This season the desert tones of the wild west are everywhere. Muted yellow, dusty rose and warm, glowing tan are dominating our Instagram feeds. These tones evoke a sense of mystery and adventure - think lonesome cowgirls with tumbledown tresses and freckled noses chasing the sun across the dunes.

It’s no wonder Roxy made the romantic outlaw their muse for the summer collection. Their latest swimwear offering blends timeless silhouettes with maverick twists and draws on western staples like oversized button-downs, artisan embroidery and bold earthy hues.

Our favourite pieces for long relaxing days in the sun include the Little Bandits one-piece suit#1155cc"> in berry and blue-toned botanical print, the gorgeous Bohemian Vibes Athletic Tri Bikini Top and matching bikini bottoms. As always, Roxy lead the way with cool-girl aesthetics and functional design. Soft resistant stretch fabrics make the new collection as ideal for sunbathing as it is for water sports and island adventures.

Come sundown, throw a chunky knit over your western-inspired bikini - we love the Livin’ Sunday Cardigan for understated beach babe vibes. If you hurry you can snatch the cardigan and an array of other special finds with an extra 30% OFF as part of the Roxy Memorial Day Sale.

Are you ready to channel your inner outlaw?

Browse our favourite pieces by Roxy in the edit below and ready your summer line-up for the pool, the beach and beyond...

You have probably been seeing this colour everywhere now, and the reason is straightforward: red is a colour that is super easy to combine. No matter what your style, if it is more bohemian and relaxed or super elegant and chic, red will complement your looks taking them to the next level.Credits: Pinterest

Florence Welch recently made headlines all over the world as she sang tracks from her new album High as Hope at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Once again, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine proved her skill not only in song and stage presence, but with her signature theatrical boho style – something we’ve always loved about her.

During the Chanel AW2015 show she conquered the red carpet in a blush-pink pantsuit with eclectic accessories and a huge black fedora hat. While at Erdem she appeared in an emerald-green feather coat, complementing a pair of dark-wash jeans.

A gal truly inspired by the '70s, Florence isn’t afraid of bold print and rocks anything from psychedelic swirls to chintzy florals. Sporting gowns with billowing capes – like that gorgeous custom Gucci column gown she donned for Chime for Change – this singer always wows us with her maximalist style. F

or accessories, Flo seems to love a fringed bag or teeny, tiny clutches. She's a fan of silk scarves, unique headpieces and of course, dangling bohemian earrings.

Sustainable fashion updates made headlines multiple times. If you have a minimal style and you have devoted yourself in a vegan lifestyle, you will love this trend. Organic fabrics, sustainable production and unfinished garments are major for Spring 2018. You can go all hippie with organic fashion as the industry has committed itself on being environmental friendly! #sustainability #environment #vegan #bohemian #hippie #organic #fashion #style #streetstyle

Throwback to the seventies once, twice, thrice again! Fashion can’t get enough of retro trends snd personally, this is my favourite. ‘70s was a mixture of bohemian, hippie, glamorous, disco and punk fashion… So what’s not to love about this era? For this season, denim overalls are taking over street trends. You can opt for overalls or jumpsuit or even playsuits. Style your denims with foulards and wedges to get the ultimate seventies look! #seventies #trend #denim #overalls #jumpsuit #style #streetstyle #fashion

I don’t know about you but I love clothes that are versatile and different. Vests and gilets can spice up your outfit with just one change. Leather vests add a touch of rebel while patterned vests add a retro and bohemian style. This season denim vests are a trend but you can opt for other styles to match your taste. #vest #gilet #style #trend #fashion #streetstyle

Vintage florals were major even before any fashion week happened. So bohemian vibes in the fashion shows weren’t such a big surprise. Earthy tones, retro florals and natural feel to the designs, bohemia was one of the most eye catching styles of the fashion month. With ‘lets make everything organic’ movement going around the world, it would be surprising if bohemian fashion was left out… #bohemia #bohemian #fashion #trend #fashionweek #streetstyle #style

If the thought of piling on gives you an uneasy stomach, fear not. The art of layering has never looked better. Although it's an American tic, think the Olsen twins during the mid -noughties, being enclosed in layers of bohemian fabric and oversized coatigans, the Parisians have employed it with effortless ease too. Experimental layering is a dominant issue on the fashion agenda, especially when deciding on what to wear in chilly weather.

Take Paris Fashion Week for example. Fashion editors from across the globe (not only from the US) showcased their unique vision to nailing the layering craft. We've compiled a few of the best piling-on tricks we discovered on the streets of Paris you can try now.

TONAL

Try the tonal approach by opting for slightly differentiated hues of the same colour and wear it from head-to-toe. Throw in an unexpected colour like white or coral to juxtapose to the monochrome look.

ADD A ROLLNECK

Rollnecks have many charms being one of the best options for workwear and smart casual alike. Just take cues from Audrey Hepburn's fail-proof styling in 1957's Funny Face for more inspiration.  With your key item in place strategically create the rest of your outfit.

GO FOR COATIGAN

A knitted coatigan is your best bet when layering. Just throw it over some of the season's natural fabrics like linen, cotton and hemp and style it with bold and chunky accessories.

ADD SOME LEATHER

Layering offers a great opportunity to experiment with texture. Don't be afraid to wear your leather jacket under your main coat or trench in a samey colour.

DON'T FORGET THE PUFFER

Now might be the best time to invest in a slim quality puffer jacket. Wear it in the same colour just under your coat or trench. To avoid the same shade from top to bottom add a pop of colour in your accessories like a tangerine bag or mules.

Although velvet is still having a moment in the spotlight, another seventies staple is taking centre stage: corduroy. And there's a large offering too for Spring, whether it's a jumpsuit, skirt or jacket. Contrary to popular belief, corduroy is not only a winter fabric. Like linen, it's quite adaptable to weather climate changes. The strong case for corduroy was made in the Prada show in Paris, while Isabel Marant also offered a touch of corduroy trousers with a 1980's twist.

The tomboyish appeal of the texture was picked up by Alexa Chung who incorporated it into her Alexa Chung collection, while Lemaire showed a rusty cord trouser suit. Gucci that holds the helm historically over the corduroy trend threw out pink flares, floral suits, and signature flippers. The past few seasons we've noticed that there has been a huge resurgence of trends, so it came as no surprise when corduroy made its way back to the catwalks, street style and ultimately our wardrobe. The high street also took notice. The new Stockholm- based fashion brand, The Cords & Co focuses on this material alone making it the corduroy's haven.

This fabric was extremely popular in the 70's especially by Jane Birkin and her bohemian - laissez-faire interpretation of the menswear staple. In the 70's resurgence of the late 90s corduroy was back in stock for both men and women. Nowadays we're seeing it not only in the form of trousers but also as a pinafore dress, and in many shades of pink, to burgundy, green, aquatic or in floral patterns.

STYLE TIPS

Pair a luxe corduroy suit with a white graphic tee for a smart casual outfit that will turn heads all Spring long.

Opt for a tonal approach by wearing a hoodie with a slightly lighter hue over your coloured corduroy trousers.

For a bold look, do a head-to-toe corduroy look. If the full on corduroy look makes you uneasy, match a detail like your socks, sunnies or a shade of your T-Shirt with that of you corduroy trousers.

Finally, you don’t have to settle for trousers alone. Choose a corduroy blazer, skirt, or even dungarees.
