Morocco has long been known for its beautiful rugs, and thousands of years on, we have to admit they’re still our favourites.

We’re particularly obsessed with the Moroccan Berber Rug. Usually fluffy heavy white or cream with geometric patterns, it is THE statement rug you were looking to add to your living room.

It’s rare to find a home article that is both minimalist and cosy, but this rug really hits the spot. It instantly bring brightness to a room all the while guaranteeing all the softness you could ask for to sink your feet into it when you get home…

In fact, this stylish rug is one the few antique pieces that fits a contemporary home perfectly, adding a subtle touch of luxury to its environment.

Weather in the UK can be pretty unpredictable, and the transition from Winter to Spring is particularly tough. One day it’s freezing, the other it feels like you’re walking around the streets of New York City in July. The key to navigating this ever-changing weather is of course to invest in the right jacket. You’ll need something that works just as well with a fluffy warm jumper than with a simple t-shirt when it gets warmer so scroll down and shop our picks of this season’s best in-between weather jackets.

Makeup is a huge rage on social media now, and seeing hundreds of beauty YouTubers and Instagrammers recommending scores of products can definitely be overwhelming if you're a beginner to the beauty world. So we decided to put together a makeup guide specially for beginners! Here are all the essentials you need. (We have them all in our edit below for you to buy!)

Base
A flawless base is the beginning of a great makeup look, so make sure to pay attention to it. The first step towards this is to clean and moisturise your face, and then put on a primer. Your skin type is an important factor in choosing what kind of base to use.

If your skin is oily, opt for a powder foundation or a liquid foundation with a matte finish. For dry to combo skin, choose a liquid foundation with a dewy finish.

Normal skin looks great with mousse foundation.

For daily use, BB cream is a good lighter alternative to foundation.

To apply liquid foundation, use a dense flat-top brush for full coverage or a damp sponge for natural coverage. If you are using a liquid foundation, it is important to set it with powder. But in order to avoid it looking cakey, don't set it with a powder foundation—use a translucent powder. Powder should be applied with a large fluffy powder brush.

Blush and Bronzer
Adding blush to your cheeks and bronzer on the hollows of your cheeks and the perimeters of your face help to give dimension so that your foundation doesn't make your face look totally flat. Plus, it gives you a nice, sun-kissed look! So make sure not to skimp out on these. Blush and bronzer go on best with a brush that is large, fluffy, and angled.

Eyeliner
Liquid eyeliner can be quite intimidating even to someone experienced with makeup, so don't insist on using it if you're not confident with it. Instead, use a soft kajal liner in a colour of your choice to line your lashline, and smudge it out slightly with a small eyeshadow brush. This will give a sultry and pretty look to your eyes.

Mascara
Mascara is a must! It helps open up your eyes and make your lashes look good. Choose any mascara you like.

Eyebrows
Eyebrows, though often overlooked by non-professionals, can add a lot to your face if filled in properly. As a beginner, your best bet is an eyebrow powder, as it is quite forgiving and gives a natural finish. Use it with a flat, angled brush, and blend out with an eyebrow brush.

Lipstick
Nudes and light pinks are good for day-to-day wear, and reds, plums, and bright pinks are good for more fancy occasions. To ensure a perfect application of lipstick, make sure to apply lip balm first.

Oh my gosh, I love this coat!

Makeup has the power to make us feel put-together and more beautiful than we already are, which is why we love it! But sometimes, even expensive cosmetics can't quite help us to get the effect we desire. These tips and tricks will help you get the most out of your makeup!

Use an opaque eyeshadow base for popping colours
Even the best eyeshadow won't perform to its fullest potential without a good base. For bright colours, use a white base. For deeper shades, use a black one. You need not go out and buy an expensive eyeshadow base either—simply use gel liner or kajal, and blend it out with a flat brush!

Baby powder = fluffier lashes
Add a little baby powder to your lashes between two coats of mascara to make your lashes look super plump!

Make any lipstick matte with translucent powder
Do you have a lipstick whose colour you love but hate that it's too creamy/glossy or doesn't last long enough? No worries. After you apply the lipstick, place a thin sheet of tissue paper on your lips, and put translucent powder over it on to your lips, using a fluffy powder brush.

Use tape to get the perfect winged liner
Winger liner can be hard no matter how good you are at makeup! But you never need to fret about your wings being uneven if you simply have some tape on hand. Simply apply it to the corners of your eyes carefully, and use the tape as a guideline for the perfect wing! Just remember to stick and unstick the tape a few times on the back of your hand before using it, so that it's not too sticky.

Who doesn't love big hair?! We don't know about you, but we're all about that volume.

But we know that the monsoon and heat can get you down, so here are our best tips to get your hair fluffy and gorgeous!

Make sure it's clean
This one's a no-brainer—oily hair will always look weighed down and limp. Use a volumising shampoo and conditoner This is the first step in your haircare routine towards getting a fluffy mane!

Use a sea salt texturising spray
These sprays are a great way to add texture and volume to freshly washed hair. Simply spritz it into your damp hair, and style as usual.

Day 3 hair? Use baby powder or dry shampoo
Sometimes (more than just "sometimes", actually...we know how it is!), you're on day 3 after having washed your hair, which means your hair probably doesn't want to cooperate when you want to get it voluminous. Use dry shampoo or baby powder to soak up those extra oils as a temporary fix. Don't use too much product While there are amazing products out there (like the ones we mentioned above) that can help you get a voluminous mane, the key is to not use too much. Otherwise, your efforts will prove counterproductive, as the excess product will weight your hair down.

Back-comb/tease your hair
Simply take locks of hair, and comb them backwards with a fine-toothed comb. Instant volume!
