If you’re anything like us, beauty is an area to invest in so it’s worth taking full advantage of the discounts to stock up on your favourite brands and/or shake up your regime by trying something new.

By beauty we mean make-up, makeup accessories, perfumes and skincare, but also complimentary wellness products. And The Body Shop, Rimmel and Dior are just a few of the brands we’ve seen double-take deals for.

Check out our edit of must-buys below and we’ll race you to the checkout!

Using matte finishes to overusing highlighters, we’ve come a long way in beauty trends. Glow trend has so much meaning to it. Young? Fresh? Energetic? Glow means anything. If you’ve ever looked at the beauty or makeup sections of stores, ‘glow’ is the major terminology used in all products. Although the warm sun is long gone, our skins are still embracing the sun-kissed look. Try the glow trend with highlighters or moisturisers. It’S not just a makeup trend, it’s also a skin health improvement! #glow #makeup #beauty #beautytrend #highlighter #moisturiser

This makeup look from @intothegloss on Model Teddy Quinlivan's is,so so stunning. The mix between the light coverage foundation, with the cream blush and contour and the khaki eyeshadow creates such a high class look that it's not that difficult to recreate. I also love the placement of the highlight, the complexion just look juicy. Photo Credit: @intothegloss on Twitter #makeuplook #glossy #beauty #festive #holidayseason

If there's one beauty product that I take like an essential, it's blush. Blush has the power of bringing any complexion back to life, and when I think of my favorite blushes, I think of those that have a cream formula. Cream blushes look extra natural on the skin and can create such a gorgeous live from within appearance on your cheeks. In this list, I'm sharing my favorite picks with you!

I'm loving this makeup look for a formal thanksgiving dinner. I think it could work very well for a holiday office event with your colleages or a metting the family occasion where all of the sisters and the mother, are going to asked you over and over again what shade of lipstick are you wearing. You now, any occasion that doesn't involve you and your precious turkey chillin' on the coach. Would you wear this makeup on thanksgiving? I think of @glossier Cloud Paints as one of the greatest inventions in the beauty world. The color selection is fantastic, there's literally one shade for every skintone and the formula of the product is so innovative. It looks like a cream but it goes into the skin like a gel and it blends like a absoluty dream. Being a blush fanatic, i always wish for a product that i could bring in my purse and it won't break or messed up on the daily basis. And thanks to the Cloud Paint secure packaging and the easy finger application of the product i think i found the one. You guys have a favorite product from glossier? We can finally say it: Hooray it has arrived! The big Black Friday that we've been waiting, praying and saving up for, is finallyt here! And though we have covered most topics that include gift shopping for the men in our lives, our kids, and our individual fashion cravings there's an area that is mostly beneficial during this sales period: Beauty.

Speaking of beauty we mean the umbrella that also holds makeup, cleansing, protecting the skin but also wellness products. It's truly astonishing the amount of money a woman has got to spend on decent beauty products and skincare. But with Black Friday just around the corner all of that buyer's remorse goes out the window, because there's nothing to be sorry about!

This week indulge in beauty day creams with SPF, nourishing night and eye creams, shampoo, argan oil hair solutions, skin care masks, bath oils and essences that will make your skin glow inside and out!

 Happy Black Friday shopping!

I'm loving this makeup look from @makeupshayla on instagram. The warm brown tones on her eyes and the gorgeous chocolate shade on her lips, really compliments her skin color. Shayla choose to keep the cheeks without to much color, adding a soft contour to define her cheekbones. I think brunettes looks better in a cool tone shade of brown lipstick and blondes suits a much warmer shade, like a 90´s brown. What's your thoughts on brown lipstick? NYC born, Carolyn Compres is the author and Founder the C Statement and a contributor to Taste The Style. She's a Fashion Merchandising student, wife and mama of two who feeds on chocolate and vino. She's an amazing example of a young mum with an exquisite sense of style and our Influencer Focus this week! We caught up with Carolyn and talked about current go-to items, her personal style and all that behind-the-scenes-work that goes in maintaining a blog today.

What compelled you to start a blog?#500050">

I had always wanted to do it but it wasn’t until I gave birth to my first daughter and had to spend a lot of my time at home that I did it. I didn’t feel like I could be at an office from 9-5 because my daughter was too young and I just couldn’t do leave her (first baby problems). Doing this really made me think of things I could do from home and that I was still passionate about, and it occurred to me that I had always wanted to blog. I had a lot of fears, especially the fear of being judged but I got passed them and did it. I am extremely glad I did because I couldn’t be happier with what I have accomplished in a year.#500050">

What's your relationship with fashion? How did it start and what motivates you to keep at it?

Ever since I was a little girl I was extremely passionate about dressing up. I guess it started by seeing my mom and looking at her dress up, it just made me really interested in fashion. I used to collect Vogue Magazines back when I lived in the Dominican Republic and I knew I wanted to dress like those people I saw on the magazines. It’s not hard to keep motivated at it because I feel it comes naturally but sometimes I get a ‘fashion block’ just like writers do and that’s when it becomes a little harder.#500050">

How would you define your personal style? Do you have any icons people accounts that you follow?#500050">

I don’t have a definition for my personal style. I would like to think I am a chameleon, I am willing to try anything at all and I guess that what makes my style. When it comes to inspiration, my biggest inspiration is everyone and everything I see on the streets of NY. Instagram accounts that inspire me are @alwaysjudging and @mirandamakaroff. Both very different styles, but they inspire me in so many ways on a daily basis.#500050">

What do you enjoy most about mixing and matching high street with high end clothing i.e. from YOOX?#500050">

To me, it has always been about the clothing. It doesn’t matter what brands I am shopping or how much does it cost, all that matters is that I like it and I think that’s what I love about it. Using clothes that you are genuinely proud of wearing and not because someone is paying you or because it is socially acceptable to wear it.#500050">

Can you give us 3 styling rules that you abide by?#500050">

I don’t think there are any rules in fashion and that’s what I love about it. You should wear whatever you feel like wearing and forget about the rules.#500050">

What are your current go-to items when getting ready in the morning?#500050">

My current go-to items in the morning are my white Mango boots, my Gucci belt, and my Tory Burch sweater (Its freezing in NY).#500050">

What's the biggest misconception about having your own blog?#500050">

I think the biggest misconception about having a blog is that you need to wear certain items, or that you need to follow certain rules. Be yourself, be confident, and don’t give a shit about what others think.#500050">

What's your morning routine? (makeup beauty styling breakfast)#500050">

I love skin care, and it’s something I want to talk a lot more about with my audience. Although it might sound vain, but your face is so important because everything you do with it people will see. There is no covering up, although makeup helps it isn’t magic. That’s why having a good beauty routine is important, I am still learning about my face therefor not claiming to know anything about it but the most important thing about my morning routine is my skincare routine, I wash my face with Avène : Cleanance Gel, then I tone with Caudalie: Beauty Elixir, then I essence with SK-II: Facial Treatment Essence, then I use a serum from the Glossier 3 pack and then moisturize with Avène: Cleanance Expert, and finish with Milk Makeup’s: Cooling Water for under eye puffiness and  Sunshine Skin Tint which contains both SPF and a little bit of preservative free foundation. I am not a breakfast person but I always have a Starbucks Grande Nonfat Capuccino to go!

What projects are you working on now?#500050">

There are many exciting projects on the works. A lot of brand collaborations coming at the end of the month and then there are other personal projects I am little too superstitious to tell just yet.
