Bored of your old jeans but don’t wanna toss them out? You don’t have to! Simply turn them into a fun Saturday afternoon project and revamp them for a brand new, super fun look.

Here are a few things you can do to spice up your old denim into something different:

1. Bleach ‘em!
Fill a large bucket about 3/4th to the top, and add 3 cups of bleach to it. Soak your jeans in the bucket. Keep checking on them to see how they’re turning out, so you can take them out when you like how they look. Bleach up to three times to turn them completely white!

2. Add some edge with splatters of paint
Get some fabric paint and gloves, and go ham on your jeans by splattering paint on them! (Don’t forget to lay down some newspaper so that you don’t go ham on your furniture too.)

3. Turn them into adorable frayed shorts
With summer around the corner, it’s the perfect time to cut up your jeans into a cute pair of shorts. Simply use a pair of scissors to cut them as short as you like, then toss them into a washing machine to fray the edges. If you’re feeling extra daring, use a blade to make some horizontal rips below the pockets before washing!

4. Distress them
Create a pair of uber-chic distressed denims at home. Make horizontal slits along the legs of your jeans, and then use a pair of tweezers to pull out the dark blue threads. Sandpaper some patches of the jeans to add to the look.

5. Add some understated bling with studs Buy small metal studs from any craft store, and use a glue gun or FeviKwik to glue studs into the patches between the waist of the jeans and the edge of the pockets. Instant bling!

Frayed denim can be a tricky item to pull off, but with our tips, you'll stay stylish! If you're feeling unsure about this trend in denim, stay away from the frayed daisy dukes that cross the line from cute to dated. And if you're wondering how can you rock denim in the Winter, we can show you how!

Recently, with the denim trend picking up this season, from cropped denim jackets, to ripped skinny jeans, more and more denim styles have surfaced and seen on celebs, models, and bloggers. Try the latest iterations of frayed denim in midi dresses, raw-hemmed layered designer skirts, and jackets with frayed pocket details.

Just when you think there couldn’t be a new style in denim, there is. Cropped. Flared. Frayed. Jeans.

That’s right, 3 trends in one pair of denim and it never looked so good. When you read these three trends on paper it sounds like overkill but seeing them styled right, makes you want a pair of your own.

Celebs like Chloe Sevigny and Emma Roberts have sported the new trend and convincing me with each look that I need these jeans. I like how they lengthen your body because of their cropped nature but have an added texture and grittyness with the frayed ends.

The flares make them modern as a tight cropped jean would be more along the lines of a ‘50s petal pusher. This trend is going to be BIG for 2016 and I’m excited to see all the outfits with these jeans involved.

Cut-offs are THE go-to item of the Summer. They make for the best blank canvas for you to dress them up however your little heart desires and they never look the same because of it.

They're also a great way to keep cool during those heat waves while showing off those stems you've been working so hard in the gym for. Here's a list of the current cut-offs I'm coveting.
