This season the desert tones of the wild west are everywhere. Muted yellow, dusty rose and warm, glowing tan are dominating our Instagram feeds. These tones evoke a sense of mystery and adventure - think lonesome cowgirls with tumbledown tresses and freckled noses chasing the sun across the dunes.

It’s no wonder Roxy made the romantic outlaw their muse for the summer collection. Their latest swimwear offering blends timeless silhouettes with maverick twists and draws on western staples like oversized button-downs, artisan embroidery and bold earthy hues.

Our favourite pieces for long relaxing days in the sun include the Little Bandits one-piece suit#1155cc"> in berry and blue-toned botanical print, the gorgeous Bohemian Vibes Athletic Tri Bikini Top and matching bikini bottoms. As always, Roxy lead the way with cool-girl aesthetics and functional design. Soft resistant stretch fabrics make the new collection as ideal for sunbathing as it is for water sports and island adventures.

Come sundown, throw a chunky knit over your western-inspired bikini - we love the Livin’ Sunday Cardigan for understated beach babe vibes. If you hurry you can snatch the cardigan and an array of other special finds with an extra 30% OFF as part of the Roxy Memorial Day Sale.

Are you ready to channel your inner outlaw?

Browse our favourite pieces by Roxy in the edit below and ready your summer line-up for the pool, the beach and beyond...

There's no doubt that with balmy temperatures arriving there'll be a slew of outdoor events in our calendars and the obvious winner is brunch. Nothing quite beats sitting outside a café sipping rose and munching on pancakes in summer, does it?

This is a pretty casual event, so what should one wear for a brunch date? Half lazy, late breakfast with friends, half excuse to dress up like a lady who lunches, we want something that's a mix between comfortable and chic. We looked to our Editors to select four outfits to help you nail dressing for brunch with ease…

Keep things flirty with a crochet dress, strappy sandals and a straw hat. Add a long scarf or denim jacket for those chilly mornings.

Go for a casual look by donning a pair of cut-off jeans, a cool slogan tee and a cardigan. Chanel some sass by throwing a pair of mules to the mix and complete the ensemble with an XXL bag.

Opt for muted, neutral tones with a pair of white straight-leg jeans, a relaxed tee, espadrilles and a basket bag that you'll be wearing all summer long.

Polka dot dresses are everywhere this season. Style yours with a pair of cute ankle boots, a pair of vintage sunnies and a round-handle bag.

Hungry for more brunch-ready outfits? Check out our gallery and shop our Editors' best picks in the edit below...

Even though we're well into Spring, tweed is still hailing as a grand trend. A few brands have embellished the fabric in lighter hues making it warm-weather appropriate. The rough fabric us especially relevant today April 3rd, as we're celebrating National Tweed Day.

Tweed is naturally waterproof and woollen perfect for that country house attire. But it's much more than traditional countryside style staples, it has evolved into an item of everyday attire. Blended with long paisley dresses or chunky knits, tweed is your go-to item that combines British heritage and modern flair.

The Harris Tweed coat by Adam Lippes referencing Scotland is having a major moment. He crafted a series of beautiful grey tweed finished with an overlay of lace.

It was tweed in general that made its way across New York Fashion Week. Alexander Wang utilised a blush pink teddy bear material. Raf Simons at  Calvin Klein focused on oversized dreary old man tweed coats worn over floor-skimming dresses. The Olsen twins referenced a school-girl look cut in long pleated skirts and matching long jackets.

Tweed is not meant solely for the Autumn/ Winter period. The tweed jacket is the perfect transitional piece for Spring. The season that bridges the gap between two temperatures presents some sartorial challenges especially when it comes to outerwear. Pair your tweed jacket with equally adept to traditional weather clothing such as a leather skirt, leather boots, or a cardigan knit. Wear your tweed coat with a long flowy dress and a pair of boots. The breathable material allows you to stay as warm or breezy as you like according to the weather's tantrums.

Finally, sport your tweed trousers with a cropped top and a leather jacket to keep the warm/ chilly equilibrium to the desired status. Are you ready to incorporate tweed into your everyday attire?

There are certain items that you can safely say work under most weather climates. With the rise of a global fashion agenda even if a piece belongs to the summer wardrobe, for example, sandals, a new trend will emerge such as pairing them with statement socks. We’ve noticed that Fendi is now rivalling Gucci when it comes to Milan Fashion Week streetstyle. The latter is still huge news of course, especially following the incredible mishmash of cross-cultural and supernatural references Alessandro Michele featured in his ‘Cyborg’ AW18 collection, complete with severed heads and a cradled baby dragon. But some of the fash pack are ditching Gucci’s double G monogram for Fendi’s double Fs to inspirational effect. Whether it was a multi-coloured bag, a coat as seen on Anna Dello Russo, or even a sheer skirt and accessories, each women pulled off the statement logo pieces with aplomb leaving us with serious style envy. And trust self-professed techno princess, the model and DJ Sita Abellan, to take monogram layering to a whole new level by teaming a Fendi cardigan, belt, bag, tights and shoes together (a chic new record) in brown tones with flashes of red.

The fact that Fendi’s monogram isn’t as famous as Gucci’s or even Chanel’s or Louis Vuitton’s actually works in it’s favour. There’s less risk of overexposure as adoptees tend to have an affinity with the Italian fashion house or the letter ‘F’ (maybe it’s one of their initials?). Fendi’s Creative Directors Silvia Venturini Fendi and Karl Lagerfeld have also made an effort to graphically rework the ‘F’ in some lovely and original ways. Take the the ‘F’ hoops with the letters sitting at an angle or the arty use of colour, these on-trend yet timeless styles have captivating cross-general appeal. They’re sophisticated and impeccably crafted with the prices the match.

MFW street style look number three, well it is me after all so there was bound to be some leopard print. I'm usually not a cardigan person at all. Practically yes they're great and keeping you warm but style-wise no I don't want to throw something on top of my perfectly curated outfit. That's what I thought at least until I saw this knitted two piece. I guess this is an alternative to a skirt suit. It's neat and chic and well, leopard print. Honestly what is not to love? You've seen them on Kaia Gerber, the Hadid sisters can't get enough. It’s the ultimate winter staple and comeback item from the 90’s the era of grunge and tea dresses. It’s the easy way to toughen up any girly outfit and infuse it with some much-needed edge. Even before the Chicago grunge era of Nirvana and Courtney Love combat boots such as Dr. Martens, were causing head waves across the country with the punk rock of movement in all its vinyl, PVC and fishnet glory.

For 2018, the vibe is muted and nuanced. Although we may see lots of touches from the previously mentioned punk trends, the styling now has an amazing way of looking elegant and put together though maintaining that tough, rocker edge.

Combat boots are also surprisingly complimentary to all shapes and sizes. They come with that tiny rubber heel that gives a few cheeky inches to a petite figure. Also, it has a very clever slimming effect. The chunkiness of the boot actually juxtaposes to the calf and elongates the leg as a result. Nothing wrong with that!

Go for a full 90's resurgence look by sporting your combat boots with a frilly tea dress, minimal make-up and a knit cardigan.

Try a student look and style your boots with a pair of denim shorts, a trench coat and a cool red beret.

Opt for an 80's look by adding a LBD and fishnets.

For an up-to-date take on the trend, mix a slip dress under an oversized knit and finish the look with a pair of white Dr. Martens.

This week, our Influencer Focus is dedicated to Sandra Diola. If there's anything new to know about beauty, the South Floridian based model features it on her Instagram account. Whether it's a lip tint, enriching hair products or highlighters, you can find them on @sandradrifter. Her understated wardrobe, an enviable mix of playful designers like Ganni from YOOX, pieces from Urban Outfitters and streamlined items by COS, is another reason why we scroll through her feed religiously. We caught up with the busy influencer and aspiring graphic designer to talk style, wellness essentials and designing her boyfriend's album cover.

What compelled you to start your own Instagram account?

I’m from the Philippines, so after moving to Florida, I started my Instagram account because I wanted to be more connected and present. Which is funny, actually, because we end up not being as present with social media.

What do you enjoy most about the creative process?

I enjoy changes in direction and having to invent something new. There’s this feeling of happiness in the middle of a shoot when I know I'm in the zone creatively. It makes me feel even more excited to see the outcome.

What are the challenges and also the benefits of being an influencer?

I guess the challenge would probably be staying true to myself. This means working with brands that align with my ethos, the ones I truly love and want to promote, especially the smaller ones. I guess the benefits would be allowing these smaller brands to be more visible and having the platform to talk about real things that matter to me. Issues that transcend the beautifully styled imagery.

What are your non-negotiables regarding your wellness routine?

MOISTURISING. That’s non-negotiable.

How would you describe your personal style? Do you have any favourite brands?

My style is very easy going. I enjoy wearing colourful outfits that convey elements of nostalgia, which why I love shopping vintage. Some of my favourite designers are Cos, Orseund Iris, and I recently have fallen in love with Ganni from YOOX. I also adore Albisia for jewellery. It's a small brand from my hometown that makes styles by hand.

Which are your staples when it comes to dressing up in the morning?

I'm used to being out all day studying or running to castings and meetings, so I always bring a sweater or cardigan for all-day, for maximum cosiness. Plus, it adds that hygge element to my outfit.

You're always travelling. Which one of your recent destinations was the most memorable to you and why?

I think my most memorable destination will forever be Cuba. The city's architecture, the colours and sceneries were reminiscent of another era. I'll never forget it.
What are you working on at the moment? What are your plans this year?

Apart from growing my work on my platform and modelling, I'm doing graphic design. I’m aiming to make album covers for my boyfriend's music project ‘Pleasure Wars’, finish my book and indulge in more self-care when I find the time.

Slogan T-shirts made their massive comeback last season and are still front and center on most fashion feeds. They are incredibly elegant yet nonchalant and therefore make for the ultimate model-off duty look. Take cues from the trendsetters that provided us with an array of layering styling tips in our gallery. Are you still hesitant to try the trend? Here are four reasons why you should give Slogan tees a styling go!

ICE-BREAKER

You're bound to grab attention. Whether you like it or not, clothes say a lot about how we are let alone if we spell it out on our tops. The tee could easily be an icebreaker and topic of conversation between you and the guy standing in line for your morning chai latte?

SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOU

It's personal. Although slogan tees are a trend, hence not as personal, the message can be a reflection of your individual style and mind set. Whether it's a pun on feminism, a political statement, a funny random quote or ever a rocker tee. Slogan were, are and always will be quite personal. And there's nothing wrong with that.

EASY TO STYLE

They're quite easy to style and incorporate in literally any wardrobe. You can go for a girly look and tuck it inside a floor length skirt, paired with a GG belt and mules. It's the perfect addition if you want to tone down and make a classic look edgier. If you want to spice up your business attire, don a slogan tee under your check blazer and trousers. On the other hand you can go for the rocker look, or simply keep it casual with a luxe knit cardigan, vinyl leggings and ankle boots.

TRANSITIONAL WEATHER FRIENDLY

Tees are the perfect way to go during transitional weather as you can layer up, or layer down according to your environment and occasion. And if you are going for a t-shirt this season, why not make it personal and sport one with a slogan?

Can't wait to get your hands on a slogan t-shirt? Check out our edit of this season's best slogan tee picks!
