As much as we hate to admit the early 00's era of Paris Hilton in pink Juicy track suits, double denim x2 Justin and Britney, Christina Aguilera's dirty braided locks, oversized hoops and motorcross gear loving songstress Pink are all trending for 2017. Even though some of those trends especially worn in the early 00's period make us cringe slightly, incorporating a few items here with a 2017  approach will work wonders for your wardrobe this season!

Read on for the latest throwback staples of the season!

1. Velour Track Suit Ensemble

Before the rise of athleisure the velour tracksuit was a no-fail staple. Combined with an oversized bag, a Starbucks venti Latte and a miniature dog it was the celebrity uniform adorned by most starlets of the time. Many years after it's inevitable demise the velour tracksuit is having a come back. Vetement's collaboration with Juicy Couture for SS17 should have given us a hint. Kanye's YEEZY and Chloe are also adding this naughts staple into their collections. You can probably thank or cringe at Rihanna and Kylie Jenner for putting it back on the Insta Fash pack radar.

2. Trucker Cap

In the heyday of paparazzi and celebrity culture which was the early naughts they had to be accompanied by some much needed streetwear and paparazzi-proof attire. Black sunnies have always been favourable but headgear is also quite integral. For the early 00's that attire included the trucker cap. The ubiquitous accessory for every 20-something celebrity from Pharrell to Ashton Kutcher or Britney Spears. It was Hedi Slimane who resurfaced the the polarizing accessory for Saint Lauren's SS16 show. Nowadays, Gigi Hadid and Kylie and Kendall Jenner have all been spotted with the infamous cap.#2e2e2e">

3. Hot Pink

As fashion recycles every 20 years the early naughts adopted the early 80's trend of pastel pink. When it came to the early naughts Paris Hilton not only brought the flirty colour back but basically built her brand by sporting bold non apologetic fuchia-pink. Around the same time that Legally Blonde premiered by the way. And even though we have been drowning in pastel pink for the past few seasons you can attribute the rise of bold pink to Ballenciaga's SS17 collection. Just wondering when Paris Hilton's come back is due?

4. Motorcross Gear

The rise of early aughties hip-hop is undeniable and it quickly infused the fashion runways too. From Pharell Williams, to Pink, EVE, or Christina Aguilera's Dirrty video and most rappers of the time donning heavy leather tracksuits and jackets usually styled with braided hair and lots of 'bling' or 'bling-bling' if you're truly old - school. Nowadays, labels like Maison Margiela, Alyx Studio, Supreme and of course Rihanna's Fenty x Puma SS18 collection at NYFW are completely in racing-inspired gear mode.

5. Candy Coloured Sunglasses

Colorful sunglasses were everywhere in early 00's and adored by women and men equally. From Sisqo to Justin Timberlake Eve and the Olsen Twins (they've gone a long way we know), all 00's stars were sporting this trend. Nowadays you'll find the likes of Gigi Hadid and her entourage in similar rose coloured glasses.

6. Oversized Hoops

The oversized hoops are a symbol of RnB and Hip Hop music. From Lauren Hill, to Missy Elliot, and EVE it's the accessory that goes hand in hand with a bandana, baseball cap or sleek back pony tail. In the aughts the trend went more mainstream and was adored by many including Victoria Beckham. These days, you can see anyone from Kendall Jenner, to the Hadid sisters or Rihanna rocking those giant gold hoops from designers like Area or minimal ones from Lombardi and Nandi Naya.

7. Fishnets

We're not saying you should go full-on Avril Lavigne and "Hollaback Girl"-era Gwen Stefani, necessarily, but there's definitely something about this pop version of post punk fashion that us bubbling back up all over social media. Usually worn underneath low rise wide legged ripped jeans and peaking from the waist and calves. And of course, the fishnet top is a great way to add some interest under a slip dress—or just over a bandeau bra, for a fun flirty look.

8. Pointy slingback pumps

You can pinpoint this trend to the late 90's who resurfaced the super pointy kitten heel. It was in the early 00's though that the silhouette became more relaxed and transformed into a more elegant and feminine slingback pump with a mid-height lift. Doesn't Sophia Coppola's outfit look truly timeless?

There you have it! The eight 00's trends that are coming back in a major way. Which ones will you be sporting this season? Check out our exclusive edit of all the items that will give you that extra aughts edge!

The Greek islands are one of those places you yearn to go as the photos alone seem to bring out specific sounds, feels and definitely tastes. It's no wonder many bloggers including Pandora Sykes Leandra Medine have chosen Mykonos, Santorini, Crete and Ios among others as a backdrop for their drop dead gorgeous fashion travel photography.

Why do they think the Greek islands are such a good idea for 2017?

The food: Souvlaki, Greek salad, spanakopita, seafood, mousaka, ouzo at your favourite taverna!

The colours: White stone houses perfectly contrasting to light blue cloud-free skies and deep blue waters.

The music: Greek folk music to contemporary pop and electronic...and, of course, some belly dancing if you're into it!

The sights: Ancient ruins ancient theatre, contemporary art museum, historical sightseeing and did we mention the sandy beaches?

The nature: Sandy beaches, Mediterranean scenery, magical sunsets, fish, potentially dolphins, and a few pelicans (Look for celebrity pelican Petros in Mykonos!)

Celebrity Sightings: From Rihanna, to Kate Hudson & Goldie Hawn, Angelina Jolie and Lindsay Lohan they all have visited the Greek islands. So when you’re off buying your afternoon gelato in the old town look around you, and you might be surprised.

Before you pack your bags, here are some ideal outfits to wear for your trip!

Summer is probably one of the best seasons to show off broderie detailing. By broderie we mean those refined almost lacey tops and summer dresses in angelic white, and dreamy eggshell tones that perfectly compliment sun-kissed skin.

This year broderie anglaise took Instagram by storm when the white cotton sleeveless top with lace trim by Reformation was seen on every celebrity Instagrammer under the sun from Jeanne Damas, to Pandora Sykes while Danielle Bernstein and Marianna Hewitt donned the cute mini dress version.

Whether you're planning to attend a wedding, a festival, a racing event or even a casual BBQ with friends, you simply can't go wrong with the elegant nonchalance of a broidered top that blends wonderfully into any summer occasion.

Taking cues from blogger extraordinaire Pandora Sykes on how to nail the summer day look, don a broderie crop top with a pair of gold shorts and white espadrilles. Finish the look with your favourite golden bangles, earrings, black Ray Bans and a bold red lip.

For the ultimate beach to bar look, pair your broderie mini dress with a romantic and oh-so-chic basket bag, a pair of espadrille sandals, oversized sunnies and a floppy straw hat. Add a pair of big gold hoops, and a pendant to amp up your laissez-faire summer outfit.

If you're planning to attend a festival this summer then opt for a broderie jacket with a funky crop top (even your bikini top will do) and a pair of your favourite wide-legged jeans. Top the look off with a leather cross body bag and a vast array of your most colourful accessories.

For a romantic date night try combining the innocent broderie top with a sexy red mini skirt. Finish your flirty look with high stiletto heels and your favourite miniature crossbody chain bag.

How will you style your broderie outfit this summer?

It’s no secret that Zoe Kravitz’s favourite fashion designer is Alexander Wang.

The pair have been best friends for a very long time and Wang’s label has become Zoe’s go-to anytime she has a formal occasion.

As a general rule, Zoe Kravitz has a very laid-back style, she’ll wear a vintage t-shirt and trainers over a dress with heels any day. Her mantra is cool and comfortable and she’s even admitted to doing things like cutting a hole in her heels because they were too small… But with her growing influence, she is having more and more formal events and almost exclusively opts for Alexander Wang pieces for them. The label plays with dark colours and has a very grunge-cool aesthetic, matching Zoe’s look perfectly.

So scroll down to shop the brand’s latest collection if you’re looking for edgy pieces to channel your inner Zoe Kravitz.

Barack Obama gave his farewell speech last night in Chicago last night, the city which launched his political career.

The speech was full of hope, but also of warning- that racism and inequality is still rife, stating "we are not where we need to be".  Continuing "If every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hardworking white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclave".

Obama continued "If we decline to invest in the children of immigrants, just because they don't look like us, we diminish the prospects of our own children - because those brown kids will represent a larger share of America's work force".

The President also shared some nostalgic sentiments, calling back to his 2008 campaign slogan of "Yes, we can", adding "Yes, we did".

Obama and the crowd dabbed their eyes when he called his wife, Michelle "my best friend", and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr "a brother".

Kim K has returned to social media after a break following the Paris robbery in October. She captioned the photo "family", which depicted North, Saint, Kanye and herself.

After three months away from social media, and divorce rumours flying around, we're happy to see that the family are well and truly still strong!

This all comes the same night as Ray J enters the Celebrity Big Brother House in London, where he's been offered $1 million to appear on the show...and no doubt spill the beans over his and Kim's leaked sex tape that catapulted her to fame. In his introductory tape he said "You might know me for my music, TV shows and my dick". Eeeek, he definitely isn't holding back!

In the world of a celebrity, their choices in red carpet designs and designers can greatly impact their position on the fashion ladder. Naturally there were some clear standouts on carpets across the globe this year! Here's the hits -

a) Priyanka Chopra at the Emmy Awards
With PC being an international superstar now, it's no surprise that she started making appearances on Hollywood red carpets as well. At this year's Golden Globes, she twirled down the red carpet in a gorgeous red gown. Anyone and everyone knew she was there, and the photos of her dress mid-twirl are unforgettable!

b) Aiswarya Rai at the Cannes Film Festival
Usually known for her ageless and elegant style, Ash tried something a little different this year. She was seen on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet wearing a bright lilac lip colour, and she wore it with the utmost confidence. You go, girl!

c) Deepika Padukone at the American Music Awards
Though she got a little flak for her outfit, we thought that Deepika's outfit was a complete standout! She strut her long legs down the carpet like a queen, holding her statement earrings clad head high.

d) Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Kapoor at the Stardust Awards
These two besties were spotted in matching fairy-esque lilac gowns on the Stardust Awards red carpet, which we thought was absolutely adorable! Both women were all smiles and pixie dust at the event, and justifiably so. They just became every best friend duo's goal!

e) Gigi Hadid at the British Fashion Council's
Fashion Awards Gigi Hadid took the world by storm at the 2016 Fashion Awards, and was even given the award for International Model of the Year by the queen of fashion Donatella Versace. It was only fitting that she wear a Versace piece to the event, which is exactly what she did. Certainly moment for the fashion history books!

Lilly Singh aka YouTube star Superwoman has had all kinds of celebrity features on her channel, ranging from Gina Rodriguez to Shay Mitchell, to The Rock! *swoon*

Her latest partner is crime is a little more familiar to us though - fellow international influencer Priyanka Chopra! In the hilarious collab video on Lilly's channel, the two gals teach us how to be a good wing woman to our favourite single lady.

Lilly plays wingwoman to a rather inebriated Priyanka, and offers to make herself look bad so that PC can get herself a man. Not that she needs a man to complete herself or anything, of course!

They are ultimately unsuccessful at their task, but all kinds of hilarity ensues in between! Intoxicated PC is something we have never seen before, and we love that she's trying new things.

Don't forget to check out the video above, as well as the adorable blooper video after that!
