ASOS has just launched their first activewear collection, which they have called 4505. In it, we can find everything. Literally. Look at my gallery for more inspiration. Credits: Asos

Statement earrings are IN. They are the 'It' accessory of the moment and everyone is selling them. My favourites so far have been spotted dangling in #Zara and #Mango and on #ASOS (above - image from their website). Tassels are a need for these types of earrings but I am loving the pom pom addition too. They're cute and fun and can completely dress up an outfit.

Everyone knows that there have been two hats stealing the season. The first, of course, is he berry. A classic European hat that we will never tire of. The second is a noughties classic that has come back into our fashion-lives quite suddenly: the baker boy hat. Structured with a small visor but fun round top. I was skeptical about this style of hat for a while, I wasn't sure if it was something only a few people could pull off. I think (I hope) I was wrong. I've seen this hat worn so many different ways, with a casj jeans outfit and with cute floral dresses - it seems to go with everything. Image: #ASOS

White accessories, especially those adorning our feet, are on track to be all the rage. I recently post a photo of some beautiful, buckled boots by Topshop and then stumbled upon these heels on ASOS. A cute, kitten heel version of the alternative chunky boot. These will be perfect in summer with jeans or midi skirts. I love that the heel and court toe are fairly feminine but the buckle adds a masculine edge. I have to have them. Image: ASOS

The lust for velvet continues to capture our imagination with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid sporting the trend that has pervaded the wardrobes of trendsetters and celebrities proving to be a red-carpet staple for Winter months - especially during Award season. From Amy Adams and Rita Ora in a lavish Tom Ford, Lady Gaga and Lily Donaldson in pure black and Nicole Kidman in a plunging velvet Armani Privé dress at this year’s BAFTAs.

Here’s why we’re still craving for that velvet touch.

Velvet massively took off in 2017 and is still going strong this season. This time the look is more elevated - less studio 54 and more uptown-chic. Think tailored suits, swinging dresses and grandiose skirts courtesy of Prada, Koche and Erdem.

You can go completely head to toe in sumptuous rolls of velvet, or select some velvet accessories for a touch of glamour: From quilted cross body bags to velvet embellished platforms, block heels and slingback shoes available both from designers like Prada and Rochas but also more affordable retailers like ASOS and Forever 21.

Velvet’s main characteristics are that elaborate look due to its complex and luxurious texture. However some hues on velvet can have an undesirable effect. When it comes to colour palette opt for shades of burgundy, teal, mustard, and crimson that dominate the Winter 2018 season.

Be the first to sport the velvet trend by selecting your favourite items from our exclusive edit below!

Now that January's over, the nights are drawing out and the weather's lifting, spring suddenly doesn't feel so far off, and we're certainly ready for it. Get ready to ring in the new season, and brighten up dull days as you wait, with rainbow-patterned pieces. Suddenly cropping up everywhere, multi-coloured knits (stripes are a favourite) are taking over the high street from the monotony of months of black sweatshirts. After the sell-out success of Daisy Street's long-sleeve rainbow knit jumper on ASOS, they've brought out its short-sleeved sister for £17.99, and I'm definitely going to have to delve into my bank account for this. Style with mid-wash cropped flare jeans and chunky trainers for the perfect casual spring outfit. [Photo cred: www.asos.com)

Gone are the days when dungarees were only for the playground! This season has heralded an influx of corduroy dungarees across the major high street retailers (ASOS and Topshop included) seeking to emulate the lasting cool of this vintage style. Yes, they were practical in your early days toddling around with teddy in hand but, as usual, bigger means better, and now you can wear them over a chunky vintage jumper with worn trainers for a late-night library session or Sunday trip to the farmers' market. Finish off the look with a beret, as shown here, for that extra touch of class. [Photo cred: Instagram, @liberty.mai]
