CALVIN KLEIN's new collection has arrived, and now with Raf Simons at the helm, be prepared to invest in some iconic pieces from the legendary 1990s designers (?). Only a few days ago, we saw American beauty Kaia Gerber walking the Calvin SS18 catwalk in New York, and coincidentally the CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC first pieces have landed on Shopcade! :p>:p>

:p:p>

When Raf Simons took over CALVIN KLEIN for Fall 2017, he was commended by the fashion scene. The show garnered a star-studded front row including A$AP Rocky, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sofia Coppola. With a cinematic feel to the collection, David Bowie's lyrics “This is not America” opened the first show, and models graced the runway in Western shirts, cowboy boots, and Quaker-style oversized parkas. The Bowie lyrics from the show have been used to inspire SSENSE’s editorial shoot for the brand. The “wet” Editorial, shot and styled by Ana and Dank Steiner, also explains that the designer’s debut collection “does not ask to be defined. It is an alloy of work-wear, decadence, and functionality.” :p>:p>

:p:p>

The critically acclaimed Belgian designer has reinvented the all-American label and reinterpreted it to the modern America we know today, getting to the heart of the brand’s DNA.:p>:p>

:p:p>

The new ready-to-wear line celebrates the diversity of America, cohabiting cross cultures, and reflects the environments and the coming together of different characters and cultures. Renamed CALVIN KLEIN 05W39NYC, the clothes stick to the original CALVIN KLEIN aesthetic, are simple and minimal, with classic underwear and denim. Raf Simons mixes workwear with tailoring, western wear, and marching band uniforms, forming a parade and cross-section of America’s uniqueness. Innovative pieces include coats with plastic coated protection and varsity rib-knit sleeves severed from their sweaters.:p>:p>

:p:p>

Following SSENSE’s editorial, the Canadian retailer has launched a capsule collection of CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC pieces including purple knit sleeves, a grey & pink cropped colour block sweater, and a cool black leather biker jacket.:p>:p>

These days, everyone knows festivals are mainly an excuse to show off your coolest clothes and wear something a little riskier than usual, but that sets the bar pretty high and for some of us that makes it even harder to choose an outfit.

If that’s the case for you, we put together a few key looks to make sure you show up in style and get the best Instagram pics from your day there, so scroll down to find the one for you!

For those of you going to a muddy field festival, we recommend wearing boots and a backpack to avoid any damage so you can enjoy the music instead of focusing on your clothes getting dirty.

If your festival is in a dry grass field or a park, you can go for something more comfortable like trainers for a sporty look or a pair of vintage sneakers for a more edgy outfit!

If you’re lucky enough to be heading off to a beach or desert festival, then we recommend going for open shoes and flowy clothes to make sure you don’t die of heat.

And finally, if you’re going to a city festival, there are no strict rules, so you can go ahead and wear that cute new outfit that you just bought!

Now click though our gallery for inspiration and then shop your favorite looks below…

We’re becoming increasingly conscious of both our health and the environment, and this has produced a move towards more ethical products, whether it’s for food, clothes or even beauty products.

Because let’s face it, there’s just something about putting organic products on our face that makes us feel cleaner, not to mention leaving us with a better conscience.

But next time you proudly purchase an ‘organic’ face cream or blush, don’t blindly trust the label. In the UK, there are no regulations for qualifying products as organic which means that many companies are labelling their cosmetics as natural or organic without containing the slightest organic ingredient.

Lobbyists are actively fight this, but in the meantime, if you aren’t sure whether you’re buying an organically made product, check its label and look out for Cosmos, NaTrue and NSF-ANSI certified products. They are independent companies that verify the whole process and can be trusted.

And if you don't feel like waste time reading labels, we did the work for you so all you have to do is shop our list of truly organic beauty products below! You’re welcome.

There are many things you may have planned for this bank holiday weekend, but most of them probably didn’t take into consideration the constant rain. Luckily, we have a back up plan for you.

Two words: spring clean. Yep, you read that right. Bank holidays are the perfect opportunity to do it the right way, and with our tips, it’ll be done before you know it.

The first thing you need to do is set a nice atmosphere. Put on some good music and maybe invite a few friends over to help you. If you tell them they can take anything you don’t want, they’ll be sure to show up!

The second thing you need to remember is not to rush. You absolutely shouldn’t take all of your clothes out of your closet at once or you’ll feel discouraged and might just give up. Your spring clean shouldn’t leave your room in a bigger mess than it was in before…

Then take every article in your wardrobe and ask yourself if you’ve worn it in the past year. If you haven’t, then we guarantee you won’t wear it again. Unless the problem is that it’s ripped, in which case you should put it aside and make a point to repair it or bring it to the tailor within two days.

Once you have taken out all the clothes that you know you won’t wear anymore, we suggest making three piles for them: one with the clothes that you can sell, the other with the clothes that you can donate and finally a pile for the clothes that you can throw away.

And… you’re done! See, it’s really not as bad as you remembered it, is it?

The London Marathon took place last Sunday and there’s something about it that makes us feel inspired… Could this be the moment we finally take up running?

Whether it’s because your friend who was always last in gym class managed to finish the race, or because your cousin raised over a thousand pounds or even because you heard about the 23 year-old club runner who finished first of all British runners and automatically qualified for the 2017 World Championships, there’s probably a part of you that wishes you had done it as well.

Of course, we don’t expect you to sign up for a marathon immediately, but here are a few tips on how to take up running:

Start with walking. This is mostly to avoid any injuries if your body isn’t used to running. If you start doing too much too soon, chances are you’ll get shin splints or knee injuries and then you’ll have to take a break from running which would kind of defeat the purpose, wouldn’t it? Experts usually recommend starting with a fixed ratio, like running 2min for every 5min walked, so find the one for you and stick to it.

Listen to your body. When you take up running, you should definitely feel some muscle pain, because your body isn’t used to it. But it’s important that you don’t ignore more severe pains and adjust your running accordingly.

Stay hydrated. It might be a good idea to bring a water bottle the first few times you go out on a run because it’s very important to stay hydrated.

Eat more. Your body is going to work harder than usual so you should make sure you increase your food intake. Eat carbohydrates to give your body more energy, and get some protein to help your body recover after the effort.

Get appropriate running gear. Not only will having a nice outfit motivate you to get out there, you will also run better if you have the right clothes. Some accessories are also worth investing in like a running watch if you’re not running outdoors so you can keep track of your pace and the distance you’ve run.

Make a good playlist. There is nothing more motivating than a good song, and with the right playlist you will probably end up surprising yourself.

Find the right route. Unless you’re running on a treadmill, a great part of running is that you can explore the outdoors. Try finding a park nearby so you don’t have to constantly wait at crossings or bump into people, and try switching up your routes to keep it interesting! Now all you need to do is start…

Diesel has just released a cool new collection from a collaboration with Naomi Campbell for Child At Heart, her Fashion For Relief initiative.

The collection is a series of clothes with drawings of hearts and ladybugs printed on them, and the designs have been made by children attending the Diesel HQ kindergarten in Italy. The result is a series of surprisingly cool t-shirts and hoodies that we can’t wait to get our hands on!

This isn’t Diesel’s first social involvement, as it has already collaborated on over 170 initiatives to tackle social issues, but this one is definitely one of favourites!

So get shopping if you’re looking to buy great clothes while raising money for a good cause...

The Girlboss trailer is officially out!

The Netflix film based on Sophia Amoruso’s bestselling autobiography Girlboss airs on April 21 and has finally released its official trailer. The film follows Amoruso’s life as she went from reselling thrift clothes to building her own hugely successful fashion clothing company, NastyGal.

Amoruso is played by Britt Robertson, who, as expected, totally rocks the fringe and we simply cannot wait for the film to finally air. After all, this is one of the few movies focusing on a female character’s business career… but hopefully the first of many!

We’ve all dreamed of having a perfect Instagram feed with thousands of followers, but realising that today Instagram can quite literally be a full-time job, many of us have given up.

Luckily, we have a few simple tips that will instantly make your feed look amazing.

Choose a theme
Sticking to a theme is very important to make your Instagram feed look good. Some of our favourites are the minimalist theme (very bright with a lot of white), sticking to a particular colour, or even having only quotes in the left-hand-side column.

Have a consistent filter
For a neat looking feed, you should stick to a specific filter. We recommend using apps on which you perform the same edit every time and our favourites are vsco, after light, and faded.

Vary your posts
Be creative and play with different angles and subjects to keep your followers interested. No one wants to follow an account that posts only selfies… If you’re looking to switch it up, trying adding a photo of your style icon for example, they usually perform really well!

The ensemble must look good
The key to an aesthetically pleasing feed is making sure your new photo matches the 1st and 3rd photos. For example, if you feel like they are quite detail heavy, the newest photo should be clean and simple to balance it out. A quote, a scenery picture or even a empty coloured photo will do the job!

Keep captions brief
The trick is to have a short caption and to hashtag selectively. Be sure to skip the trending hashtags, adding #girl #cute #tanktop #blog #love #followme is never a good idea. Firstly, those hashtags don’t work, secondly, they’re annoying to everyone and thirdly, they don’t make any sense.

Tag brands
If you post a lot of photos with clothes, be sure to tag the brands. If you’re lucky, they’ll repost your image, and even if they don’t, you’ll still be in their tagged photos section.

Now let the followers roll in...

The Beauty and the Beast film hits the cinemas on the 17th of March and the hype over it is huge.

This time though, the craze is not contained to Disney fanatics but hit the entire world by storm. Its influence is surprisingly far reaching, from Beauty and the Best themed afternoon tea at London hotels to primark chip purses as well as a capsule collection from the collaboration between the jewellery designer Alex Monroe and Disney.

And if that wasn’t enough, the film even influenced luxury labelsl! The renowned London designer Christopher Kane has just released a limited edition capsule collection of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories inspired by the film. The designer said he has always loved Disney movies, and was particularly inspired by the Beauty and Beast for its “strong female voice”.

The collection contains many enchanted rose designs printed on clothes and teacups on many of the jewellery pieces. The colours, such as the fairy blue, are inspired by the Beast’s castle interiors and his face is even printed on the more sporty merchandise.

The capsule will launch online and in stores on 16th March, but you can already get a sneak peak of the designs by scrolling through the gallery!
