Whether you opt for '70s-inspired silk tassels or boho macramé, fringing is in and there's no denying it. Tipped to be a huge interiors trend for the coming seasons, this little detail pays homage to luxury vintage pads and cute beach houses alike.

The trick with fringe is not to overdo it. Artfully selecting a range of textured pieces can really boost a room's appeal and lend it a cool, eclectic edge but there are a few rules to follow.

Firstly, stick to a simple palette. Ensure your fringed pieces work as accents to the room and avoid massive colour clashes.

Secondly, less is more so opt for a fringed wall hanging, a few tactile fringed cushions or a textural rug but avoid going for all three in the same room.

Lastly, stick to a single look in each room. Love pink silk fringe? Work it with simple marble, copper and deep navy velvet. Into rustic artwork in neutral tones? Use it to offset a darker wall colour and pair it with similar natural fabrics like linen.

This Halloween you don't have to go all in if dressing up is really not your jam. Sure, some people will be making a lot of effort with their costumes but if you feel uncomfortable or a little too cool to be rocking fancy dress, rest assured that there are plenty of other options that mean you can still join in while preserving your style credentials.

Making your everyday attire a little spookier is really not that hard. From cute tees to goth-inspired accessories, there are plenty of on-trend pieces that mean you won't have to compromise your look.

Heading to a Halloween party this year? Opt for dramatic cat-eye liner, a cute tee and kitten ears. Or why not rock an ironic slogan tee to show you're into the vibe... but still way above it. Alternatively you could pay homage to '90s shows like Buffy, Charmed and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, or channel your inner Morticia Addams in head-to-toe black.

Things move quickly in fashion, every month there’s a new trend to dissect, a hot topic to discuss and a ton of rumours to dispel, but some things are harder to forget than others…

The must-have pieces we fall in love with and add to our wish lists here at SC become obsessions and they’re different for every member of the team.

This month we’re enjoying a lull after the frenzy of fashion week, giving us plenty of time to browse and shop for the pieces we’ve been lusting after of late.

October is obviously boot season and the team are head over heels for classic black ankle boots, on-trend white booties and of course, leopard and cheetah-print styles. Obviously some of us love our faithful flats so there are plenty of coveted designer sneakers on our list too.

Bags embrace classic black, fall tones and traditional silhouettes and jewelry is dainty and peppered with sparkling stars, diamonds and studs.

Printed jackets and cute boho dresses complete our fall fashion line-up and we’ve placed them all in an easy-to-shop edit below. Save your favourites, add them to your own wish list and browse our gallery for styling tips.

The runways at London Fashion Week didn't fail to dazzle, though that was largely due to the sheer scale of the accessories showcased for SS19. Chandelier earrings, glittering necklaces and heavily embellished bags featured across the board.

With the coming season's trends firmly established, we've rounded up a list of the pieces you'll be seeing everywhere and what to invest in now...

Pearls and gemstones

That's right, forget your dainty gold chains and simple cuff bracelets because maximalism is on its way and it'll be sticking around for a little while. Oversized pearl earrings and shoes and bags adorned with crystals a lá Gucci and Chanel are where it's at.

Tinted glasses

Big '70s style lenses were huge this summer and they'll continue to reign well into next year. Statement sunnies will be every shade of the rainbow with tinted lenses being one of the biggest accessories trends for the seasons ahead.

Granny bags

We've always loved a granny bag and now that it's perfectly acceptable, if not cool to rock a beaded bag or mini crochet number, we're digging our favourites out and stocking up on new handbag styles. If it's kitsch or cute, send it our way.
