck a defiant tone against Trump's sweeping immigration ban. From emotional personal reflections to battle cries, all the speeches united in their disdain for Trump's latest policy: halting of immigrants from seven predominantly Muslim nations.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, while accepting another feather in her cap for Veep, made a gripping comment about the same. "I'm an American patriot. And I love this country. And because I love this country, I am horrified by its blemishes. This immigrant ban is a blemish, and it is un-American." As the daughter of an immigrant who fled religious persecution in Nazi-occupied France, Louis-Dreyfus' words shook the room.

Taraji P. Henson, whose film Hidden Figures snagged the award for Best Movie Ensemble, was quick to add to the discourse. "This story is about unity," said Henson, alongside her costars Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae. ''This story is about what happens when we put our differences aside and we come together as a human race. We win. Love wins. Every time."

But the most moving speech of all came from Mahershala Ali, who won best supporting actor for his acclaimed performance in Moonlight. Ali said the film, about a shy, gay Miami boy's hard life, holds lessons of acceptance. "We see what happens when you persecute people," Ali said. "The fold into themselves." Ali said his own relationship with his mother exemplified tolerance. The son of Protestant minister, Ali converted to Islam 17 years ago. But despite their clear differences, he says that love is stronger. "We put things to the side," Ali said of their differences. "I'm able to see her. She's able to see me. We love each other. The love has grown. That stuff is minutia. It's not that important."

The nominees for the 89th Academy Awards are out, and it seems like the picks for Best Picture are the creme de la creme of 2016. It's certainly going to be a tough category to pick a winner from, since each film is so unique and amazing in it's own right. We found some fun facts about each of the nominated films, which makes each one even more special! So, which one are you rooting for?

Arrival: Renowned scientist and tech innovator Stephen Wolfram and his son Christopher Wolfram were consulted to ensure all terminology, graphics and depictions were sound.

Fences: When Paramount Studios originally had the film rights to the play in the 1990s, Eddie Murphy was being considered for the male lead.

Hacksaw Ridge: Director Mel Gibson wanted the war situation to be realistic because the battle for Okinawa resulted in the greatest loss of life in the South Pacific during World War II.

Hell or High Water: While shooting the film, Chris Pine got to play country and western music with his costar and music icon Jeff Bridges.

Hidden Figures: The three women in the film, Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughan, helped the United States catch up in the “space race” and send John Glenn, who recently passed away at the age of 95, into orbit around Earth.

La La Land: This film has picked up 14 Oscar nominations this year, tying the record held by Hollywood legends such as Titanic and All About Eve.

Lion: Nicole Kidman filmed all her scenes in Melbourne and Hobart, Australia.

Manchester by the Sea: Critics are calling this film Casey Affleck’s “best work ever”

Moonlight: In preparation for her role, Naomie Harris watched interviews of those with addiction to crack cocaine, and met with addicted women. She related her experiences of bullying to the addicts’ attempts of escaping trauma.

While we wait to see which film snags the award this year, we thought we'd look back at the red carpet wonders of last year's Oscar awards. Scroll through our gallery above for our picks for best dressed!
