A few days after she appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair proclaiming her love for her beau, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their first appearance together an an official event on the royal calendar (although they were forced to sit 18 seats apart due to royal protocol). The event was the opening of the Invictus Games in Toronto, Meghan's hometown. The Games, were created by Prince Harry and have been karmic to their relationship. They met for the first time last year when the royal was doing promotion in Canada.

The couple, has managed to keep a relatively low profile since they first started dating in July 2016. Later, Harry confirmed their relationship in November 2016, and made a plea to the social media trolls to stop the "wave of abuse and harassment" against Meghan.

Apart from Prince Harry, her charity work and being part of the very successful Suits cast for a few seasons now, Meghan Markle has an amazing sense of style: smart, eclectic and laid back. She can sport a pair of PVC leggings with a sweater and a white crisp shirt for afternoon drinks. In the daytime, we' ve seen her doing a very cool version of the double denim look, topped with ballerina pointy flats and a very hygge mohair trench coat. She also has a very modern take on business casual by pairing a matching grey blazer and shorts with sexy red pumps and duffle bag.

For a weekend day out you'll see her in black dungarees over a stripped shirt offset by red pumps while she looked absolutely stunning in a red ethereal long dress for a premiere in LA.

Browse through our gallery for more inspiration and see how you can recreate Meghan Markle's top rated looks below!

One of the biggest moments of Milan Fashion week was marked by the Spring/ Summer 2018 Versace show. Models Carla Bruni, Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Cambell strutted down the catwalk in gold floor-length gowns to pay homage to Donatella Versace's brother, Gianni Versace. They proved that beauty knows no age when great style and personality are thrown in the peculiar mix of supermodels.#222222">

The original 90s models walked the runway to celebrate the Versace brand and Gianni's legacy. At the end of the show, as the curtain was drawn, a voice announced " Gianni, this is for you", revealing the nineties icons and the George Michael track Freedom shortly followed as they walked down the catwalk. The collection featured classic baroque Versace prints as well as innovations, including a beautiful black dress with scooped neckline. The late Gianni Versace has been widely credited for the invention of the supermodel.

The 2018 show was also graced by the new faces in the millennial Supermodel generation including Kaia Gerber and Gigi Hadid. A refreshing view on fashion, the show demonstrated that age does not dictate style or beauty!

One of the oldest documented garments on record moving from the courtroom to the church, to the boxing ring and the boudoir the robe's fluidity is not only in form but also in purpose. More specifically, over the past few seasons, items that were originally meant for the bedroom (see: bralettes, slip dress, corset) is being incorporated in our everyday wardrobes.

Now we're moving forcefully into October, we need more transitional items that will take us through the multitude of fall phases, definitely through the warmer one. Robes are an excellent way to elevate any casual outfit without much effort and more style than a stale hoodie or blazer.

Pair it with a cool denim pair of trousers, or a skirt, or opt for the uber cool version of a floor length velvet robe and wear it over your favourite LBD with over the knee boots for the perfect going out look!

One of the strongest trends for SS17 that has well moved into this Fall is the check pattern and a very vast array of its variations: from small to bigger checks, plaids, houndstooth, and gingham the pattern will be embellishing our autumn/ winter outfits as it's proving to be one of this season's must-haves. It's a pattern statement that we've found across shirts, to tops, skirts, dresses and of course blazers. There's nothing more 70's and 80's chic than a smart check blazer channeling our inner working girl.

You can opt for a wonderful Stella Coat from MATCHESFASHION.com, a Prince of Wales blazer courtesy of Mango, or an incredibly versatile Jumpsuit from Topshop. You can find them in neutral hues and earthy tones that are complementary to most wardrobes and are insanely easy to match!

Pair a checked top with denim or suit trousers, and don your check jacket or coat over a sleek smart dress. Whatever your mood you're bound to make a statement!

Browse through our selection and take your pick below!

As we close on yet another brilliant London Fashion Week we round up the most fashionable, jaw dropping and exquisitely chic moments of the past few days. LFW which opened on Friday, has featured more than 100 designers and included high profile shows.

For example, it was the first time Giorgio Armani had staged a catwalk event in London for more than 10 years. The 83-year-old designer said he had chosen London "for its "dynamism, energy and cosmopolitanism".

Donatella Versace showcased her younger range, Versus, which featured plenty of checks, bikinis and cowgirl-themed pieces. It wouldn't be London Fashion Week without a bit of avant garde. Hussein Chalayan's models took to the catwalk in very unusual and surreal headdresses.

As usual, London Fashion week attracted the rich, famous and, of course, beautiful - model Daisy Lowe arrived wearing a blue kimono, accompanied by her much-loved pooch. But it hasn't been glamour all the way. Dozens of anti-fur protestors gathered ahead of shows including Burberry. Speaking of Burberry the check pattern is now back minus the cheesy associations of the early naughts. This was all due to the brilliant styling that infused a new feel to the brand: look out for mismatched earrings. Christopher Bailey also followed in the footsteps of Dior and curated an exhibition in conjunction with the show - opening the brand to a much wider audience.

#222222">On the other hand, designer Gareth Pugh’s creations were informed by the "inescapable forces of the cultural landscape" as he described them. Pugh's collection, took place at an old music hall in north London, to abide by the "ambiguous and troubling" overall feel.

#222222">One of the most anticipated collections was without a doubt came from Topshop that followed the see-now, buy-now principle allowing items to be directly shoppable immediately after the catwalk show, on Topshop.com. The show was a vintage Soho inspired extravaganza featuring old school coats, crystal details and wonderful metallics. British supermodel Jourdan Dunn closed Topshop's show in a barely-there chiffon maxi dress complete with the ubiquitous ruffles that have been a theme across the week. You can snap your own party girl look from £39, with the upper echelon reaching £395.

#222222">We couldn’t do a LFW round up without mentioning Molly Goddard who employed her usual orb dresses of smocked tulle in inky black and smocked cotton but this season she added a more slinky, conventionally sexy silhouette in orange, embellished with sequins while presenting a series of cotton bell-shaped dresses and skirts. Her real strength though relied on her unexpected styling. The models wore practical flat boots, black brogues or else went barefoot. The models hopped from one platform to the next while doing a series of poses from the peace sign to Eddie Campbell dragging ample amounts of cigarette smoke.

As much as we hate to admit the early 00's era of Paris Hilton in pink Juicy track suits, double denim x2 Justin and Britney, Christina Aguilera's dirty braided locks, oversized hoops and motorcross gear loving songstress Pink are all trending for 2017. Even though some of those trends especially worn in the early 00's period make us cringe slightly, incorporating a few items here with a 2017  approach will work wonders for your wardrobe this season!

Read on for the latest throwback staples of the season!

1. Velour Track Suit Ensemble

Before the rise of athleisure the velour tracksuit was a no-fail staple. Combined with an oversized bag, a Starbucks venti Latte and a miniature dog it was the celebrity uniform adorned by most starlets of the time. Many years after it's inevitable demise the velour tracksuit is having a come back. Vetement's collaboration with Juicy Couture for SS17 should have given us a hint. Kanye's YEEZY and Chloe are also adding this naughts staple into their collections. You can probably thank or cringe at Rihanna and Kylie Jenner for putting it back on the Insta Fash pack radar.

2. Trucker Cap

In the heyday of paparazzi and celebrity culture which was the early naughts they had to be accompanied by some much needed streetwear and paparazzi-proof attire. Black sunnies have always been favourable but headgear is also quite integral. For the early 00's that attire included the trucker cap. The ubiquitous accessory for every 20-something celebrity from Pharrell to Ashton Kutcher or Britney Spears. It was Hedi Slimane who resurfaced the the polarizing accessory for Saint Lauren's SS16 show. Nowadays, Gigi Hadid and Kylie and Kendall Jenner have all been spotted with the infamous cap.#2e2e2e">

3. Hot Pink

As fashion recycles every 20 years the early naughts adopted the early 80's trend of pastel pink. When it came to the early naughts Paris Hilton not only brought the flirty colour back but basically built her brand by sporting bold non apologetic fuchia-pink. Around the same time that Legally Blonde premiered by the way. And even though we have been drowning in pastel pink for the past few seasons you can attribute the rise of bold pink to Ballenciaga's SS17 collection. Just wondering when Paris Hilton's come back is due?

4. Motorcross Gear

The rise of early aughties hip-hop is undeniable and it quickly infused the fashion runways too. From Pharell Williams, to Pink, EVE, or Christina Aguilera's Dirrty video and most rappers of the time donning heavy leather tracksuits and jackets usually styled with braided hair and lots of 'bling' or 'bling-bling' if you're truly old - school. Nowadays, labels like Maison Margiela, Alyx Studio, Supreme and of course Rihanna's Fenty x Puma SS18 collection at NYFW are completely in racing-inspired gear mode.

5. Candy Coloured Sunglasses

Colorful sunglasses were everywhere in early 00's and adored by women and men equally. From Sisqo to Justin Timberlake Eve and the Olsen Twins (they've gone a long way we know), all 00's stars were sporting this trend. Nowadays you'll find the likes of Gigi Hadid and her entourage in similar rose coloured glasses.

6. Oversized Hoops

The oversized hoops are a symbol of RnB and Hip Hop music. From Lauren Hill, to Missy Elliot, and EVE it's the accessory that goes hand in hand with a bandana, baseball cap or sleek back pony tail. In the aughts the trend went more mainstream and was adored by many including Victoria Beckham. These days, you can see anyone from Kendall Jenner, to the Hadid sisters or Rihanna rocking those giant gold hoops from designers like Area or minimal ones from Lombardi and Nandi Naya.

7. Fishnets

We're not saying you should go full-on Avril Lavigne and "Hollaback Girl"-era Gwen Stefani, necessarily, but there's definitely something about this pop version of post punk fashion that us bubbling back up all over social media. Usually worn underneath low rise wide legged ripped jeans and peaking from the waist and calves. And of course, the fishnet top is a great way to add some interest under a slip dress—or just over a bandeau bra, for a fun flirty look.

8. Pointy slingback pumps

You can pinpoint this trend to the late 90's who resurfaced the super pointy kitten heel. It was in the early 00's though that the silhouette became more relaxed and transformed into a more elegant and feminine slingback pump with a mid-height lift. Doesn't Sophia Coppola's outfit look truly timeless?

There you have it! The eight 00's trends that are coming back in a major way. Which ones will you be sporting this season? Check out our exclusive edit of all the items that will give you that extra aughts edge!

Emma Stone is back in this year's anticipated film: Battle of The Sexes. Based on a true story and set in 1972, the movie highlights the topical gender pay gap, at a time when the United States Lawn Tennis Association had announced a new prize fund offering eight times less for women.

In the film, 29-year-old King is tired of the gender inequality in a sport where women were so shockingly deemed inferior as a means to justify the wage gap. This fuels her ambition to launch the Women's Tennis Association in order to provide an equal working space for women. This irritates most male players including ex-pro Bobby Riggs, played by Steve Carell, who challenges her to the most proficient test: a match or battle of the sexes which in his mind will prove that women are in fact inferior and thus deserve a lesser pay.

Apart from the women's issues and serious Oscar buzz, the film is filled with exquisite 70s fashion moments! Emma wears some amazing geek chic glasses throughout the film, with 70s flared jeans and a pink shirt. This week, the actress attended the premiere wearing a white Tom Ford dress with chain straps, white heels and a statement gold clutch bag. We've recreated a couple of Emma's looks below!

Battle of the Sexes will be released in the UK on 22 November.
