The incredible costumes in 'Black Panther' exceeded our wildest expectations, and so has Lupita Nyong’o 's style in her most recent appearances. Yet again. Because the Kenyan-Mexican actress, who plays Nakia in the groundbreaking movie, first marked herself out as a red carpet fashion superstar on her way to winning her Best Supporting Actress Oscar for ’12 Years A Slave.’ And to promote her most high profile film since, she’s wowed at every turn. There was the floaty purple gown anchored with a jewelled harness she twirled in at the New York premiere; the low cut, high slitted black gown dusted in silver that she wore for the London one; and our favourite look of the lot? The brown Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore at a New York screening of the film earlier this week. This was Nyong’o’s take on nude and she looked like a dream- with the corset bodice and all-over ruching defining her curves. Shimmering metallic earrings, heels and a clutch were the finishing touches. The actress has been flexing her sartorial muscles off the red carpet as well by rocking a on-point blue pencil skirt look at the AW18 Calvin Klein show; and also made the case for double patent by wearing a shiny black trench and matching trousers together on the street. Massive props to her stylist Micaela Erlanger as well.

We don’t think we’re exaggerating to say that Nyong’o’s gorgeous make-up and head-turning hairstyles take her already stunning outfits to another level. Seemingly picking up where the film’s hair department head Camilla Friend left off, the actress has teased her natural hair into a towering twisted top knot, a fluffy high ponytail, sculptural puffs and more in recent works. What wonderful expressions of black beauty! We can't wait to see what she wears next.

Check out Nyong'o's amazing recent looks in the gallery above and then shop our expert fashion and beauty edits below.

The annual People's Choice Awards had some absolutely beautiful looks on the red carpet, but there were also celebs who took their outfits a little too far. Here's who you need to know about:

Best Dressed -

1) Ruby Rose: Ruby gave her Veronica Beard suit an edgy twist, and paired it with a dark red lip for a little touch of drama. She looked classy as hell, and her look definitely stood out on the red carpet for us!

2) Jennifer Lopez: Our love for JLo's style in undying, and she did not disappoint! She wore a black Reem Acra gown, which had the most stunning bejewelled bodice. Possibly the best look of the night!

3) Blake Lively: Blake looked beautiful in a black Elie Saab tasselled dress, and her glimmering black and silver accessories completed her look perfectly. And how about them shoes?!

4) Priyanka Chopra: Simple is always the key to success, and PC embraced that motto on this ed carpet. She let her Sally LaPointe dress be the star of her look, as she opted for a neutral glam makeup look and bronzy skin to match. Radiant is too kind a word to describe how she looked!

5) Jamie Chung: Her pale yellow Martha Madeiros gown looked easy and effortless on her, and her golden tan brought out the dress even further.

Bizarre:

1) Gwen Stefani: Her ruffled blue number came across a little dated, especially when paired with black fishnet stockings. The exaggerated straps brought unnecessary attention to her shoulders, making her otherwise petite frame appear broader. But then again, blue isn't the easier colour to pull off, especially when paired with a grunge accessory like the fishnets!

2) Yara Shahidi: Yara's printed gown had ruffles in many wrong places, which didn't enhance her body shape much at all. But whatever said and done, she was all smiles walking down the runway, which was the perfect accessory!

3) Kristen Bell: The wide leg pants of her metallic jumpsuit engulfed her frame completely, and the white frilly cups came off more awkward than amazing. However, the colour of the piece was perfectly on trend, so points are given where due!

4) Ashley Greene: Keeping with the metallic outfits, Ashley Greene's metallic purple dress had a silver and green duochrome that didn't quite catch the light as one would have hoped. Instead, it made her outfit appear a little too simple, and even a little dated. Despite this, the dress hugged her fit frame perfectly, which we appreciated for sure!

5) Jodie Sweetin: Combining aesthetics is definitely on trend this season, but it seems like Jodie Sweetin went too extreme with her sartorial choices. Her gown and her leather jacket were stunning as separate pieces, but looked out of place when paired together.

Award season is back around the bend, and we're ready with our fashion goggles on!

At the 2017 Golden Globe Awards, our fave Hollywood A-listers went all out with their sartorial choices, where some were hits and others were a little more risky.

We have rounded up our top 5 in both categories, so read on to see who wore what!

Best Looks:

1) Blake Lively: Blake was exuding some serious dark goddess vibes in a black mermaid gown, complete with gold accents and a classy updo. She looked like elegance personified, and we think her classic choice was a big hit!

2) Gal Gadot: Who said maternity fashion is drab and matronly? Gal Gadot proved that wrong in a stunning slitted gown with a plunging neckline. We think that she looks absolutely amazing!

3) Priyanka Chopra: As opposed to Blake Lively's dark goddess, PC went for a more bronzed goddess look. She wore a beautiful full sleeved gown embellished with warm toned embroidery, and paired it with a beautiful terracotta lip colour. Definitely red carpet goals!

4) Emma Stone: Coming off of her fantastical film La La Land, Emma Stone payed tribute to the film in a gown covered in stars. We think she looks beautiful, and the gown shits her skin tone perfectly!

5) Natalie Portman: Natalie payed homage to Jackie Kennedy in this stunning yellow Prada gown, complete with her hair pulled back and some elegant earrings to complete the look. Simple, chic, and an ode to the 60s, this outfit is stunning!

Risky Looks:

1) Nicole Kidman: Nicole certainly took a big risk in terns of the colour of her dress, as she opted for a starkly white and silver, cold shouldered gown. The dress was embellished with distressed white ruffles at the bottom, which blended into the dress.

2) Sarah Jessica Parker: A pure white princess dress can sometimes be a little dated, just like SJP. The gown was paired with a braided updo and a cool toned smoky eye look.

3) Felicity Jones: Her pink satin gown was a unique choice, especially with the black glitter ruffles and the border. The black glittery ruffles made the dress particularly risky.

4) Carrie Underwood: The hard fabric roses on the bodice of Carrie's dress are definitely making a statement, drawing extra attention to the shoulders, which can be very hit or miss.

5) Janelle Monae: Polka dots are always a risk, and Janelle Monae definitely took one in this poofy white high-low gown. The dress was complete with a white train, covered with a lacy overcoat and oversized polka dots. Definitely an adventurous choice!

'Tis the season to look good, and Bollywood's finest would never miss the opportunity! And as with all award events, the 2016 Stardust Awards had some absolutely fabulous fashion to gain inspiration from as well. Let's take a look, shall we?

1) Kajol Mrs. Devgn was giving us serious Mrs. Addams vibes in a vampy black mermaid gown, paired with a stunning plum lip, and nails to match. Her minimalistic look was completed with some dangle earrings, which gave her the perfect touch of elegance.

2) Sonam Kapoor Bollywood's fashion fairy slayed once again, this time looking like an actual fairy princess too! She wore a stunning baby blue gown with an embellished bodice, which she paired with a bright eyed makeup look and an intricate hair upto.

3) Saiyami Kher We freaking LOVED Saiyami's geometric gown, and found the luscious maroon colour to compliment her so well. No wonder that she's all smiles!

4) Aishawarya Rai Bachchan Ash went with the holiday classics - a stunning white and silver gown, paired with a sparkly eye look and a bright red Christmassy lip. A timeless beauty, as per usual!

5) Anushka Sharma Tall girls in fitted pants can be supremely sexy, and Anushka Sharma showed us just why! She flaunted those legs in black cigarette pants and sky-high Louboutins, and paired that with an interesting asymmetric hemmed top. Definitely something new, and we think we like it!

To us, there's nothing more fun at an award show than to check out celebrities' outfits on the red carpet! The hottest women of Bollywood put their best fashion foot forward at the Lux Golden Rose Awards this year, and here's our pick of the best dressed.

Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi always manages to impress us with her sartorial choices! We love how she glowed in this powder blue strapless gown and coral pink lipstick.

Anushka Sharma
Instead of a dress, like most celebs, Anushka opted for a two-piece set of a cream-coloured maxi skirt with a thigh-high split and an elegant black crop top. She chose to match her heels to her skirt.

Deepika Padukone
Deepika looked absolutely stunning in a satin grey strapless gown, and a classic red lip.

Ileana D'cruz
In a world of neutral and pastel hues, Ileana chose to shake things up in an evening gown with an abstract print in a number of bright hues.

Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline's nude-coloured dress made up in blingy-ness what it lacked in terms of colour!

Kareena Kapoor Khan
Our fave mommy-to-be on the block looked ethereal as ever in a classic red evening gown and neutral makeup.

Katrina Kaif
Kat loves experimenting with different colours on the red carpet, and this time she rocked a flared, sheer gown in a cool-toned jewel green.

Madhuri Dixit
The first words that come to mind when we see Madhuri are "some beauty is just ageless and timeless"! She looked super elegant in a black mermaid-cut gown.

Malaika Arora Khan
No red carpet is complete without Malaika slaying everyone with her sultriness! This time around, she wore a beige, sequin-covered dress with a slit that was just the right amount of sexy, pairing it with gold strappy heels.

Sayani Gupta
Who says you have to show skin to look sexy? Sayani looked pretty in a peach floor-length gown which had floral embroidery on the bodice and sleeves.

Shriya Saran
Shriya, like Anushka, ditched the dress route and instead donned a metallic teal outfit consisting of cigarette pants and a bustier top with a cape at the bottom.

Covers that are leaving us gasping for breath! Check our faves out below:

Elle
You may not see this diva in too many movies, but in the fashion-verse, she’s undoubtedly everyone’s favourite. Kalki Koechlin graced the cover of Elle magazine this month and looked androgynously chic in all her outfits. Styled by Nidhi Jacob and photographed by Bikramjit Bose, this cover embodying strength has caught many people’s eyes and it’s obvious why!

Style inspiration: Androgynous

Vogue
International supermodel and icon Cindy Crawford and 14 years old gorgeous daughter Kaia Gerber are seeing sharing love and admiration on this month’s Vogue magazine cover! The cover also appeared on Vogue Paris’ April issue this year and clearly we can’t seem to get enough of this stunning duo! We’re inspired by their biker-chic look, which has totally left us convince that Cindy is an evergreen actor who does not age!

Style inspiration: Biker-chic

Femina
The unstoppable, Jaqueline Fernandez looks like a million bucks on Femina’s August cover! She’s hot, sexy and definitely a growing force in Bollywood today and we love her Bodice stripped top with high waist pants, red lips and cascading waves – it’s what we’d like to call Shades of Hotness!! Her latest release Dishoom is taking the box-office by storm and if you haven’t seen it already, you may want to book your tickets soon!

Style inspiration: Stripes!

Grazia
If this cover of Sharaddha Kapoor in an Afro on the cover Grazia magazine won’t excite you then we don’t know what will! The Ek Villain actor posed effortlessly with confidence and velour in a black suit with white polka dots and turtleneck shirt. She looks like a true rock star and we know you’d agree.

Style inspiration: Polka dots

Pippa Middleton is engaged to James Matthews (yup, Spencer Matthews' big bro), the pair are set to marry next year. The question on everyone's lips is what will Pippa wear?! After her incredible bridesmaid gown at the Royal wedding, it may be difficult to top.

David Emanuel, the co-designer for Princess Diana's wedding dress has put his two pence in stating "As long as it's the complete opposite of the Duchess of Cambridge- then she stands a chance. She's not a royal; she's not going to be a royal. And that's all I'm saying". Right, don't hold back David. Also, stands a chance against what? * eye roll *

The designer continued stating "I personally, would put her in something very soft, perhaps chiffon, with a train of course because it's dramatic. Possibly a little lace bodice, soft and fluid, I mean she's got a great shape. And I would say the complete opposite of Kate just so she makes her own statement really. Soft and pretty".

For the most part, we understand David's sentiment. It's Pippa's big day, she has a completely different style to Kate and we know she wouldn't mimic her sister's dress. Because no sisters would do that. However, if Kate Middleton's wedding dress wasn't soft and pretty I have no idea what is!

Having a look at the Couture'16 shows, wedding dresses have taken an ethereal turn. Elie Saab's creations are stunning, unique and full on show stoppers. Pippa would look amazing in a form fitting dress, with a spin. Whether that's embellishment or 3D floral detailing, we think Pippa will go for something with an edge.

David Emanuel was right when he said that she isn't a Royal, I agree but am going to take a nicer tone. Pippa isn't a Royal, therefore she doesn't have the pressure of conforming to Royal dress codes or expectations, we think she should go for it and wear whatever the hell she wants.

If you’re under 5’4" (162cm), you’ll probably be considered petite.

It can be difficult to find outfits that fit your proportions, particularly if your chosen store doesn’t offer a petite line of clothing.

Learn how to find clothes that lift you up rather than drag you down with our outfit tips below:

1. Create length in the legs.
Straight-leg trousers and jeans will make your legs appear longer, while high-waisted trousers and skirts can add length to your legs and torso.

High-waisted bottoms will split your body into the following halves: two-thirds of your lower body and one third of your upper body. This is said to be the most flattering proportions for petite figures.

Another way to create length in the legs is going for a micro-hemline such as short shorts and mini-skirts. However, if you’d prefer a midi-skirt, opt for A-line styles that fall just below or on top of the knee.

Whichever length you choose, use skinny (rather than wide) belts that match the colour of your trousers or skirt as this will help elongate your body.

2. Co-ordinate with colour schemes.
Stick with monochrome outfits or those without too many variations of colours (such as busy prints which can swamp your frame). Colour block outfits with four colours or less is best.

Choose simple, rather than elaborate accessories to ensure the flow of your outfit is uninterrupted. Also keep in mind that oversized bags and clutches can swamp you.

3. Choose fitted outfits to avoid swamping your frame.
Fitted blazers are a must-have for petite figures. Makes sure it fits well on your shoulders and feel free to experiment with cropped and longer styles.

Fitted tops and dresses are best, avoiding those with ruffles or lots of floaty fabric. Tuck in your shirts and blouses to give you a defined waist, and don’t be afraid of maxi dresses - simply pick one that has a slim-fitting bodice that nips in at your waist.

4. Elongate with v-necks and verticals
Along with v-neck and scoop neck tops, elongate your body with vertical lines that let the eye travel along the length of your body. This could include vertical stripes, button-down shirt dresses, column dresses and pencil skirts.

A long scarf also gives illusion of length, but make sure to wear it vertically rather than around your neck.

5. Wear heels
The obvious solution to being short, choose platform heels for comfort, boots that stop just below the knee and nude heels which are a must-have as they elongate your legs - just make sure they don’t have a strap at the ankle which can break up your legs.
