The Beauty and the Beast film hits the cinemas on the 17th of March and the hype over it is huge.

This time though, the craze is not contained to Disney fanatics but hit the entire world by storm. Its influence is surprisingly far reaching, from Beauty and the Best themed afternoon tea at London hotels to primark chip purses as well as a capsule collection from the collaboration between the jewellery designer Alex Monroe and Disney.

And if that wasn’t enough, the film even influenced luxury labelsl! The renowned London designer Christopher Kane has just released a limited edition capsule collection of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories inspired by the film. The designer said he has always loved Disney movies, and was particularly inspired by the Beauty and Beast for its “strong female voice”.

The collection contains many enchanted rose designs printed on clothes and teacups on many of the jewellery pieces. The colours, such as the fairy blue, are inspired by the Beast’s castle interiors and his face is even printed on the more sporty merchandise.

The capsule will launch online and in stores on 16th March, but you can already get a sneak peak of the designs by scrolling through the gallery!

Get ready for some (more) Kardashian drama.

Kylie Jenner and her cosmetic brand are getting some serious competition from no other than her brother-in-law Kanye West. It seems like the music and fashion industry just aren’t enough for Kanye, who just filed legal documents to launch DONDA makeup.

The brand, named after his late mother, will include perfumes, lotions and cosmetics. We wonder why the cosmetics market seems so appealing to him given that Kylie’s company earned only a modest $18 million in 2016…

Now this only question is, who are we buying our next lip gloss from? We’re getting both of course!

We all use beauty products that we have no idea what they're made of. All our serums, masks and moisturisers contain a hundred ingredients we've never heard of. Like does anyone actually know what toner is? Should you really be slathering chemicals on your face? Wouldn't it make you feel better if the products you use on the surface wouldn't hurt your insides?

Natural ingredients like coconut, avocado, honey, pomegranate and more all have beauty benefits, and will be kind on your skin. Shop the products below for products that are good enough to eat...literally.

Every season a new beauty trend comes out of left field. Cast your mind back to 2015, when contouring was non-existent, then 2016 when strobing came on the scene- these beauty trends, which are now cemented in our routines were once brand-spanking new.

The AW17 shows have seen a new beauty must-have technique rise to prominence, the on-purpose smudged lip look. From Preen to Topshop, makeup artists have been emulating post-nightout lips. Yes, they may look like you've just devoured cheesy chips after six tequilas, or kissed a random hottie but this "just-snogged" effect is here to stay.

Val Garland spoke about this look he created at Preen, telling Vogue backstage that "It's about kissing and snogging. This girl goes clubbing, she's confident and she loves kissing. I'm using MAC's Lip Mix and smudging out the line, using a larger brush and buffing it out, and then applying gloss within the lip line but not outside it".

We're all for it. Next time you smudge your lippy whilst applying it on the tube, leave it, and confidently tell people it's on purpose. 'Cus if Preen gives it the seal of approval, then who are we to argue?

We're all guilty of not changing our makeup brushes regularly enough, so we decided to compile a handy guide of the best makeup brushes out there this year, so you know exactly what to invest in.

Non-touring, it kinda does what it says on the tin. Contouring took the beauty world by storm a few years back, but now there's a movement against it and the millions of ways to contour...let me introduce you to non-touring. Instead of a heavy contour, non-touring is very light. It's the perfect balance between contouring and strobing.

Use Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid as your inspiration, as they've got non-touring down.

The 3 Steps

1) Start with a primer that has a luminous finish, like Tom Fords, and apply an even layer over your skin.

2) Rather than using a full-coverage foundation, go for a BB cream or tinted moisturiser, and add concealer where needed.

3) Now this is the important step. Apply your highlighter of choice, one that matches your skin tone (read this if you're unsure) to above the cheekbones, under the brow bone, down the bridge of your nose and on the cupids bow. Essentially, this technique will give the illusion of contour through the way the highlight contrasts with your natural skin tone.

London Fashion Week well and truly kicked off yesterday! The Shopcade Editors headed over to the Freemasons and BFC spaces for a jam-packed day of shows/presentations.

First up we headed to Angus Chiang for an eclectic show of vibrant and abstract menswear pieces. Next we dashed over to the RSA to see two gush-worth presentations from Minki and Judy Wu, where the beauty looks stole the show (wet-look hair and bleached eyebrows).

Now early afternoon we ambled over to the BFC space, where we saw Marta Jakubowski's presentation (neon puffa jackets FTW).

It was definitely time for a coffee-pit stop, social media update and natter before heading to the Ekaterina K. and Steven Tiu presentations. The stark contrast between them made for a pleasurable viewing, one overtly feminine and romantic, the other androgynous and minimalist.

Early evening rolled around and we were excited for the highlight of day one- Ashely Williams. Perched on the front row, across from the likes of Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe, we saw an array of politically-driven, sports-luxe pieces. From cowgirl-chic to plush tracksuits, it was nothing short of inspiring.

19:30 hit and we made a final dash to the Rocky Star catwalk. From bridal pieces, to heavily embellished a-line skirts, old school glamour was definitely the order of the day from this designer.

Scroll the gallery above for the highlights, and shop what we wore on day 1 below...
