Andrew Garfield will always be number one on my crushes list. I mean just look at him, you could pick him up and put it as a doll on any wedding cake.  But beyond his hotness, I really like how he looks so put together on any red carpet he attends, especially in this elegant navy suit with the bow-tie! I just love men's who wear bow-ties.  photo credit: @britishvogue on twitter  #tonyawards #fashion #look #suit

Wedding season is here, but if you’re not quite ready to give Meghan and Harry a run for their money – and let’s face it, who can afford to cater for 600 people? – you might want to consider a few shortcuts. We caught up with Fern Godfrey, Editor of the UK’s biggest Wedding blog Rock My Wedding, to discover her tips for planning your dream day on a budget…

What do you love most about being the Editor of Rock My Wedding? Rock My Wedding was founded by Charlotte O’Shea in 2009, when she was planning her own wedding, it’s grown hugely since then and we’re now a team of 10. I’ve been Editor at Rock My Wedding since 2015 and I absolutely love my job.

We get to share people’s love stories every single day, work with beautiful flowers and dresses, and champion incredible wedding suppliers with our directory, The List. The best bit is seeing the wedding photographs of brides who have read RMW religiously while planning their own weddings –- it’s such a great feeling.

What do you find are the most popular wedding themes?

We feature a lot of rustic luxe weddings -– industrial and agricultural buildings with lots of exposed brick and lofty beams, filled with flowers and candles. This theme works beautifully for weddings across Europe as we have so many incredible historic and working buildings to use. The weather in the UK doesn’t always allow for the amazing outdoor celebrations we feature from France, Italy and Spain, but all of the weddings we blog are amazing in their own unique way.

How can one plan a beautiful wedding on a budget?

If you want to save money while planning your big day, then the key thing is decide on what is important to you as a couple. If you chose the areas you’re going to spend on, then you can try to save on the others.

Do you really need wedding favours? Can you serve canapés as a starter and wedding cake as your dessert? Have you considered a Spotify play list rather than a band? Do you really need a pair of designer shoes? If flowers aren’t important to you, then use local foliage and seasonal blooms. The one thing we’d always recommend spending on is professional photographs and a film – these things will allow you to remember your big day forever and so they are the most important part.

Can you share any useful DIY tips?

We’ve created a couple of floral DIY’s for Rock My Wedding readers. The first is a chair back arrangement to take your seating to the next level. The other is for a classic flower crown – these are very popular with boho bridesmaids, especially at cool, rustic weddings out in the countryside, but you can use any kind of flower to achieve the look and feel you want. There are plenty of examples on the Rock My Wedding Instagram feed.

As an expert, what would you pack for a destination wedding?

As a wedding guest? A floral maxi dress, a wide brimmed hat and some sunglasses. As the bride? A soft and flowing gown, some pretty sandals and lots of Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.

Shop Fern’s edit for the perfect pieces to make your day special, whatever your budget and wherever you’re heading to tie the knot…

You've planned ahead and made the guest list, booked the venue, the photographer and picked out the cake. But as the big day approaches and the planning piles up, the stress kicks in and your skin suffers. Of all the special events in your life, this is probably the one where you’ll want to look and feel your best so we’ve put together a guide to help you. The pre-wedding skincare guide…

For your face

Kick things off by establishing a routine. Start with a deep cleanse that meticulously cleans and helps soften, liquefy and wash away dirt and debris. Then it's time for exfoliation to remove dead skin cells from your face and start work on smooth, fresh skin. For a professional exfoliation treatment, try microdermabrasion or use gentle exfoliating scrubs, peels and acid exfoliators at home. Follow with a Vitamin C-infused serum and then a moisturizing cream that induces collagen and elastin production, calms inflammation and stimulates your skin's blood flow. Editor's tip: Massage your face in a circular upwards motion every day when applying your moisturizer for better results.

For your body

Even if you're not interested in shedding a few pounds, exercise will help you tone up and boost your endorphins which helps to fight stress and promote a healthy glow. Pilates, and personal training are great options, but if you're looking for a fun inexpensive way to lower your cortisol levels, put your running shoes on and head outside. Indulge in a weekly bath with salts to relieve muscle tension from your workout. Exfoliate your skin with a luxe sugar scrub and apply a rich body moisturizer or oil.

Editor’s tip:  For the perfect pre-wedding glow, add a few drops of self tan to your moisturizer. Just remember to wear gloves or wash your hands afterwards.

Voila! Your pre-wedding beauty routine is complete. Shop our edit of the best beauty tools to use below…

Glossier definitely has his army when it comes to lip balms. I really enjoy how they give each one a unique touch with flavours and tints, and the birthday cake one has this really cool iridescent effect that is really versatile to wear alone or over lipstick.

Wild & the Moon : Plus branché et politiquement correct impossible. Site internet et carte exclusivement en anglais, adresse à Dubai, programme detox conçu par un chef californien et une équipe de naturopathes... Menu "plant-based" et "free from" à peu près tout : gluten, lactose, sucres raffinés, etc.

Fashion week is done and dusted for another season, and whilst we're sad to wave goodbye to it until September, our feet are in much need of a break.

On Monday the Shopcade Editors headed to David Ferreira at Freemason's Hall, for a "freak ball" extravaganza! Bright colours, exaggerated cuts and fluff galore, this show certainly brought out the freak in all of us!

Next up we headed to the Dilara Findikoglu presentation, where the designer hinted at a Marilyn Manson collaboration - queue us getting giddy with excitement.

Monday finished off with an amazing event held by Aspinal of London at Claridges. With champagne, red velvet cake and a gif booth, we were in heaven. The bags on show were gorgeous, ranging from classic totes to the magical (unicorn prints were abundant).

Tuesday came too quickly, as we clung on to the last day of fashion week. Attending two presentations on brick lane. First up we went to the Isa Arfen presentation. The pieces were extremely wearable, but still innovative. Then we headed to Dorateymur, where the shoes stole the show. Who would have thought carved elephants as a heel would be so chic?

Selasi has stolen hearts across the country during the Great British Bake Off this year. Never has a frenzy of completely infatuation been so wide spread, if he gets voted off I guarantee there will be civil unrest.

We are obsessed. We spend hours looking at memes of him, imagining what it would be like to date such a man. Guys, he loves baking and animals, plus he's a banker. So to recap, he can feed you delicious treats whilst his many adopted puppies run around your feet and then go to work and do some seriously adult sh*t. What more could anyone want?!? When he mentioned his girlfriend everyone heard hearts shatter across Great Britain.

1. He is so chill.

No-one as ever been so relaxed on the GBBO. He actually lies down on the floor whilst waiting for his cakes to bake. "I don't understand it, I just bake it" is the most iconic line ever muttered in that tent.

2. He can eye f*ck anyone, even Paul.

No-one is immune to his charm and smile, not even Paul Hollywood. Selasi is a God amongst men.

3. He is superhuman.

Last Friday and Saturday he went out, then ran a half marathon on Sunday and baked an incredible cake. I'm proud of myself if I even get showered on a Sunday.

4. He is multifaceted.

Baker, banker, animal lover but that's not it, nay, how dare you underestimate Selasi. He also partakes in eating competitions (12 doughnuts in 13 mins), rides a motorbike (and we thought he couldn't get sexier) and is an incredible savoury cook.

5. He is SO helpful.

Remember when he helped Jane when she was running out of time? So cute.

6. He's such a flirt.

He's so flirty, but in such an innocent way. Him and Benjamina have serious chemistry, and we're all on board because she's the nation's second fave contestant (following Selasi, obv).

7. The way he looks at scotch Bonnets.

Seriously, find yourself a man that looks at you like Selasi looks at scotch bonnets.

8. He's just so perfect.

We are fully in love with someone we have never met. I feel like I finally understand 1D fandoms and their level of obsession. That smile. Those shoulders. That eyebrow lift.

Ok, I'm off to take a cold shower, this is all too much.

Scroll the gallery above for our fave Selasi moments and reactions...

Cuffing Season officially begins in September, but what is it and why has it become such a legitimised thing? Let's discuss the basics-  Cuffing season is when people, during the autumn and winter months, want to stay in rather than go out. The cold makes us antisocial, and after the party months of summer, we all just want to be lazy.

Thing is, if you don't want to leave the house and go out with your friends, then how are you meant to meet new people? How are you meant to have sex? Apparently Cuffing Season answers this dilemma.

Cuffing Season is the phenomenon of cuffing yourself to another person for the colder seasons of the year, and then when spring and summer comeback around you break off to enjoy the warmer months single. Intercourse and intimacy are the two goals of Cuffing Season.

Urban dictionary defines it as "During the fall and winter months people who would normally rather be single or promiscuous find themselves, along with the rest of the world, desiring to be 'cuffed' or tied down by a serious relationship. The cold weather and prolonged indoor activity causes singles to become lonely and desperate to be cuffed". Basically, it's for when you want to stay in side and watch Netflix but want someone to partake in the "chill" part, but on a more secure basis then hookups.

Apparently science even supports this phenomenon! Dr Wendy Walsh has stated that "we're walking around in DNA that's hundreds of thousands of years old. In our anthropological past, there was less food and resources available, and hunter-gatheres' survival happened better if you were in a pack, if you were coupled up". Ok, so evolution may suggest that it's smart, but in modern life does it really have a place? We can't all have our cake and eat it. Single summers and coupled up Christmases are ideal, but not very nice...

No one wants to go to a family parties and get asked "why are you still single?" or be the only one without a S.O. for Valentines day. But if you're happy single and want your summer fun, then it doesn't seem very fair on your Cuffing Season partner to be dragged into all that. Cuffing Season is fine, if it's mutually agreed, but most of the time the other person doesn't realised they've been cuffed.

Someone usually gets attached, and according to Dr Walsh it's the woman- because, evolution. "women have a fertility window that men, frankly, don't -- you will see that women become more invested in their relationships". Ok, so Dr Walsh sounds a bit like she's stuck in the 1950s. But let's just let that slide.

Maybe Cuffing Season isn't as conscious as the viral "Cuffing Season Applications", maybe it's a natural occurrence that happens because cuddles are nice when it's cold.

So Cuffing Season sounds pretty animalistic so far, and not very romantic. But what if is actually beneficial to romance? With the hookup culture we're living in, Cuffing Season brings back serious dating, even if it's just temporary. Plus, people fall in love, so your winter beau could become more than that.

A good cuff (or catch) isn't going to magically appear just because Starbucks have brought back pumpkin spiced lattes. You don't want someone who's just cuddly, because you'll probably have to converse during those six months. Ideally it's someone you already know, and you both mutually want to get cuffed.

Cuffing is a bit of a silly concept, because surely if you find the perfect Cuffing Season partner then they are in actual fact the love of your life. Not just the love of your, currently rather chilly, life.

Be prepared. WINTER IS COMING.

Matching your BFF is super cringe, right? Wrong. Gigi, Taylor and Cara proved that over the 4th of July weekend. The trick is not to be completely matching; rather wear the same colour scheme or print but not the same cut.

Go for the same fabric, like tweed or paisley, but one of you wear the dress version whilst the other wears the shorts/skirt. Or, match like CaKe and wear slogan tees. The ultimate summer matching comes in the form of swimwear, the same print in different styles is cute and means you can cater to different body types. Totes adorbs.

Want dewy skin? Of course you do. Well, face mists might be the product for you. Arguably they are the most underrated beauty innovation- because there are so many, for every skin type and problem, but they haven't become a staple yet.

The new wave of face mists are where it's at, not the former generation, like the Evian one. Not sure what they thought they knew about skincare but okaaaaay. Clinique's moisture surge face spray has active aloe in it, which means it's the perfect product to hydrate your skin. This product is multipurpose and therefore works whether you've got makeup on, or not.

How To Use

1. If you use a thermal or mineral water mist then you don't just spray it on, you hold it 5 inches away from the face and spritz. Then leave it to soak for a minuet before blotting any excess product off. However, most mists are now hydrating so no need for this step- just spritz on.

2. Alternatively, use face mists under your moisturiser. Why? Because it's a proven fact that damp skin locks in moisture better, hence why we moisturise after showering. Do the same with your face.

3. You can use facial mists as a makeup products rather than just skincare. Want plump skin? For every layer of makeup you apply add a spritz off facial mist, just a little bit though, you want a dewy glow not to end up looking like you've just been on a run.

4. Cake face is the worst. Powder can often leave us looking dry, so a great way to use face mists is to get rid of this. Try spraying the face mist and walking into it, rather than applying directly on to the face, you don't want your makeup to smudge!

So there you have it, face mists do work. Considering every makeup artist carries one, we think they should become a staple in our beauty routine! Shop our top picks below...
