The incredible costumes in 'Black Panther' exceeded our wildest expectations, and so has Lupita Nyong’o 's style in her most recent appearances. Yet again. Because the Kenyan-Mexican actress, who plays Nakia in the groundbreaking movie, first marked herself out as a red carpet fashion superstar on her way to winning her Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ’12 Years A Slave.’ And to promote her most high profile film since, she’s wowed at every turn. There was the floaty purple gown anchored with a jewelled harness she twirled in at the New York premiere; the low cut, high slitted black gown dusted in silver that she wore for the London one; and our favourite look of the lot? The brown Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore at a New York screening of the film earlier this week. This was Nyong’o’s take on nude and she looked like a dream- with the corset bodice and all-over ruching defining her curves. Shimmering metallic earrings, heels and a clutch were the finishing touches. The actress has been flexing her sartorial muscles off the red carpet as well by rocking a on-point blue pencil skirt look at the AW18 Calvin Klein show; and also made the case for double patent by wearing a shiny black trench and matching trousers together on the street. Massive props to her stylist Micaela Erlanger as well.

We don’t think we’re exaggerating to say that Nyong’o’s gorgeous make-up and head-turning hairstyles take her already stunning outfits to another level. Seemingly picking up where the film’s hair department head Camilla Friend left off, the actress has teased her natural hair into a towering twisted top knot, a fluffy high ponytail, sculptural puffs and more in recent works. What wonderful expressions of black beauty! We can't wait to see what she wears next.

Check out Nyong'o's amazing recent looks in the gallery above and then shop our expert fashion and beauty edits below.

Just when you thought your awesome winter coat couldn’t be one-upped, ask yourself this: is it reversible? If so, you’ve got two of them for the price of one and much more bang for your buck this winter. By simply turning it inside out, you’ve doubled your wardrobe options instantly and there’s little chance of getting bored with your outerwear as the mercury continues to drop. And we’ve noticed that there tends to be a more muted, classic side and then a bolder, statement-making side for when you want to be the centre of attention.

Right, so which one to choose? Choosing a reversible coat is a great to half-commit to a trend you know will pass or you’re not really sure about. There are such wonderful contrasts between the two sides: fluffy and smooth, patterned and plain, bright and neutral and more allowing them to be dressed up and down to taste. These special styles are available for both women and men in almost every coat type- trench, quilted, shearling, waterproof included- so there’s no excuse not to try this trend.

Shop the best ones we’ve seen for women and men below.

It is literally ice cold! I’m freezing almost all of the time… Yet, I found the perfect solution to push away the cold and welcome the warm and fuzzy feeling even when then wind is blowing right through my face. Fluffy coats, especially the oversize ones are perfect to keep you warm in this unbelievable season. Opt for a massive one to wear many layers underneath. I bought a black one to wear it with everything. And one of the greatest things about these fluffy coats are that it can double as a fur coat. I tried wearing these in an evening and everyone thought I was wearing some kind of soft faux fur! #fur #fauzfur #fluffy #fuzzy #cold #coat #warm #layer #winter

There’s few things worse wardrobe-wise than splashing out on a snazzy winter coat, loving the shape and fit, then realising it offers very little protection against the cold. When you wear it, the biting wind rips straight through you as if the coat wasn’t there; sometimes even faux fur isn’t as warming as it looks. And while layers are the obvious solution, you’d rather freeze than spoil the lines with a bulky knit. Us too which is why the gilet is your saving grace.

Essentially an insulating waistcoat, the gilet is sleeveless and ready to be worn under and over said coat. Quilted, puffa, shearling and more- you can choose how lightweight and streamlined you’d like yours to be in relation. If you don’t want anyone to know it’s there, keep it clean and smooth underneath so everyone’s still admiring your outerwear. But if you’d like to push your coat into warm, trophy territory, a fluffy gilet on top is a detachable, statement-making addition.

Purists are an eclectic bunch. They don't necessarily side with the opinion of minimalists where you may not even be able to buy them a Xmas gift (they won't accept it), but they share an affinity for simple, quality items that bring value to their life without cluttering it. If you're going for clothing opt for a muted colour palette of whites, cremes, pastel colours and uncomplicated silhouettes. Think of a wardrobe similar to Jennifer Lopez's all-white ensemble in the movie "Maid in Manhattan". A lush white coat, white trousers and a chic rollneck pair them with a beaded bag that is turning heads lately.

For a truly beautiful winter outfit, you can get them a beautiful shearling coat a fluffy scarf, an elegant hat and leather gloves. Mansur Gavriel AW17 and Chanel Resort 2018 are your go-to collections for purist inspiration in style and aesthetic. The purist looks for an uncomplicated life and that includes life at home. You can gift them a pair of sleek petite speakers or elegant pc accessories that are both stylish and practical. Believe us, the purist will be pleased.

Old woman syndrome, hibernation, call it what you will. There are some people who won’t be prised from the cozy confines of their home at any age or temperature. For them, nights in and duvet day weekends are the dream and they’ll only venture out in extreme circumstances like work. And with house prices sky-high for renters and buyers alike, in London particularly, surely you can forgive your friends and family for nesting and making the most of their haven. It’s their pride and joy after all and they’ve worked hard for it. Any gift that improves a homebody's sacred time will be a winner.

Lounge wear- from cashmere tracksuits and silky pyjamas to fluffy dressing gowns and sheepskin-lined slippers- is a good place to start provided you know what size they are. A blanket or sofa throw they can snuggle up under while watching a movie or reading a book is nice too and you’ll get extra kudos if you monogram them or provide the reading material. Hot water bottles are more thoughtful than you think if they get particularly cold come winter and the covers are delightful.

You can also simply say that faux fur, and fluffy items are the perfect winter accessory to stay cosy and chic.
