Indoor Plants are the new home trend everybody is crazy about, but many people don’t know that they have a ton of benefits aside from looking great. So, if you needed a few extra reasons to decorate your home with plants, read-on and you’ll find out why it’s definitely a good idea.

Plants help with breathing

Plants absorb carbone dioxide and release oxygen, the opposite of what humans do when breathing, making them great partners. But it’s important to remember that this process reverses at night, when plants absorbe oxygen and release carbon dioxide. So, unless you go for orchids, succulents or epiphytic bromeliads which never release any carbon dioxide, keep them in your living room and away from your bedroom.

They Purify the Air

Plants remove toxins from the air. In fact, according to NASA research, they can get rid of up to 87% of volatile organic compounds every day.

They Release Moisture

Plants naturally release moisture which increases the humidity of the air around them. This has been shown to decrease dry skin among other things, meaning you can finally cut down on moisturiser.

They Improve Health

Many studies have shown that plants help sick patients heal faster, but also decrease fatigue, colds, headaches, coughs, sore throats and flu-like symptoms. So now you finally know why bringing plants to ill people is such a thing.

They Sharpen Focus

Studies have shown that having plants indoors makes you more attentive and increases memory retention by up to 20 percent. So if you’re looking to increase your productivity, all you need to do is buy yourself a plant.

You may have seen a few people with their coats shrugged off their shoulders looking like they didn’t anticipate the weather properly. But don’t be fooled, this is in fact a brand-new trend called “shrobing” which is taking the fashion world by storm.

The look was first created by Demna Gvasalia, the Creative Director of Balenciaga, at the fashion label’s show in March last year but has recently been spotted among many of the best street style snaps.

We’ll give you some pointers on how to adopt it yourself.

First, you must find the right kind of coat by making sure its fabric is fluid enough to give the wanted effect. Then, once you have picked your coat and have slightly shrugged it off your shoulder, you should be aware of the fact that you won’t be able to move around much. We’ll admit it’s not the most comfortable trend…

You obviously won’t be able to wear a shoulder bag but don’t worry, you can wear a crossbody bag underneath your coat.

Lastly, you might be a little cold so try to only wear the trend in mild temperatures or, if you’re keen on braving the cold, make sure your neck is covered. This may seem like a lot to think about but just take a look at the styles in our gallery and you’ll realise it’s all worth it. Besides, everybody knows fashion is hard work.

So, what are you waiting for? Scroll down to pick a coat and start wearing the trend while it’s still hot!

Meryl Streep is undoubtedly one of the best actresses in Hollywood today. But she is brains, beauty, and bodaciousness rolled into one, even off the screen.

At Sunday's Golden Globes, she received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for “Outstanding Contributions to the world of Entertainment," and gave the speech of a lifetime (which you can watch in our gallery above). We think that she's phenomenal, which is why she is our choice for Woman Crush Wednesday! Below are some of her most inspirational quotes from over the years, that we think can provoke thoughts towards changing the world. Read on for some brain food!

1) "Everything we say signifies; everything counts, that we put out into the world. It impacts on kids, it impacts on the zeitgeist of the time."

2) "You can’t get spoiled if you do your own ironing."

3) "Disrespect invites disrespect, violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose."

4) "Integrate what you believe in every single area of your life. Take your heart to work and ask the most and best of everybody else, too."

5) “Fear is a good thing. Fear is your friend. Everything that destabilizes you can help you. They taught us that in drama school. If you’re comfortable, you’re not doing your job. Most actors are constitutionally insecure. It’s sort of necessary.”

The 2017 Grammy nominations are out! As the biggest music awards show of the year, the Grammys are a who's-who of the music world - and their fabulous outfits! 25 million viewers across the country tune in to see the glamorous show.

The albums competing for "Album of the Year" are: 25 by Adele, Lemonade by Beyonce, Purpose by Justin Bieber, Views by Drake, and A Sailor's Guide to Earth by Sturgill Simpson. Although the winners aren't announced until the show on February 12th, everybody has their theories on who's going to win! A poll by Variety showed that fans, at least, overwhelmingly predict Lemonade as the clear winner.

Music bloggers are also predicting that Bey will take home "Record of the Year" for Formation, but that Adele will win "Song of the Year" for "Hello". It's far from a sure thing, though, because sales of Adele's 25 have been through the roof, and Drake has been working hard this year too! Unsurprisingly, Beyonce was the most popular musician this year, nabbing a whopping 9 nominations (that is why she's Queen Bey, after all). Rihanna wasn't far behind her with 8, then Drake with 7, and Kanye with 6. Adele had 5 nominations between her two albums, but has also been the recipient of countless music awards internationally. Bey's been dominating the Grammys for nearly two decades, though, so it will be interesting to watch them go toe-to-toe! One big change this year resulted from a rule change: now, streaming music is eligible for nominations.

The president of the Recording Academy issued this statement about it: "We never want to be in position where music that deserves to be in the mix is usurped by some technicality in the process. The evaluation and judgment of our voting members is always about the music and excellence, not at all about sales or marketing or technology." Because of this change, Chance the Rapper got several nominations for his debut (streaming) album, "Coloring Book," delighting his fans.

But what's missing from this year's Grammys? A few omissions have left fans talking. There was no Best Album nomination for David Bowie, who passed away this year, for his 2016 album Blackstar - although it nabbed nominations for Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rock Performance, and Best Rock Song. In fact, Bowie has only won 2 Grammys over the course of his decades-long career. "Hotline Bling" by Drake was nominated for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Performance, but not for the obvious "Best Video," even after the music video went viral. And worst of all, the album Blonde by fan favorite Frank Ocean did not receive so much as a single nomination.

Frank Ocean is beloved by many, including Kanye West, who announced this year that he would boycott the Grammys if Ocean was not nominated. Only time will tell if he follows through, especially since he got quite a few nominations himself.

Ashley Graham has been making waves in the modelling industry the past few years, and not just in the plus-size section! After her big break in 2009 for a body-positivity spread in Glamour, Ashley was chosen for a Lane Bryant commercial.

The commercial was deemed 'too sexual' to be aired by Fox because of Ashley's bust, leading Lane Bryant to point out a double-standard for plus-size ladies: the spot was completely tame compared to many other lingerie commercials (Victoria's Secret, we're looking at you!) Since then, Ashley has scored spots in Sports Illustrated, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, and Bust Magazine. She's done advertisements for Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Hanes, Nordstrom, Target, Evans, and Addition Elle.

She's spoken out about body acceptance, including speeches at high schools. And this January, she snagged her best gig yet: the cover of Vogue! According to Vogue Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Shulman, Vogue chose Ashley not only for her modelling skills, but for her personality as well. She's opinionated and articulate, and has an energy that can't help but affect everybody around her.

Shulman got Ashley to open up in her interview, where she lays it all out on the line. Ashley talks size, beauty, persistence and getting what you want, and how to be invited back as a model. “For 10 years I’d been told I was always going to be a catalogue girl, never a cover girl. Well, I got with IMG and did five covers in a year, boom, boom, boom."

Ashley also spoke candidly about her size, something that's always been a discussion around her work. "Do I sometimes wish I were thinner? God, in the old days, absolutely I did, but now I feel that to lose weight would be disloyal to myself," she explained. "A lot of who I am is connected to my size, and I am so happy with who I am.”

Whether she stays at the same weight, or gains or loses weight, Ashley is a fabulous model who's showing us all how to be a little more comfortable in our own skins. In a changing world, Ashley is helping to overturn the standard definition of what a model is supposed to look like. "My body is MY body," she penned earlier in an open letter to designers, asking them to create their clothing in larger sizes, "I call the shots."

1. Bring several bottles of wine.

Just can't listen to your father-in-law drone on about his boring job anymore? Good old alcohol, the oldest trick in the book, will help you not to go crazy. Whether you like wine, vodka, whiskey, or beer, bring something that you'll want to drink later. Be careful, though! Don't go overboard on the liquor, or you may find yourself in a regrettable shouting match.

2. Invite a Buffer Zone Friend.

You know that your parents are on their best behavior in front of guests, so bring along a platonic friend to keep them in check! You better make sure that your friend knows what they're potentially in for, though, or your friend will later be shooting you death glares as your mom grills her about her love life.

3. Do Conversation Gymnastics.

When your weird, racist uncle says he's excited for Trump to get into office, and you don't want to engage with him, tell him what's much more exciting is that you're going to get into the mashed potatoes. When he says Hillary Clinton should be executed, tell him a million turkey executions is enough for one day. When he says that 9/11 was faked, ask him loudly if he would like some pumpkin pie, and stare at him pointedly until he gets the hint.

4. Assign Seating Arrangements.

That's right, sometimes you have to resort to this old teacher's trick. If two people simply cannot get along, place them at opposite ends of the table. If you know you won't be able to have a conversation with your grandpa without ripping his head off, seat him far away from you. If you have kids, or little relatives like cousins, nieces or nephews, ask them to make the place-cards. Then, everybody will love their handwritten assigned seat!

5. Take a Walk. If you feel yourself hitting the limit of what you can tolerate, it is perfectly OK to excuse yourself. Go for a walk around the block, or, if it's too cold outside, just let your fam know that you're feeling stressed out and that you're going to another room to cool down. Remove yourself from the situation and do something relaxing until you're feeling ready to engage again.

6. Play Defense.

If you have a relative who always asks invasive questions, prepare your own nosy questions about their life. Ask them if their son's still on academic probation, or how they got that new dent in their bumper. Hopefully they'll get the hint and finally stop asking you when you're going to get married!

7. Have A Couple Killer Topics Up Your Sleeve. Did you know that Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg just started a cooking show together? Or, ask your mom her opinions on the whole Brad and Angelina fiasco. Maybe you have a really good "Would You Rather?" in your repertoire. Whatever it is, come to dinner prepared with one really good conversation starter, and you'll have an easy out of a difficult conversation.

8. Do Engage!

If you feel up to it, task yourself with having a patient, calm conversation with a relative about your differing opinions. Listen to them, don't interrupt, then give a thoughtful rundown of your side. Tell them you really enjoyed hearing their perspective, and that you'll give their ideas further thought. Ask them to give your ideas some serious thought too, and to deeply evaluate their own beliefs.

9. Plan Some Time For Yourself.

Trust us, after a whole evening with your family, you'll need to de-stress, whatever that may mean to you. To some, it means spending Friday on the couch in pajamas with some tea and your favorite movies. To others, it means waking up early to get down to some serious online shopping done. Maybe it's a massage at the spa, or a facial. Whatever it is that floats your boat, you need to make time for it.

Kendall Jenner i.e the second youngest of the Kardashian bunch, supermodel, and part of the coolest girl gang turns 21 today! Happy birthday!

Although it makes our blood boil that Kenny is far cooler and more successful than we will ever be, at only 21, we can't hate her cus she's just so danm cute, chill and funny. Down to earth isn't a phrase used to describe the Kardashians, but this one is. Here are 5 times Kenny was wise beyond her years...

1)  "Don't judge someone's attitude until you've felt their pain."

2) "There are always going to be kids who are mean and say stuff, but the people that matter to you- the people you love like your parents, your siblings, your friends- those are the people you should listen to."

3) "One of the hardest things you'll ever have to do is stop loving somebody because they stopped loving you"

4) "What people don't understand is that calling someone too skinny is the same as calling someone too fat; it's not a nice feeling"

5) "You can't take anything personally in this business. Follow your dreams, but there is a lot of criticism. You have to brush it off. Everybody is looking for something different".
