This is not a drill: new Mansur Gavriel styles have just landed on Mytheresa.com fresh off the runway. ‘See it, love it, buy it’ is usually how it goes with the New York based brand’s It bags and shoes but, as this is the first time their ready-to-wear will be stocked as well, we expect this drop to sell out pronto. There’s no doubt about it anymore, MG is taking over your wardrobe one colourfully minimal piece at a time, and has captured the hearts and wardrobes of stylish women worldwide. From a colour-blocked bucket bag to a full- blown offering of essential knitwear, boardroom-to-bar dresses and more, the now-cult brand’s clean and sophisticated aesthetic stays the same. Everything’s free from surface embellishment, bar their discrete logo, so the impeccable materials and craftsmanship can be admired in all their glory.

We can’t think of a better way to sample 2018’s sweet pastel trend than with Mansur Gavriel’s chic lemon, candy floss pink and lavender basics. Think smooth silk shirts and tops and you definitely won’t be missed in an elegantly sheer layered midi dress, which comes in traffic-stopping red as well as this delicious pink. And why buy another iconic leather bucket alone, available here in new colourways and sizes, when you could broaden your collection with a tote, circle crossbody or even a roomy travel bag in classic and contemporary tones. Let the array of suede, shearling lined, and heeled boots put the spring in your step and you’ll be itching to show off your pedicure in the open-toed mules and sandals as soon as the weather permits.

Check out the collection highlights in the gallery above then shop your favourite styles in the exciting edit below.

Double winner Dua Lipa, Jorja Smith, Maya Jama and Kylie all looked amazing at last night's Brit Awards. But we're now totally on board with the feather trim trend after loving the white feather details of Holly Willoughby,  Rita Ora and Adwoa Aboah’s red carpet looks. Miles away from the feather boas you may have worn to your last 1920s fancy dress party; they function as a whimsical, decadent addition to any style you can think of, fluttering gorgeously with movement. Dress trims, on coat cuffs, flourishing on shoes and bags, even basic tank tops as Miuccia Prada has chicly proved with paintbox bright plumes. Consider them a welcome respite from faux fur as well, more unusual and way less likely to make you the target of a PETA protest (there isn’t the same furore over ostrich feathers).

Obviously Willoughby, Ora and Aboah showcased how to dress these feather trims up, alongside white rose tributes that picked up where The Grammys left off. Add minimal or understated accessories and go is the key styling tip to note, to allow the feathers to be the focal point. The same thing works for during the day as these fancy details will instantly elevate an otherwise ordinary look. We’d also recommend sticking to one plumed piece at a time unless you want to veer into costume territory.

Shop the short sleeved version of Willoughby’s David Koma dress and our edit of buy-now feather pieces below.

Never mind the Balenciaga ‘Triple S’ trainers, which are sold out everywhere. Consider this: would your Dad actually wear them? Because that’s the criteria all so-called ‘Dad’ trainers (or even Grandpa trainers) should be judged by and we’re not sure that the streetstyle favourites previously mentioned fit the bill. After all, there’s nothing understated about them, they’re chunky, and truth be told,  they probably fit into the ‘ugly’ sneaker trend just as well. But besides the 80s and 90s nostalgia of them, they are undeniably comfortable and an delightfully subversive addition to a dress that will garner compliments.

So if your Dad won’t wear those, what will he wear? We’re imagining simple, and most importantly, unisex styles so you can give the phrase ‘Daddy’s girl’ a sartorial twist with a matching pair of your own. Like the ever popular Stan Smiths that Phoebe Philo chicly revived which were named after the male American tennis player of the same name; or the Gazelles creative types seem to wear uniformly in their favourite or most versatile colour. And speaking of versatility, a neutral colour palette will maximise wearability. And if your Dad, like mine, wouldn’t be seen dead in a pair of sneakers; wear the trend in his honour.

The blazer is one of my favourite basics, is simple, versatile and will never stop being fashionable. But this season I have seen a lot of blazer dresses, and I fell in love with them. It adds a touch more feminine and sensual to your look. Look at my gallery for more inspiration. Credits: Pinterest

Picking up where the Golden Globes left off with another black dress Time’s Up protest on the red carpet, actresses attending last night’s BAFTAs turned to statement jewellery to really set their looks off. More specifically earrings that glinted and sparkled under the glare of camera flashes and the eyes of the world. Diamonds were understandably popular- they are a girl’s best friend after all and if you can’t wear them on the red carpet, where else can you show them off with security nearby just in case? Angelina Jolie’s chandelier earrings were a departure from her usual understated style but they pushed her dress and classic make-up into dazzling territory.

A pop of green via gorgeous emerald stone settings were an unexpected alternative. Lead by the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge who wore a matching earrings and necklace set, Saoirse Ronan, Gemma Arterton and more put green jewellery back in the spotlight, a move Jennifer Lawerence cemented when she presented the first award of the night ‘Outstanding British Film’. We also saw great examples of chain link and dramatic black tassel earrings we’re itching to try out too.

To really hammer home their message of action and solidarity with women facing injustice and sexual harassment, actresses like Jolie and Naomie Harris brought female activists along as their dates. And Best Actress winner Frances McDormand utterly stole the show (no mean fest with Joanna Lumley as host) dead-panning her witty acceptance speech; and she pledged her support for her 'sisters in black', despite not completely complying with the dress code.

Shop the key earrings styles we saw in our edits below for your next formal event.

Do you like rings? ..and do you wear it on your fingers? I used to wear them almost all my fingers, but now? I don't wear a ring at all. I don't know why, these are very beautiful, elegant. I think a ring makes your daily outfit style more elegant and feminine. These accessories would be perfect for a unique occasion. You can wear a bigger one with an awesome stone for a breathtaking evening dress. If you don't like big rings, don't worry. You can find a solid ring for your working day.
