We often find ourselves thinking what would Veronika Heilbrunner do? when it comes to styling boyish beige boots. The German fashion editor, co- founder of hey-woman.com and streetstyle star is renowned for wearing hers come snow, rain or shine and the subversive cool of her unexpected shoe of choice is very evident in her must-follow instagram feed. Chunky and lace-up, they look insanely comfortable- compared to the heels her colleagues are sporting- and add few inches to her modelesque frame. What we’ve learnt by scrolling through is that as casual as these boots may seem, they’ll work wonders with a sequin mini dress on the red carpet too: just like Heilbrunner wore them for the Fashion Awards 2017 back in December. She rarely teams them just with jeans, interestingly enough; and usually veers from pretty dresses to knockout trousers looks making these beige boots her signature touch.

The best thing about Heilbrunner’s boot obsession is that she’s not picky about brands. Timberland’s cult Radford boots are one of her go-tos, banish any thoughts of JLo’s heeled pairs our of your mind, and won’t break the bank. If you’ll willing to spend a little more, Acne and Altuzarra are designer brands she’s stepped out in. Then wear them with everything in your wardrobe- the blonde’s even worn hers with black tights which we weren’t feeling until we saw it on her.

Check out Heilbrunner’s best booted looks above and then shop our edit of the best boyish beige pairs available now.

All white is becoming one of the biggest trends of 2018. White tuxedos, all-white outfits and now all-white shoes. White boots were under the spotlight for the Fall Winter season, and now this season white sandals and white heels are the star. It’s just like red heels, yellow shoes, yet it’s white. It’s like black, it goes with everything. So why not opt for a white shoe instead of your regular black one! #white #shoes #heels #streetstyle #style #fashion #trend

Women’s tuxedos are one of my favourite outfits in fashion. Helmut Newton’s Le Smoking photograph with Yves Saint Laurent’s tuxedo started this trend. We’ve come a long way from being banned to wear tuxedos in fancy restaurants. To be honest, women carry tuxedos way better than men. Women’s sexiness combined with masculine cuts is something a tuxedo does in one touch. I love to style a black tuxedo without wearing anything inside the blazer with layered necklaces. Opt for bright coloured heels, especially red, to spark up your outfit. Swap your party dress with a tuxedo for a change, you’ll love it. #tuxedo #tux #masculinity #feminine #lesmoking #smokin #yvessaintlaurent #saintlaurent

This season heels are everywhere. Block heels, curvy heels, asymmetric heels. In 2018, heels are in all styles you ever wanted. But one of the most eye-catching ones are the curvy heels. Throwing back to the old but gold ages, these heels will give you the ultimate nostalgic feel. It’ll just add dimension to your outfit with a small touch. Walk that walk with these trendy heels because these are about to be big! #heels #curvyheels #shoes #trend #style #streetstyle #fashion #nostalgic

Elementary school memories are right infront of us. Wearing dark coloured shoes are not that trendy anymore. Crayola colours are the thing now! Bright reds, sunny yellows, tangy oranges… You name it! Everything is bright and happy. Make a fashion statement with your heels. Make your shoes pop. Make your shoes the star of your outfit. Shoes are something women cannot ever stop buying. So this season you can buy the cutest shoes ever! #shoes #heels #crayola #trend #style #streetstyle

I find that glittery boots are really the right glam and fun touch for winter outfits. You can pop up a pair on your feet, and you immediately are going to be the talk of the day. Glittery heels are okay too, but boots really take the prize this Winter Season. Photo Credit: @whowhatwear on Twitter #winter #fashion #boots #trend

We would like to have the Carrie Bradshaw power and be able to kick the whole city up and down perched on a heel of 15 centimetres. But that requires practice, skill and a few feet bombproof. Do not give up the heights, but let's start with something more affordable: these comfortable high-heeled shoes.Credits: Pinterest

As we're clearly in award season mode we thought it would be the best time to get inspired for the ultimate black tie looks! During this year's Golden Globes the actresses made both a political and fashion statement by sporting black on the red carpet. All guests were encouraged to go for black in solidarity with the Time's Up movement, that calls for change by 300 women in film, television and theatre against sexual assault, harassment and inequality.

The black colour was also intended to stop reporters from asking the "who are you wearing" question. And even if their "act of rebellion" lost the point in the terms that the colour doesn't define the dress, and men do get asked that question too. The end result was an array of black gowns and the race for who wore it best was still on.

If you want to play it "safe" then a black ensemble is all you need. Pair it with high stiletto pumps, a cute clutch, red lip and pulled back hair.

Go for a sleek pantsuit and leave the bra at home (just be careful of styling for a enviable and safe result). Add your fave heels a cross body bag and a great piece of jewellery for effect.

Opt a dose of romanticism by wearing a tutu skirt dress with sandals a tiny clutch bag and some sleek makeup.

For a vavavoom effect go for a long silk slip dress in a daring red, elegant black or sleek grey and pair with with sling backs a tiny 90s hand bag and a great hair piece.
