So you have just signed up for many workout classes that are located at a convenient distance from your flat or office. Thankfully, workouts have evolved into a fun experience far from the tedious repetition of the coventional gym. From a zumba class, to ballet and barrecore, HIIT training or Hot Yoga, there's definitely a class for you.

If you're making the effort to join your nearest gym or dance class you may as well look stylish while breaking a sweat. After figuring out your special athletic gear, including your sports bra leggings and trainers it's time for gym bag research. In this case, you will want to invest in a bag that is both chic and practical. Focus on styles with different compartments for shoes, makeup kit, fresh change of clothes and valuables. Multiple straps are also great if you want to carry your bag on your shoulder or by hand. And a little tip before you sign up for every single workout class close to your apartment or office why not prioritise the workouts that actually make you happy and that you're more likely to follow all year long?

Moving from office to the gym and bag means that you have to do it in style. And though a tiny bag might be appealing (thank you Kendall Jenner!) might not be practical for you. If you have a locker at the gym feel free to sport a fanny pack or tiny bag. It will actually save you the trouble of carrying your bag from the office or at least you can sport it to after gym drinks with ease. On the other hand, you can also go for a more classic choice of an oversized duffle bag where you can store your energy drink, protein bar, towels and a clean set of clothes. There, you're all workout ready!

If waking up early means hitting the gym to sweat it out or going out for a run, then chances are you're a fitness freak. We understand that for gym freak, staying healthy and fit is the most important thing; and if their routine is broken, serious trouble is to be foreseen. We also understand that there are a few things you just can't (or shouldn't) hit the gym without.

A good gym bag
A good bag is carrier of all necessary things from keys to a shaker. If you're a gym fanatic, you know how important a gym bag can be. Investing in a steady gym bag can save you time and effort to keep buying new ones every now and then.

Gloves!
Love lifting weights but hate what it does to your delicate skin? No one likes to shake hands with people with a thick skinned palm and if you know how that feels, it's only ideal to own a pair of rough and tough gloves. Not only do they keep your skin from thickening, they also help you get a grip on those iron rods.

A good pair of sneakers
This goes without saying! A good pair of sneakers can go a long, long way. And we have curated a list of our fave ones that you should consider buying if you're already looking at some options.

Man leggings!
Yes, these are a thing. If you wear shorts to the gym and sweat so much, that you can feel beads of sweat trickling down your thigh, then these are perfect for you. Wear them underneath your shorts and thank us later!

Tracksuits
But if you're not a shorts person and wear track pants to the gym and love working out in ganjis, then why not invest in a good tracksuit? You can take off your jacket and put it back on when you're leaving the gym. Not only will it cover your sweaty tank-tee but also save you from changing clothes in the crowded changing rooms. Yes? Yes!

I don't know about you, but I feel the need for a treat right now. We're midway through June and have battled more rain, thunder and lightening than is decent for a summer month!

With this in mind, and ahead of payday next week (I hear you, I'm broke too) here's 6 things to buy this Friday, which won't break the bank and give you that much needed fashion fix to tide you over.

If you're one of the 90,000 + people currently on The Body Coach's 90 says SSS plan, then firstly let me applaud you!

It's damn hard work (I should know) but also pretty rewarding when you see the results, in part down to something called HIIT, and no- it's not venting your frustration on some unsuspecting person because you have given up chocolate!

It actually stands for 'High Intensity Interval Training'. In layman terms that means working out in short bursts (normally 30 seconds) giving literally everything you have, followed by a 45 second rest. You then repeat this between 12-15 times.

The bonus of doing your exercise this way is that you aren't spending hours at the gym, the treadmill actually becomes bearable and drum roll please... you will burn fat hours after finishing training.

Yes, really.  20 mins is all you need and you will smash it, as The Body Coach spends many hours telling his followers.

So if you're one of the many people dreading the start of swimwear season, why not give HIIT a go? Get yourself kitted out in style with our top sports picks below and start burning that fat today!

Not often the first body part that springs to mind when planning your workouts, your back is most definitely key to strengthening and improving your posture. Plus, who doesn't want to flaunt a sculpted, sexy upper back?

All you need to do is follow these handy tips...

1) Do dumbbell shoulder shrugs. Standing with your feet apart and knees slightly bent, keep your arms at your sides with a dumbbell in each hand (palms facing inwards). Keeping your stomach tight, gently shrug your shoulder up to your ears but keep your elbows straight! Hold for 3 counts then repeat for 10 reps.

2) Targeting your lower back, The Cobra is a strengthening exercise like no other. Lying face down on the floor with your arms at your sides (palms DOWN), lift your chest and legs simultaneously off the ground - hold for 3 counts again and repeat for 10 reps! Keep your glutes and abs tight as you do these.

3) Do pullups. Avoid bending your hips or knees as you do these and try to extend your arms all the way down at the bottom of each movement; otherwise, you'll have cheated and only done HALF a pull-up...

4) If you suffer from lower back pain, stretch out the muscles around the lower spine by lying on your back and pulling your legs off the ground and towards your chest. Hold each stretch for half a minute and repeat 5 - 10 times as often as you can.

5) Exercise your back 3 times a week on alternating days for best results.
